- we found rare crystals and discovered a new passage in this trip to the outer limit of Pettyjohns cave.
to see part two where we explore even more of this section of the cave check out: • Huge Crystal Discovery...
My brain hurts watching you guys crawl through super tight spaces. You two are brave. Thankyou for getting good footage for us people who will never go inside caves
You don't understand the nature of men, they love confined spaces by nature
Lol BRAVE... thats one word for it, nuts would also do nicely. I love exploring but these guys make my skin crawl
@@outofsightoutofmind697 ٦،
could be dangerous to go in there when it's raining outside, no? well, looks dangerous even without rain, but that could add a whole new level of deaths
Maixoxo i love u come to me baby
Never seen anything like this in my life. Real adventure it was. Huge respect for you guys.
And very stupid
@3:15 when he asks, "Are you sure this is the way?" and the other guy responds, "We're never sure!" That's how you know these guys are up-to some serious spelunking. In the next scene they reach some crystals. This directly highlights the rewarding experience of exploring every pit/tunnel/mine, etc that only the brave and prepared can experience first-hand.
Thanks for the videos! I've found great-joy in absorbing almost your entire channel in these past few weeks! I look forward to many more videos & posibly re-visits of previously recorded caves! Your content takes me back to my years in scouting where I was able to explore Mammoth cave once, and climb-outdoors pretty regularly year-round.
I've got to buy my own climbing gear nowadays and I'm going to start with a gri-gri just so they'll allow me to belay at my closest gym, but Ellis Cave is on my bucket-list now - after I brush-up on things.
The best part about your videos is that you guys sound exactly like we did when we were in a cave, every time 😂 You guys are the only people on UA-cam experiencing caves properly - but I haven't seen all of the content on here yet
😊😊
I so much admire the way you guys are simply in awe like it’s your first adventure on every adventure! It’s so beautiful what our Earth hides away from us. All the nooks and crannies are so ethereal to see! Keep up the good work and stay safe exploring ❤
I have to say that in my younger years, with old mine shafts and caving that I have explored, I have never ad big enough brass ones like you guys have. There is no way I'd have gone into the places you have been. This video is extremely entertaining with many dangerous and exciting areas of the cave. Be careful, be safe, and enjoy what your doing while you are young. God bless!

I just gotta say, I have a huge appreciation and strange addiction to watching your guys’ videos! They’re so fun and really high quality. I can tell you guys really like what you do. (The new GoPro footage looks great btw) Stay safe and have fun!
Really cool stuff for sure
I agree 💯%
I definitely agree. Not sure where the addiction came from but I enjoy the videos
Llpw333z
I have a light headache watching this. It reminds me of the Thai soccer boys in Thailand who made worldwide news. 😂😂
9 hours in there???? That's a crazy amount of time! These videos are great to watch. I did my first cave this year. Loved it!
9 hours is tame. had to spend 22+ hours with my family in a cave that flash flooded and if we moved from our spot we would have drowned
It is incredible that you do this...
I admit the caves are awesome and I am glad that you braved them and shared the footage because I could never bring myself to go through those places you both do with such enthusiasm.
I pray for your saftey and I hope you find many more cool places to explore.
if we can put wired lights and AC in the caves I think I would do this kind of things
@@profecarrillo6479look up cave tours lol
It’s like you guys are on another planet! Stay safe and take care.
The pits and slits look dicey especially when it’s so muddy all around😳 glad you’re both safe. Those crystals are cool, though!
Though He's replying the comment form the same cave myan🤣
Dudes!!!!!! My heart is pounding but I can't stop watching.
Thanks for the incredable adventures you have taking me on. Much Love
You guys live so fearlessly and it helps me imagine living that way and that’s exciting to me, thank you ☺️💛
awesome pieces of calcite, particularly the cubic ones in the first room, theyre referred to as "icelandic spar." it was used a lot of the time to track the sun in low light conditions by vikings and other sea-faring cultures in the north atlantic. the birefringence properties allow the crystals to split light in such a way that mirrors light back to the C axis, Kodak used to source it from mexico to make gunsights for ww2 fighter planes
dang, TIL something very interesting!
That’s some really cool facts

Years ago in the 1960s I was in the NSS. I went into over 100 caves in Tennessee, Alabama, and Georgia. We explored some of the most amazing caves during this time. This brings back a lot of memories
TAG ❤
Been there! ❤️
Would any of them caves been in the eastern Tennessee area say Smith and Dekalb county
You two are Amazing!
I SO appreciate your ability and love of taking us into the Cave.
The crystals and waterfalls and rocks rivers are beautiful 🤩!
Great attitudes and very Brave too. Stay Safe!
Thank you so much, ❤️
I am claustrophobic, so I am freaking out watching you guys going thru the cave. You certainly earned reaching the point of discovering those crystals. They're awesome!!
Absolutely insane grip strength descending into the canyon section, some very skilled caving you two got up to!
Glad they made it out but what they did is frowned upon. If they fell down that 30 foot pit it would take a rescue team more than 24 hours to get the injured out.
@@theForrestGalantey Well we'll certainly know something happened if they stop uploading suddenly
@@theForrestGalantey in mexico we would just pour lime (Cal) on top of them
@@theForrestGalantey ofc this thing has risks with them that's why you're not doing that.
@@Jee2024IIT Buddy I've caved quite a bit before I blew out my knee. Taking unnecessary risks is foolish. It puts many others in danger and requires hours and tons of man power to recover people.
All I said was I'm glad they made it out and that they took some ballsy risks.
It's obvious not too many people make it back to the crystal room because, unfortunately, there wouldn't be that many crystals left (especially the loose ones) if a lot of people made it there. That room is amazing.
you have to be a certain size and the mud and very tight crawls makes it a nightmare to get back there
@@ActionAdventureTwins but look soo worth it! I’m claustrophobic as hell but maybe, just maybe I’d try that to see that beautiful room
Your right not many people make it that far!because there is no need!young dumb and full of testosterone!hope these guys dint have KID'S because THAT is what makes you GROW UP!
Okay so cool and huge Crystal

This is an amazing video, I never watched before. Going to that cave is really tough and more adventurous thing is returning back without forgetting route.
Wow it has been a long time over 40 years but I remember that cave. Thanks for the flash back great find!
The Double-A twins never fail to deliver. These guys are the rock stars of spelunking. Thanks for posting. 👍🏼👍🏼
I’m sitting down and catching up with some of my favorite channel sub uploads I missed over the past couple of months.
From the Pettyjohn videos I have seen you guys upload, and other user uploads, this camera shows me the true experience it would be as a climber - depth and width wise. Also shows a visually accurate ratio of human body to cavern room size!! Love the camera, helps me feel less afraid of this cave!!
Thank you again. You two are able to work thru those caves like as true adventurer's. That was awesome. I hope you filled up your backpacks with those crystals. Made my mouth water.
I can honestly say I like nothing about what you are both doing but can’t stop watching. Well done keep up the great work and stay safe 👍
Holy crap 9 hours in a cave. Impressive. You guys could add some parameters on the video like temperature, depth and time
Yess I second this!!
up
@@PurpleBassThumb i agree
Super duper sirji salute 👍
Everyone realizes that s standard work shift is 8hrs and ppl work 16hrs shifts as well. And that ppl work hard labor jobs for a living…. I would suggest a change of perspective so life doesn’t slap you too hard in the face… great video though.
I think I have about 10 panic attacks in almost every video lmao. So impressive.... I could watch you guys for hours.
Ikr lol had my heart beating like damn
You both are true heros... I am speechless... Without you we all will never see these treasures of Mother nature...
Holy moly u guys r awesome hold me every second to watch. Great appreciation u deserve and made it to the end safely 👍
There are tritium key chains that you can get which provide a light source that lasts 11 years before degrading. Please consider getting one of these (the largest you can get). It doesn't seem like a lot of light, because it isn't, but in pitch black darkness, such as if your lights were broken or went dead deep down in a cave, it would be an absolute life saver. It would provide just enough light to faintly see your surroundings, which is all you need in a life or death situation, stuck in the dark.
I noticed how useful these little key chains were when a hurricane hit and our lights went out. After about 30 minutes, my eyes adjusted to what little light they give off and I was able to navigate through my home. Seriously, in a normal lit room, they don't even glow. But at night in pitch black, it's amazing what eyes can adjust to and just how bright they can seem.
Holy crap! You crab crawled along a slick muddy ditch over one of the scariest looking pits I've ever seen with no rope. You kids are next level! Crazy AF but balls like bulls. Much respect.
Y’all are amazing . I just moved to West Virginia…. Been looking for caves. This satisfies me so much. And yes your footage is amazing thank you so much for the entertainment!!!!
These guys are great. You can tell they just love everything they discover and it’s nice to see
My breathing chokes seeing u guys squeeze through such narrow tiny crevices & passages, u guys are reallly absolutely insanely awesome.
THANK YOU SO MUCH for this adventure . There is absolutely no way I could have crawled thru some of those tight areas.
I've always wanted to go into a really Cool Cave and y'all did it for us. 👍👍👏👏👏👏😃
Hey guys, I can't tell you what a relief it was to see you out of that hole. That was impressive.
this was fun to see, i love all the crystals you found too and great on you both for not destroying them
Again guys you have the most exciting adventures and it's so nice of you to let me tag along I didn't even get muddy thanks again for the adventure take care of yourselves and be careful
Major respect to you guys. Being able to see places maybe only a few people or no one at all has is a real treat.
i would love to see a video about why you guys do this, and what started you on this path. these videos are the perfect amount of suspense and fulfillment. be safe and never stop the Adventure!
Man the energy you both have is awesome for what you just share with us
Stay safe also
You guys must’ve been really sore after that 9 hour adventure. Thanks for sharing.
We were dead the next day 🤣
It's good to have the camera view following the lead person so we get a much better scope of the size and shape of the tunnel and caves you explore. to be able to see the person in frame while you travel really puts the area in perspective. I enjoy your videos.
You guys are freaking awesome! Thank you for taking me on that absolutely awesome trip with you. Incredible and very educational. Do you ever sell your crystals that you brought back with you? That would be so cool to get one.
Thanks guys for making this happen. Waiting for more. And always pray for your safety. God blessed!!
Wow - I found myself actually leaning to the side when you were navigating "The Slit"! Haha! WHOA! So intense - you're very, very brave and must be in excellent physical condition. I'm tired & feel like I had a workout just having watched you. Thank you for sharing such an amazing adventure! I'd love to see a crystal room like that & know I'd never have the brass to commit myself to making the trip. What an exciting exploration - stay safe & please keep sharing!
You guys scare the crap out of me, and I must like it cuz I keep coming back for more😰 Amazing crystals!!! That was great!!!!!
Literally one of the best videos I’ve ever seen on UA-cam!!
I'm just breathless from the start. yet can't stop watching. great courage guys.
Well after my first caving experience through you both it's safe to say I wont be having my own! Fascinating loved every single second of this, showed me and others I presume just what is beneath us, sending loads support and love from uk 💕
I'm hoping for a part 3 of this cave!! I subscribed so I won't miss an adventure!
AMAZING AND INCREDIBLE!!! Thanks for the great and fantastic journey. I enjoyed every second of the video. Very intense and special hobby. No doubt.
Take care buddies. Good bless you always.
Bill and Ted’s excellent caving adventure. I love it! Enjoy being young dudes. It won’t last long.
That waterfall inside was way cool. Excellent video. Your trip to the outer limits of the cave took me to the inner limits of my mind. Funny no matter how I tell myself not to get worried, I do, heart rate faster, shallower breathing, I like your videos but also happy once you're back outside.😀
Always a pleasure to watch these amazing adventurous videos. It's like someplace that no one would ever dare go to. But you guys.. dang! Keep up the great work and stay safe out there! Auto subbed.
Wow....beautiful. Thank you for sharing your adventures 😊. I was holding my breath in those close quarters.
You boys are wild man! Ya'll crossing that suicide slit had me on the edge of my seat. All that mud and moisture had me worried for you guys. Also, going up that water fall was super neat. Just when i thought the passage would narrow, it just kept going. This is the most technical cave i've seen you traverse through. Well done.
Awww wow a really cool cave with amazing colours and textures, really like the waterfall, loved all of it, the Crystals look awesome.. You guys rock 😍😍
“Ain’t nothing to it, but to do it! “
Lol I love it, especially after saying it was super tight, yet you both just go for it. You guys are awesome!
When you guys do petty johns cave exploration I follow your progress with a map of petty johns. Makes it much better.
Totally insane. Needs a lot of courage and passion. Love to see you guys safe....
That was incredible. I could never fit in some of those places. It was also Brave, Crazy, and Sketchy
It’s a huge feat of strength for someone as claustrophobic as me to watch your videos all the way through 😝. I get more and more anxious as you go on right up till you are at the slit and my heart is pumping like I’m exercising lol. I give you guys massive credit I wish I had the juevos and experience to do that
I’m so claustrophobic it hurts to watch these videos, at the same time I’m so intrigued and love watching these videos. I just can’t imagine how brave you have to be to do this. I pray y’all stay safe❤
Bro i have heard tales of caves in my area going on for miles but never believed it until watching your videos, crazy stuff
“This is not safe at all,” continues to go down 😂 epic vid
Nice! I'm a a semi-retired caver who did a lot of Kentucky caving. This reminds me of a KY cave. Lots of mud! Those crystals were amazing. I feel like I went caving from my couch- sans mud! LOL
May God keep you safe & healthy all those tunnels & caves through. Somthing really different & worth investing time. You remind me of my old school days.
This reminds me of one of my favorite movies, " As Above, So Below" thank you for sharing💜
When you’re squeezing thru all those tiny spaces my cloister phobia REALLY sets in, don’t know how ya do it! I’m really impressed guys!
I’ve had the best times in petty John’s. We met some cool guys about 3 hours in once who gave me a really sick map of the cave, they said they have been 3 days deep into cave before. Yes peanut butter mud pulls your boots off and you always come out completely drained physically and emotionally. Epic video!
oh yeah this cave is the best and the cave is so big you can definitely get lost in there for days! we found a map online that we have been following for a long time now and it is very detailed they did a good job making it!
Dude, whoa, crazy, sketch, wild, awesome! The commentary is riveting.
I held my breath for a while u were sqeezing through those muddy narrow passages...real..real adventure👍👍
That was a sweet explore guys! Thanks for the ride! 👍
I am jealous of how font of a strong bond they would have to be through all these together ..Lots of love from Nagaland India.
Thank you for the most thrilling adventure ever!! Keep rocking...
That was one of the most amazing things I have ever seen. Thank you
The most beautiful and wonderful adventure I have seen with you guys. You are really wonderful guys. You live reality in caves and dark caverns. Beware, and I wish you success.
Best video yet. I’m frickin sketching watching you guys carve out new territory and wondering HOW THE HECK ARE YOU GOING TO GET BACK?
Dude can you imagine just how long it took for that water to carve all that out
Probably a few hundred thousand years
Probably a few days
At least a few years
Never understood how water could do this. To remove material using water you must have an entrance and an exit for the water to pass thru
@@chadsmith9218 it can still seep through the dirt which causes all the dirt underneath to shirt as it's being washed down. Just because you cant see a large opening doesn't mean the water has no where to go
This was great footage! Your style of video is entertaining. Stay safe
You guys are crazy! Thanks for putting up vids, I like going in caves but wouldn't do some of those squeezes.
That's sick, hope to see you guys explore that waterfall passage further one day
The video was very stable. The light seems very bright, too. Nice job!
Definitely, super bright super clear.
These guys are the bravest living human and hero I have ever seen. Amazing, just amazing. My heart shakes with fear as I watch these explorers go on their adventure.
❤Wow ! You guys are epic ! Love your sense of fearlessness and adventure 🫶🏻❤️fifi
This was nothing short of fascinating. Absolutely intense. Like seeing another planet.
17:29 Ngl, that weird rock formation further back in the shot scared me for a sec. Looks like meeting Gollum in a real cave in an indie horror movie or something.
My anxiety level got too high to continue watching this vid. You guys are freaking crazy!!
Three hour journey back, cold and tired.Sounds like good memories and a huge adventure!
Boggles the mind that there are crazy, beautiful under ground waterfalls that exist that no human or animal have ever seen. And they just exist in their beauty, regardless of being seen or not.
Holy crap!! You two truly have earned that channel name!! I can’t even tell you how many times I would have just curled up in a ball and started crying! Your appetite for adventure is insatiable! Please be careful boys - no matter how much I love your content, your well-being should always be top of mind, ok? Don’t let your moms watch this!
You guys are amazing
Keep it up❤🙌
Dude, every time I see your videos I feed like in a Legend of Zelda game. You guys are some brave dudes. Stay safe ✌️
Yal are very impressive young men thank you for taking us along
video quality looks ace!
What an suspenseful adventure! Thank you for sharing.
"This is not safe at all, man." lol😅The crystal and mineral formations you guys run across are so awesome. The underground rivers, streams, and ponds are so beautiful. I can't do the heights or the cramped passages, so it's nice that you guys can do it for me so I can enjoy these unbelievable and unique spaces. Thanks, dudes. 🤙
We did a 13 hour trip in there back in the 90's. Always a very wet muddy and cold experience. We got into Shriebers extension. There was a place where those crystals are in the streambed. If you look carefully at the walls in the entrance you will see marine fossils. This proves all that was under the ocean at one point very far back in history.
Keep exploring and respecting these places. There is a cave nearby called hoot owl cave and an even better prospect for a second entrance into Pettyjohns called North bend sink. It is full of brown recluse spiders and you need vertical gear.
that's so cool, we're going to try to make it far into shreibers extension soon. We have been into northbend sink twice now. We were told it may be a second entrance to petty johns cave. we went a week ago and felt one passage blowing a bunch of cold air out of it and we're going to go back and explore it. so far we haven't needed vertical gear for it though.
@@ActionAdventureTwins We dug and reburied a hole in North bend sink. There were at least two long talus slopes going down 150 feet or better. Someone had to have found our dig by now. We wanted to find an entrance to Pettijohns that bypassed a lot of the crawls. The airflow is there. It may simply be too tight to get into without breaking rock. Zach with the Walker county rescue squad up there is a good contact to go vertical caving in that area.
@@ActionAdventureTwins My utmost respect to you guys for your courage, and that is an understatement.
what fossils, of what animal ? i would be thrilled to find the fossil of an unkown animal species.
That path up the waterfall looks sick. Awesome find. Are you gonna go back??? I’d want to keep going! Keep it up!
We will definitely be back one day to find the end of the cave
This one really tested my claustrophobia...but those Holy Craps kept me going. Thanks for sharing your awesome adventures!!
Wow. That is friggin amazing!!! Reminds me of One Eyed Willies Cave on the movie The Goonies!! So cool!
