What do you think about importing one from Japan would you get a diesel and if so who in anchorage could work in it.
ARB is $$ but imo worth it. Keep the rust away and these will run forever. I was in AK a few weeks ago and was surprised to see all these older cars with no rust on them - do they not salt the roads in AK ? I mean I've never seen so many older Toyota's that were still on the road... most of them here are rusted beyond recognition. Was also shocked to see a bunch of OBS Ford's and Square bodies on the road... those again have mostly decayed back into the earth. Really loved it up there...outside of Anchorage i didn't get a sense of any of the pretentious attitudes, vanity or vapid personalities that you typically see in the lower 48. People seemed to dress more for function rather than style, the landscape and views were amazing.... we took a charter and caught some sockeye(reds i guess as they are called) just typing about it makes me miss it more.
