For a superhero, it has to hit much closer to home coming from Frank Castle than it would from the Joker.

You know what is badass.. and I never paid attention to this, probably obvious but.
When frank gives daredevil a gun and has it aimed at himself (frank) and he's going to shoot a bad guy and frank says you shoot me or I shoot him, either way you're a killer. Daredevil says "what kind of choice is that?!" Frank says "the one I make every time I pull the trigger."
Daredevil is in a position where he can kill someone (frank) to stop frank from killing another human. If he doesn't kill that human (frank) others will die and it will be on his (Daredevil's) conscience.
This is exactly what frank feels.. that if he doesn't kill these bad guys, the death and harm they cause will be on Frank's conscience.
It is kind of obvious I guess but I never really thought of frank that way. Yes he wants the men who killed his family, but he also feels great burden and guilt for NOT killing people, because he then holds himself responsible for what they do

@@albertmuramasa201 I like daredevil overall as a character for other reasons, but his foundation and philosophy are very weak. He is an idealist like you said, but in reality he follows this or that law at his own whim." People deserve another chance " so he doesn't kill them but otherwise he decides what laws to obey and which to break, very subjective. He's not a paragon of submission to legislation, and he serves as his own undermining. He can't hold the law in such high regard as the parameters by which one is bound when in his night of deathless vengeance he broke 30 laws. Including beating people to a pulp.
He isn't actively hurting innocent people, but otherwise his philosophy and actions aren't so different than the criminals he tries to thwart. They both shun convention and oberservance of societal rules to the extent that they find appropriate. Just that he happens to be on the "good" side, or what most people would consider good.
He doesn't come close in idealism to Kant, who would say he is just as bad as the criminals he stops (deontology )

Probably already watch it, but if not start on Daredevil season 2 and then the Punisher. Disney plus is bringing back Daredevil and it’s rumored that Jon Bernthal will reprise his role as the Punisher. Hopefully he get his own show.

I've never liked the punisher, he's very 1 dimensional and pretty much just basic.
This series and Jon Berenthal's performance had made me a fan of the punisher. The plot and dialogue and his world are sooo much better than the comics. Jon is to the punisher what RDJ is to Ironman and Hugh Jackman is to Wolverine.💯
@MR. RICKLES FARTTENHOOS in all honesty I never cared for his comic book counterpart. Although I will say that Garth Eniss's in the comics was pretty intense and realistic, it was very isolated from the rest of marvel comics. Which is I guess something that best fits the story?
But with the MCU punisher I can see this variation of the punisher working out very well in the MCU, I just honestly hope that they don't do anything god-awful with his character when he does finally make his official MCU debut in a future project Ala the Daredevil revival or even the upcoming Moon night.
