Just got a 2018 xl883 iron, rode it three times now and I love it! She just glides when you turn! And the V&H exhaust is so beast sounding

So I had a quick question for you because I could not find the answer on Harley Davidson blogs or anywhere for that matter. But I turned on my bike without turning on the engine and pushed the indicator on the left just like your video shows and I could see that it says gear/RPMs but how do you get it to show when you are in first and second and so on with the gears? Do I have to have the engine on? Without fully turning the engine on I clicked it down to first and I did not see anywhere on the indicator that I was in first gear. Thank you in advance I hope my question made sense.

Are those mirror stock short stem mirror? I have a 2018 fourty eight speical. Changed out the tall boy handle bar to a 883 handle bar. I wonder id it will fit and wouldnt hit my gas tank. Thanks
What do you have for front marker lights?. I noticed the had a white led halo when they were not flashing.

On my Harley 883 I don’t see a toggle where yours is at. Does this not have it on this year? I can only see the miles. I would love to see the gear indicator.

Hold the button in until it resets, just like any other trip reset.

I wonder what year they changed the controls. My 2010 iron 883 doesn’t have 4 way blinkers nor does it tell you rpm and what gear your in. It’s also changed from behind the cluster. I also don’t have the headlight blinking button.

I'm a new rider . I bought a Honda Rebel 250 to learn and get experience. I'm thinking to upgrade to 883 myself. My question is , Are Harleys too expensive for regular maintenance like oil change ?

I’ve only done the 1k mile maintainer and it was about $300 but after that oil changed are cheaper

They really aren't bad if you do it yourself, it's not hard at all to do. Doing it yourself or taking it to a indy shop would be around 50 to 60 bucks depending on what oil you choose.

Sportsters don’t need valve adjustment, no chain to lube, two easy access spark plugs. Very easy maintenance.

Got a 2017 883 gonna be delivered Saturday so I never learned to ride a bike but i was always taller than the bikes i got as a kid mostly hand downs but i can balance well and think i can learn the controls so I'm down for the experience.

Manual. Harley Davidson dealership. You can also find them used various dealers and locations. Internet is your friend.
I'm torn between the 883 and the Rebel 500 from Honda. I'm 6'2 and both seem comfortable for my first bike. Has anyone here owned both?
What about the fuel how do you know the amount you have?
About 50 miles per gallon.No indicator but dummy light will come on when your down to the last gallon.

My 2010 Sportster iron 883 doesn't have gear indicator. Press above horn and nothing, just 'BEEEEEP!'
