We had toilets like this at a German training camp we used.
Rows of back to back, vast wooden benches with holes in them, little, low wall cubicles, no doors and a huge trough underneath where a Tsunami of water and disinfectant gushed down every few minutes.
Those were great days and good times.

We had those in tented areas in the Army. They were called thunder boxes because if you farted while sitting there the echo sounded just like that !!!!

Get yerself a cup of tea, a beer, or a bottle of wine if you're up the graveyard. Maybe a plate of potatoes of the night, have a nice sit down, and a hearty laugh at one of Billy's tales.
Potatoes of the night such a rare nocturnal creature. Deliciously shy, averse to light and sudden movements. Truly a rare treat for the graveyard.
They cut off the best part! Where someone pranks all the men by making a little boat out of paper and setting it alight down the chute.
I've noticed many of the videos appear to be cut in some way.

What Billy is describing is similar to what the Romans army used nearly 2,000 years ago. Of course none of them spoke with a Glaswegian accent.
Even today in the modern office those cubicles are referred to by the blokes as Traps.
