I just started dealing with the throat burning and now I’m putting it all together! I have dealt with the phlegm in my throat and chronic cough for awhile. I didn’t know how it was all connected. Looking forward to your videos. I deal with anxiety and take meds for it. Just started last year. I always cough when I’m anxious. I can’t believe this is a piece of it too. 🤯 I’m so hopeful.
Fantastic, Julie. It can be so scary and debilitating, but you're on the right track. Keep me updated. I'm gonna start doing some little LPR hacks videos, soon. Maybe they'll help, too.👍
Eddie's YT content on LPR is some of the best on the matter across the entire internet from what I've found. Careful if your prescription is a benzodiazepine: because stopping long term use of those makes dealing with LPR seem quite easy. Similar to what PPIs do to your gut (make underlying problem worse), benzos do to your brain. And since much of LPR is driven by the brain/anxiety... Well you get the idea. Anyway, best wishes to you!
I have ended up in the ER from not feeling like I could swallow, throat pain, always feeling like I couldnt clear my throat and ended up with a horrible panic attack. They gave me steroids for the throat swelling & lidocaine for the pain. It helped for a minute. I see an ENT soon so hoping I get some answers
I’ve been using the techniques I’ve learned from these videos and just watching your videos actually makes me stress less about my LPR and I do actually notice that my symptoms tend to decrease. I’ve had anxiety my whole life and issues with my marriage and stressing about supporting my kids etc I think really brought on the LPR. On a side note on my endoscopy they did find bile in my stomach but that is just a form or reflux too which could be caused by stress as well.
Did you have dealed much with your throat? I mean like mucus running down or sth? My Symptoms seem to be really similar to yours except from the cough (i dont have it) and this annoying throat mucus especially after meals. Do you think there might be a more Stress related form of LPR and a Form which is more about food and gut problems? I have this annoying burping always after changing Position or eating or drinking... Feels like a nervous Thing of my gut because it can Never be to full so it has to let out pressure. I eat small amounts and slow and so on.. Cabt help but feeling so confused about LPR :(
Yeah, my throat bothered me a lot. Burping was an issue for a while. Imo, you've just got to teach yourself to let it go and not give into the fear and stress. Then it goes away.
My symptoms definitely “yoyo” mine is the tightness in upper stomach/occasional ear aches to burning chest up to below my ear and dysphasia(swallowing probs)
After a nasal endoscopy, I was diagnosed with LPR. However, my only issue issue was basically a sore throat on my left side that felt like a piece of glass stuck in there. When people say they have throat pain from LPR I sometimes wonder if they mean throat discomfort or flat out pain like what I have. When you felt the globulus in your throat did you have any pain in the throat? I also have an intense need to clear that side of the throat because it felt like it was coated with mucus. I found that throat clearing would make the irritation worse so I stopped it. Still waiting to see how this will resolve. I sometimes fear that there is something worse happening to me and that the doc missed something.
Weed flower is the only thing that calms me down and gives me relief. I'm so sure the vagus nerve is tied to lpr. It can't just be hiatal hernia or acid. Why does it lessen when not stressed? Benadryl at night helps too, again, calming effect. Mornings are hell for me. Laughing, crying too hard make it happen. Certain foods, mainly anything not room temp or warm.
That's interesting you say that about mornings, because my symptoms are worse when I get up, before eating or anything else! I'm assuming you experience something similar to me. i was wondering how you have been coping? have you been better?
I have been diagnosed with LPR, but my symptoms are very different from yours, and while i have definitely suffered from mental illness in the past, this started from be at a pretty calm and almost contented part of my life. Have you encountered people with very different symptoms?
@@Eddiestephenslpr sore throat. it started with a regular cold. but when i stopped feeling ill, physically, after 10 days or so, the hoarse voice remained, then voice loss. voice came back, but hoarseness and burning throat remained. burning then expanded to nose, lips, tongue. no coughing, wheezing, problems swallowing or breathing ever.
i should point out that i was a really athletic person, working out 5x a week. i try to keep it up, even though whenever i engage my core, i reflux. one thing that i should have clarified is that the tongue burning is not just bothersome, but painful. about an 8/10 on the pain scale (haven't tried painkillers yet)
Hi, Eddie im diagnosed with LPR , it all start 2 months back , when i started to notice that something is tingling in my throat, and after somedays i check my mouth and i saw that my uvula was swollen and it fell down , i asked my mother about it and she told me that it normal, but after sometime, i couldn't eat properly and felt like vomiting and as i am a passive smoker, i was worried about it to be something bigger and badder, i started to gargle with warm water and added a little salt in it but it was no help, after trying out all of this home remedies , i gained some confident and went to an ENT , i check my throat and told me that i have LPR,and gave me meds, but they are not helping , i had a painful chest pain yesterday night it went away by walking but that scared me and now I'm worried about it, and i cant sleep in nights it's like i always wake up at 3-4 am , and have all this anxiety , please help me Eddie ...

A few months back I was tested corona positive but I was asymptotic. While in isolation I drank a lot of orange juice and lemon water. At that time I felt a little uneasiness in my throat but it was not troublesome. After a month my daughter had fever and I was away and could not reach her because of lockdown. She was tested and it turned out that she was negative but those 2 days I was under extreme stress ans anxiety. It was then that I had a flare uo of the LPR symptoms. I am asthmatic since an early age and have been taking inhalers so initially I thought it was asthma attack. I increased my asthma doses and that helped but it was persistent. I got my PFT done and it was found that I had no problem with my asthma. I was told that it was because of acid reflux and I was prescribed PPIs. My symptoms are under control as long as I take the drugs. As soon as I discontinue the drugs it comes back, I am looking for a lasting solution.
That's amazing that your symptoms were controlled by the PPIs. For most LPR sufferers, they do nothing. I'm sure if you wean yourself off them, and work on stress, etc, you'll be able to recover.
Eddie, I know this sounds strange but did you ever have a red tongue.I mean most people's tongue'sare pink.My Dr. Took me off of sibgulair beci she thought that was making my tougue red.Sorry, I Know I have really strange questions

I personally never had extreme throat pain - just discomfort.

Now that you mention it, I've found that Benadryl helps.

Yes, I have.
What was your first symptom?

Did u had burning in ur throat & sore throat plus mucous as symptoms?

Will fasting help to reduce the symptoms?
Depends. I love fasting, but it is rather stressful for the body.
I could see it helping or hindering...
Probably worth giving it a try?
Shortness of breath is the worst and coughing like a madman😱
Me too 😢. I am suffering from shortness of breath everyday. It is indeed the worst among the symptoms.
