Hey man, not gonna say it, right? You know it, right? Just gonna leave the lyrics, right?
btw - one of the greatest brazillian singers
      Tim Maia - Você
      Suddenly the pain
      of waiting is over
      And love has finally arrived
      I, who have always dreamed,
      but never believed
      much in myself
      I saw time go by,
      winter come
      again, but this time
      all the tears were gone
      A spell was cast
      My love
      You
are more than what I know
are more than what I thought
are more than what I was expecting, baby
      You
      are something like this
      are everything to me
are how I dreamed of, baby
      I'm happy now
      No, don't go away, no
      No, no, no, no, no
      You
are more than what I know
are more than what I thought
are more than what I was expecting, baby
      You
      are something like this
      are everything to me
are how I dreamed of, baby
      I'm happy now
      Don't, don't go away, no
      No, no, no, no, no
      No, don't go away
      No, don't go away
      No, don't go away
I will miss you to death
I will miss you to death
I will miss you to death
      Don't go away
      Don't go away

The guy sitting on the right, keyboardist Rod Temperton, wrote and arranged for all of Heatwave’s hits, including “Grooveline” and “Always and Forever”. He later went on to write many other hits, including “Off The Wall”, “Rock With You”, “Thriller”, Baby Be Mine”, and “The Lady In My Life” for Michael Jackson, “Stomp!” for the Brothers Johnson, “Give Me The Night” for George Benson, “Baby, Come To Me” for Patti Austin and James Ingram, “Yah Mo B There” and “Sweet Freedom” for Michael McDonald/James Ingram. Dude, so somehow you showed up on my UA-cam feed with your reaction to Pearl Jam - Black. When that song came out I was in my very early 20s and it was a pivotal song for me. Watching your reaction and appreciation to a song that I have heard more times then I can remember and still gives me goosebumps and makes me tear up...seeing how you enjoyed it was really special to me. I have watched a few more of your reactions to songs that I grew up with that mean so much to me personally; Crosby, Stills and Nash....dude, I saw them open for the Grateful Dead (and many other times) in Pittsburgh, it must have been 1993? I throughly enjoy watching you hear (really hear) these songs. One of my older sisters loved this song back in the day.
She enjoyed dancing a lot, and would make up dances to these songs all the time.
    This tune:
    *"Flashlight"* (Parliament)
    *"Brick House"* (Commodores)
    *"Fire"* (Ohio Players)
    *"Get Off"* (Foxy)
These were some of her favorite songs to dance to back in the 70's.
And what surprised a lot of us was what a great dancer she was. You could show her a new move, and she would pick it up just like that...

The white guy playing keyboards is Rod Temperton, he wrote all the songs for Heatwave, plus he was hugely successful in the 70s and 80s having written Thriller and Off the Wall for Michael Jackson, Rock With You. He also wrote George Benson's hits "Give Me the Night" and "Love X Love", and Patti Austin's and James Ingram's US #1 hit "Baby, Come to Me", among many others.
Temperton wrote the soundtrack for the 1986 film Running Scared. He won a Grammy Award in 1991 for his work on "Birdland", from Quincy Jones's album Back on the Block.
Temperton wrote successfully for other musicians, his hits including "Stomp!" for The Brothers Johnson, , "Baby, Come to Me" for Patti Austin and James Ingram, "Love Is in Control (Finger on the Trigger)" for Donna Summer, and "Yah Mo B There" for Ingram and Michael McDonald. He also wrote for Herbie Hancock, The Manhattan Transfer, Mica Paris, Rufus and Chaka Khan and many others.

If it weren't for Debbie Boone's idiotic "You Light Up My Life," this record would have made it to number one, where it belonged. I loved it when it came out; I still have the single. Atmospheric disco records like this seemed so dreamy to me at the time, especially with the wall of sound production and vocals and the harp in the mix against the beat. I'd like to see you make more comments, honestly, about the music itself, the aspects of the recording you find interesting. More listening and less looking at videos, tbh, is what I'm looking for as a viewer.

So love songs are idiotic? I was in my early 20s in '77-'78, a child of the '50s. Guess I'm a sap, old school. I liked the love song. Evidently I wasn't alone, as YLUML was the biggest U.S. single of the '70s, setting records for the longest time spent in the #1 spot. I loved the eclectic music from the '60s and early '70s. I think the runaway popularity of a song more reminiscent of an earlier time probably symbolized the discontent of many music lovers during the disco era. When disco came along, almost all the people my age I knew were disappointed in the flashy 'disco ball' direction music was taking, although there was definitely some good music from the genre/era, such as Boogie Nights. To each his own. I think Jamel is doing a great job. His enthusiasm, good cheer, and good vibes bring hope for a generation younger than mine. I believe he's right, he was born after his time, a goodwill ambassador for his generation. The music, along with the videos, takes me back to the time of my youth, the atmosphere, the fashion, the good and the bad, memories. That's what music does, the videos just enhance the experience, IMHO. I despise the disharmony that we see among God's creation everywhere you look right now. Not everything from the past was bad, learn from the bad, savor the good. Be humble, be kind, spread joy, peace, & love.
