Brings back memories, great video and a great cave and well worth going in the Winter as the summer time it is full of people. Maybe wear helmets next time in case you boink your head. cheers
wow it looks cold cant believe snow is still on the ground. i bet its very cold in the cave too. if the cave is the median temperature of the region then that means its going to be pretty freaking cold down there
You still live in Pagosa never got a chance to camp Explorer is it anybody's pretty much never got a chance to go fishing my body is broken not good😢 least I can watch this stuff I guess thank you for busting our asses bring these videos
Are you guys sharing ONE LIGHT? Cause when one of you asked the other to hold the light while he navigated a few steps downward and the other said "sure, do you mind if I hold the light for a while now?" Either you guys are clueless what a risk your taking in experiencing a horrible nightmarish and slow miserable death filled with self-hatred for being so stupid or? I don't know what the alternative explanation could be! Maybe it didn't occur to you that if that light goes out you will not be able to find your way out? Maybe you haven't considered that there is no food down there and food is necessary to continue living and food is where that valuable light can take you?
I will try to simply explain so even you Shawn may understand. A person must check in at the ranger station to notify park officials that one is in the cave. Secondly it's not Mammoth Cave , the cave is known and mapped as well as posted in the check station. Never was there a risk of what you mentioned.
@@PD-fu5gy oh I see now, my bad, never was there a risk of you being lost in the darkness until you eventually starved to death because someone else would have come down there with lights and rescued you. Thank you for putting it so that someone like me who's not as smart as you can understand the logic of going in without sufficient lights. You had it all figured out and here I was thinking someone else would have to go save you from yourself
your welcome and you meant supposition (not logic) also building on your assertion, protracted survival process of starvation is 70d certainly adequate time for favorable outcome

Gloves were on our hands most of the time and we had backpacks and like 5 different lights.

We both had our own head lamps and an extra pack of batteries each besides the flash light lol not my first time doing this

caveat : example of the root word logic [ it's logical the extent of Shawn's education was obtained from Bert & Ernie
