Hi Rachit - Excellent video! Minor correction : The lane assist works with camera only (mounted on windscreen). Radar needs objects to detect and it cannot detect unmarked lanes.
My dear , lane assist works camera sensor not the radar.
Correction - Radar is not used for lane marking detection. It can only detect solid objects.
Exactly. Lane features purely use camera, Radar cannot see lane markings at all. During snow, rain this needs to be avoided, some cars disable Adas automatically in such situations.
The kind of highways and express-ways India is building, ADAS will be a must have in all cars. Mahindra has done a very futuristic thing and really thought what will be the need in coming times.

Hi, Radar isn't used to detect lane marking - it is only done using Camera! Radar is used primarily for collision warning

@@thehighendzone9632no there’s no special sensor for lane. It’s purely camera. Presence of radar doesn’t improve any Lane features. It’s only for collision detection.
To give another perspective, Adaptive cruise control ka use village roads par bhi kar sakte hain. I have tried it out on MG Astor.

Thanks for the very useful information about ADAS. Having a quick query, many people says using auto braking option cause damage to brakes, and need to change the same as early as after 10000 km of running. Did you experience the same?

Hi, One question regarding Adas... How does it behave when a splash of water is created by trucks on highways, which can cover your entire windscreen in heavy rains
ADAS will only help when majority of vehicles have this feature. Especially large vehicles like trucks and buses.

let's c when it is properly used by people but personally felt that it is going to increase accidents as if it would have features like this and owner rely on these features properly, then these things can create a mess, i think if adas in India is developed to a level of auto drive feature in Tesla, then it ll become meaningful

No. Not unless there is a vehicle in front of you which has also slowed down. On an empty road it won't slow down.
