BMW E60 how to fix crumpling headlight internal wires

re-upload i accidentally deleted the one i posted yesterday.
in this video i show you how to fix a very common issue with the headlight wiring. they become brittle and crumple with touch, exposing bare wires to other bare wires. easy fix is to use liquid tape as trying to use heat shrink will be very very difficult.

I needed this. Thank you for the video. My Volvo has the same crumbling wire coating. I tried to tape it but it only made it worse crumbling it all off and almost impossible to twist it on.

Does anyone know how to access the wiring for replacement once they have cracked to the point that shorts are causing lighting failure? If I could get the thing open (the rear box, not the lens), I can just replace the wiring with new that has better insulation that won't crack so quick, like the biodegradeable insulation used at the factory.

cut open headlights or with a lot of time and patience a heat gun...or just replace headlights.

Mickey Mouse solution for a side of the road fix, but definitely need to get inside that headlight and do a proper repair to the wires.

That sadly is not possible the headlights are sealed
