When frank gives daredevil a gun and has it aimed at himself (frank) and he's going to shoot a bad guy and frank says you shoot me or I shoot him, either way you're a killer. Daredevil says "what kind of choice is that?!" Frank says "the one I make every time I pull the trigger." Daredevil is in a position where he can kill someone (frank) to stop frank from killing another human. If he doesn't kill that human (frank) others will die and it will be on his (Daredevil's) conscience. This is exactly what frank feels.. that if he doesn't kill these bad guys, the death and harm they cause will be on Frank's conscience. It is kind of obvious I guess but I never really thought of frank that way. Yes he wants the men who killed his family, but he also feels great burden and guilt for NOT killing people, because he then holds himself responsible for what they do

Although I will say that Garth Eniss's in the comics was pretty intense and realistic, it was very isolated from the rest of marvel comics. Which is I guess something that best fits the story? But with the MCU punisher I can see this variation of the punisher working out very well in the MCU, I just honestly hope that they don't do anything god-awful with his character when he does finally make his official MCU debut in a future project Ala the Daredevil revival or even the upcoming Moon night.

Everyone is afraid to tell him what they think, except matt, he's mustered up the courage, and his 2nd fight with him says so much, he wins because he's so much more confident now. Then his continued pursuit of Wilson fisk, his growing relationship with fisk, he begins to prey on his weakness, and is no longer afraid of fisk. Matt Murdock is not a half measure, he's a full man, and a good man.
