Great video. I ordered an abs headliner too. I'm covering mine myself. I like your solution to the lack of tabs on the front. I'm stealing the idea lol. Thanks for sharing.
Great video! Very informative. I recently refurbished the interior of my 84 Camaro and looked and almost bought one of the ABS T-top headliner. In the interest of the budget, I decided to repair, reinforce and reupholster the original. Like you, I have owned about twelve third gen F-body cars, however, I am on the other side of the proverbial coin, as I have always gravitated toward the Camaro, IROC and Z28, but never owned a Firebird or T/A. Sadly, I have never had the opportunity to buy one with Crossfire injection, but hope to get one in the future. Great content! Keep'em coming.
I have one I bought from classic industries twenty years ago and have no problem with the material peeling but the fit was horrible. It is still in the car and looks 90% better than the one that was in there. I have lived in the desert for eleven years and still holding up
I would start with your minimum air adjustment (idle speed). There are two videos on my channel that detail balancing the TBs and setting the idle speed.
I’ve used 3M too. I never had any problems with the Permatex spray. I’ve done over two dozen headliners over the years with it. It holds just as good as the 3M and is almost half the price.

I need this peice fir my TA great vid 👌
how did you get the clips in the right spot on the headliner so it will fit
I addressed that in the video. Watch the whole video. It’s really not that long.

They’re definitely hit or miss. I still have my original headliner board that I might recover it one day.
My 83 TA (crossfire) has a low idle to the point where it stalls when I stop. I replaced both IACV with no luck. Please help 😭

I use 3m adhesive spray. It’s the only thing that has worked for me in AZ heat.

I guessed you were from PHX. Now... I’m guessing Chandler first. MAYBE Gilbert.
Nope. I live in north Glendale.
