I believe Purina's Beneful is still harmful to dogs, as my dog has many of the said symptoms.
My dog has been eating Beneful since birth he turns 14 soon Never had any health problems.. Keep your dog active and healthy with exercise and discipline and affection.. you,ll be fine .. Remember anybody could sue anybody at anytime for anything.. Make sure your dog is a healthy weight
My parents dog has been eating this since she was a puppy. She’s now 14 and the vet says she has the health of a 4 year old. There is no stopping that dog.
yeah well this lawsuit was dismissed so it doesn't surprise me your dog is fine.
I got this food recommended when the owners of the parents gave me the pup, father lived till 14 and mom still alive and well, my dog is now 7 and never had any issues. I'm just finding out about this, it is good to know it was even dismissed.

My dogs have eaten nothing but Purina since their puppy chow days and they are both fine (both 7 years old now). If you were to switch their food after years of the same one, THAT can cause many issues

@@brennns Until a month ago I fed all my dogs Purina. Either Beniful or Purina one. Three died at a young age. One lost hair and vet thought it was hypothyroid. She lost hair then died. My current dog was losing hair. Thought not much about it due to location. Purina One became to pricey. Switch dog food for half the price. Hair is growing back after less than one bag. Have reason to believe Purina killed my dogs. Never using them again.
@TheLittlered1961 I bet you never ever did a health genetic test on any of your dogs. They could had underline illness and food at nothing to do with it. Using the food is kinda of a cop out if they been eating it their whole lives.
Beneful is an honest brand. Read every ingredient. Purina makes healthy kibble. Also, a singular person shouldn't be speaking as a canine nutritionist, unless she is one.
I'm willing to wager that she sells "her" preferred brand of dog food through her dog daycare.
I switched to Beneful puppy beef, my puppy is gaining weight proportional for her size.
As soon as I bought this brand for my dog, he started pooping blood. This disgusting dog food product is clearly poison. Why is it still on the market...... like what the hell

I've been giving this food to my dogs for years. I never had problems with their health. Is either luck that nothing happened to my dogs, or these people don't know how to take good care of their dogs, and blame it on food.
That was cold. Am 60+ years old. Had dogs almost my whole life. Since the 60's they always got Purina. Since the 2000's my dogs have been dying at a relatively young age. Some maybe attributed to genetics. Last one was due to no known cause. She was losing hair. Thousands in tests. Current dog was losing hair. Switched dog food and hair is growing back. You judge the cause.
Purina is one of the few companies that follows wsava guidelines and does feeding trials. there's a reason this lawsuit was dismissed so if anyone is watching this video in 2022 and taking it seriously, please go do some research.
We recently got a bag of this for my dog. Gave him really dry skin that caused him to scratch his ear till he bleed and gave him terrible bathroom issues. Never had this issue with other dog foods.

Anybody can sue anybody for anything. Using the existence of a lawsuit as a guide to make choices is just ignorant and idiotic.
Just found this stuff out after my dog died a long time ago. I was thinking it was the dog food but the vet told me it wasn’t and acted like I was crazy. I switched food but it was too late. I spent thousands and my dog pooped out it’s own intestines at the vet and blamed it on gastrointestinal issues stating it was a fluke and nothing we could do.
I just bought my dog my 4 month old dog this food today I am def not taking chances and throwing it away
Do not feed your dog this food. It is 2024 and I am convinced this food killed one of my dogs and has given the other one kidney disease. I took them off of IAMS last year because of a drastic price increase. We had a dog many years ago that ate Beneful and seemed fine so I switched both dogs for about eight months. The older one, who had always been a picture of health and had a beautiful coat suddenly seemed less energetic, her coat was full and she could no longer get up on the bed. She was ten but again, had no issues until being on Beneful for a while-both dogs seemed less energetic so I switched them
back to IAMS. Not long after we lost our older dog to advanced kidney disease which presented no symptoms until it was too late. All of her problems started when I switched her food-I so regret doing that. Now we are finding out our younger dog who is seven, also may have kidney disease-more testing is in the works but I really believe this food made my dogs ill. I have never had a dog with kidney disease before. All of my dogs have lived very long lives until now. I know they say they changed their recipe for the better but if they replaced something bad in their older formula they may have changed other components of the food also. Just a warning about my personal experience with this food-do your research before trying it. I really think it harmed my dogs. Having two dogs of different ages develope kidney disease at the same time would be pretty unlikely,
especially given that their problems started just months after starting on this food.
Purina is disgusting. Ever since they were bought out by Nestle their pet food is pure garbage. Full of bugs, and low quality ingredients.
but after the DCM controversy two years ago we now realize that ingredients are just about marketing, Purina actually does feeding trials and is actually a better food to feed than all the boutique brands.

don't bother, the lawsuit was dismissed as there was no proof. dogs get sick all the time and people frequently blame the food cuz they can't think of anything else.
To choose quality dog foods, the following three category items once you find out in ingredients, simply AVOID:
1. Chemical preservatives, such as: Butylated, Hydroxytoluene and Propylene, Or BHT, BHA.
2. Fillers. Brown rice and Quinoa are ok, but No Corn, No Barley, No White rice, No Oat, No Soy, No wheat.
3. Any By-product meats
Three good things in ingredients to our dogs:
1. Organ meat, such as: Liver, Kidney and Heart
2. Omega-3
3. Prebiotic, such as: Flax, Pea flour, Carrot, Ginger
Always remember, dog foods need about 70% meat and 30% vegetable and fruit

The president of AAFCO (Association of American Feed Control Officials) recently admitted on camera that it is a commonly accepted practice for euthanized pets to be sent to rendering plants where their bodies are blended and cooked into a mixture known as "meat and bone meal" that is used in many dry pet foods.
Purina is the most commonly purchased low-cost brand of cat and dog food by low income pet owners who cannot afford to buy the more expensive high quality foods. It is also used in many rescues and shelters.
All of the following Purina dog foods contain meat and bone meal:
Purina Dog Chow, Alpo dry dog food, Purina Beneful, Purina Active Senior, Purina Fit & Trim, Purina Little Bites, Purina Healthy Morsels.
All of the following Purina cat foods contain meat and bone meal:
Purina Cat Chow, Friskies dry cat food.
Purina does not list the ingredients for its Deli-Cat and Kit & Kaboodle brand cat foods anywhere on the Internet.
Aside from the horror of your pet eating the processed remains of dead animals, there are more serious health risks. The phenobarbital used in euthanasia has been found to remain in significant amounts in meat processed from euthanized animals. Euthanized shelter pets are often sent to rendering plants with plastic flea collars and ID tags still attached, where they are shoved into the shredding machine and these chemicals and other items are processed into the resulting meat mixture that is used in pet food.
Purina can countersue for damages too for false claims.
They don’t, they offer a full payout for any vet bills , without ever asking for even a sample of said dog food, BUT only if the owner signs an NDA, and agrees to never be able to get more compensation should they ever actually be found liable for any dogs getting sick ever. It is still happening right now, all across the country. The reason the lawsuits are thrown out is BECAUSE purina refuses to get samples from anyone that filed complaints, and most pet owners throw it away or don’t know to get the food tested, and even the ones that do the ratio of tested (and confirmed to be tainted by a professional lab) is too low to the amount of customers that don’t complain.
Has people ever thought that maybe it's an inherited health condition from their dogs parents and not the food. Like humans can eat the same exact food as another but one does from a health condition but the other lives to be 90 ijs

Purina kills dogs! Last year A friend who fed Purina dog chow for years, got a new bag and his dogs all got deathly sick on it.
This year A friend was feeding it to a litter of pups, these pups were healthy, dewormed many times and vaccinated. He ran out of food, ran and got a new bag, fed the pups twice that night and all were sick the next morning. One died within 24 hours, and the others died shortly after. He gave the vet meds but it was to late.
Purina is owned by Nestle. When one friend called after his dogs went down, they were not surprised. They were not concerned. They told him to send in the reciepts and they reimbursed him.
That’s what they do to everyone. And never collect samples of the dog food bag that the dogs ate, and most owners don’t think to test it or throw it away immediately, which means the lawsuits won’t ever go anywhere because there isn’t enough data collected by owners of dead or sick dogs compared to what purina has of non tainted batches!!

If you are looking for an alternative to purina some better, more affordable dog foods are supreme source, Kirkland brand ( Costco food), black gold, fromm, nature’s logic and diamond naturals.
I feed my dog Blue and nothing cheaper then that you can also tell if your dog is eatting good dog food by it's shit if it's huge and breaks apart the dog's eatting garbage if it's small and Compact it's Get in his nutrition and you can still have a big dog taking smaller shits if the dog's eatting well I am sure a real person who understands what I am trying to say knows what I mean 🤷♂️🤷♂️
