Today, after years of quilting, I finally experienced the glory of quilting clips. Life changing.

They really are! They are also great for clipping packets and even holding your hair back in a pinch 🤣

Thanks Amy, you have given me the confidence to finish a quilt top and quilt it for my great-niece - before she's too old for it! 🌈

This was great, thank you! I inherited my grandma’s quilting supplies so now I’m learning what to do with it lol

I’ve made jackets with thrifted quilts as well as a pair of pants, totes for shopping and pillow cases for my body pillow. I just got into quilting about 9 months ago and have made one full quilt so far and a few quilt toppers and made one quilt I made into a summer dress! It’s been fun, and good for gifts.

My walking foot broke and I couldn’t afford to replace it at the time and discovered that if I set my machine to almost the slowest it can go (not all machines can do this. My old one couldn’t) then I get just as good a result as when I had the walking foot. No puckers. But it’s incredibly slow.

That's fantastic to know. I've used my regular food and then attempted to hide the puckers in the binding but I'm a "good enough" kind of sewist 😅

Do you have a tutorial for making a plus size coat made out of a quilt? I have been wanting to make one for years.
