I placed the 4-14x44 on my AR10. Love it love it. It was my first Primary Arms scope. Now I have 3 in my collection.
I like them to, I have 2 of PA red dots on fighting shotguns, a 4x14x40 on my AR 308, a 1-6xacss on my Barret REC 7 and a 3x Prizm on my fighting rifle. I'm soon to put another 3x Prizm on my 300blk 10.5 pistol build, I cant get over the quality for the price.

Hey dimitri i have the 1-6xacss for 7.62x39 can you tell me what round or what load the acss is based off of or a general bullet weight and velocity to go off of to make mine as accurate as i can
Nathan, look into an app called Strelok. The pro version is about 10 bucks. You put in the data for your load, and it will give you the yardages for your scope, as well of a picture of what you should see through the scope for the correct hold. Figures all the weather and elevation and angle dope too. They have the dope for the scope in this video, they will likely have your scope too, or will soon.
@1985usa They are mils, the tip top of the line is 1 mil, each dot is another with the 10 mil being right above the 1000 yd line.

Very good explanation of the reticle. You defined the individual pieces and clearly explained their purpose without a bunch of mumbo-jumbo. This practice tree approach is a great idea! Thank you. I have a 503G. While I certainly read the documentation and looked at UA-cams, I don't have access to a range that would allow me to practice shooting beyond 200". Your simulated approach is really perfect.

I have the Primary Arms 4-14x44 with ACSS for my LR308 and I love best reticles on the market. I like them so much I have the 1-6x24 for my AR-47 and 1-8x24 for my 18in AR. The reticles are true and everything will line at the distance. Great videos Kotaboy32.👍👍👍👍

Awesome video!! Just bought the Primary Arms Orion 4-14x44. This was very helpful in seeing how the retical works, so to speak. The Orion has measurements for deer and coyote in similar fashion.

This is an awesome description!!! I have a hard time determining unknown distances. The mean average height of a Whitetail Deer is ~36” and this will come in very helpful during deer season! Now to find the best scope for my setup! Great job Dimitri!!!

Just purchased one in 1x8 Plt with an American Defense mount to put on my new Wilson Combat SPR. Can't wait to get busy. Way more than I will likely ever need, but it is a lot of fun to shoot and learn all you can along the way.
Ordered their 4-14 for my 18” SPR/DMR in 223 WYLDE. Looking forward to mastering this system.

I’ve had the 4-14 308 DMR hud scope for about 4 years now. Got it on a trade. Always been in the safe cause I’ve never known how to use it. Now I have an idea. Thanks!
Great vid thx...I prefer the older version, still does all this one does but with a cleaner scope.
This reticle is a good one. The Horus is another great reticle that can quickly range. It was so expensive in the optics that made it available the regular guy could not afford it. PA has brought a great affordable system to every day shooters.
The Horus is a real good reticle.I learned to shoot with one.But it is really too busy for civilian use .The ACSS is easier to use for most people
Nice - the challenge I have is that when dialing elevation and using the chevron. Its is challenging to hold wind 800 to 1000 yards if its between the mil marks.

I think I decided to get back to shooting a bit too late. While being in the Army all we had was steel sights with a whole lot of missing at the beginning until I adjusted. 30 yrs later here I am with an itch of trying shooting an AR again, and with long distance in mind. Mil Shooting System? MOA? Foreign language to me. But will learn. Ordered this scope and was notified of shipment today so hopefully in 2 weeks I can take out an zero. Let the fun begin. Thanks for the video, seen a few of them you made on this scope.

Man, I like that reticle Something you said pricked my memory. When you pointed out the circles Something popped in my head, I seem to recall a Scope I used that had a series of graduated circles like this reticle but they were one on top of another and they were on the lower half of the reticle could have been shooting with my brother he was an SF guy. I’ve had 4 TBIs so my brain is a bit, well, more than a bit scrambled and my memory is Moocho Bado. Or as my wife says highly selective now. Thanks for what you do I really like your videos. Damn I hope you can read and make since of this a lot faster then I typed it.

I almost went with the apparent industry leader in Vortex with the Strike Eagle...but this reticle from PA especially in the latest M8 varient alone with the Japanese glass they use has me sold even at the price point of the PLX 1-8

Looking for a multi-purpose scope and I can see how that would work for medium and large game if you know the distance from shoulder to belly or practice with plates or silhouettes. Nice reticle.
I have the PA Platinum 1X8 on my SIG716 DMR rifle. The ACSS reticle is a bit different, but has similar ranging marks: 18" shoulder and 5'10" height marks. My only wish is that instead of a dot, it used a chevron. Gives more accuracy, doesn't cover the bullseye. Nice scope/rifle combo, albeit a tad heavy.
I just received the Platinum 1-8. You could chop a tree down with it....lol
I realize this is an old video, but I just now came across this scope at Primary Arms. I haven’t been able to find anywhere what the letters H. U. D. stand for. I appreciate you explaining the DMR designation on it. Can you or someone on here give me a HUD definition please?

When I found out the avg deer shoulder height is 31 to 40 inches I was stoked because I can range deer in the feild with my optic some mental math for 36 inches but I'm excited
