I had the pleasure of meeting Bret in San Francisco while doing work for her in her apartment years ago on Fillmore. She was the most down to earth and sat with me while I installed a new garbage disposal for her. She didn't come off as a showboat, awesome individual. Torry Castellano was also no longer able to play drums due to repetitive stress injuries and had already left the band prior to the last release. She went to Stanford and got a Law Degree. Brett also went back to school. I was heartbroken for them. Great catalog and one of the best All-Girl Rock bands ever. They are missed.
I've played drums since I was 7 and you're so right...there's just something about being part of a band and playing together which brings a joy I've really been able to capture in any other way. There's such a purity to it.

Just got done listening to an old copy of the band on Loveline back in 2000 or so. They were all great guests and lots of fun to listen to!
Used to listen to the Donna's quite often way back when. My older brother introduced me to them. Music still holds up today.
