Let's talk about Urban concealment with a bag instead of on your person. This Video is a follow up to our previous "on Body" carry video and covers what we recommend carrying and some bag options if you decide to carry "off body"
Generally, people use this when they really need to blend in or are going into a more high risk area and want extra supplies.

Agreed; situational awareness will always be the most important
People very very often discount the value of medical training/knowledge. You will 9.5 times out of 10 need to use medical training over offensive/defensive firearm use in the field/day to day as a civilian (of course, location determining). Still, be prepared and well trained in both.
I backpack carry a 9mm PCC because of the way the world has gotten but I also conceal a handgun in the waistband. Take the bag if you want but now my hands are free and yours aren't. 😂

I started carrying a sling backpack (vitkos) with a PCC, a gas mask, a distraction device and medical pack. Plus things for my toddler. Yes situational awareness is priority on safety but somethings are out of my control. It may seem like overkill but it gives me some piece of mind.
Used to work with a guy that daily carried a .357 DEagle in his lunchbox. He wanted something that would land accurate and lethal fire at the 50-75 yard lines of sight he had from his work area to the main entrances. He also had a nub for an index finger and fired it with his middle leaving only the ring and pinky and his support hand to deal with recoil.
He was a cool guy. I miss working there.
Based. My buddy has 'trigger finger' and swears using his middle finger improved his split times.
For that Viktos sling bag, I recommend you put a short lanyard type piece on the zipper (maybe 3 inches or so. Enough to get a good grab on it). Then when you draw and sling the bag forward, you grab that little lanyard handle and open the zipper as it comes up across your body. Think like the Vertx sling bags, how they have that little handle for quick deployment.
They actually have a little handle on the top and bottom to help you grab it!!
I don't like talking about my style of carry because I like to keep it vewwy vewwy quiet. But here goes.
I'm fat. For that reason, carry on my person is confined to a small .380 in a pocket holster. But I live in Seattle like you, and I blend right in as a tech worker. What does a tech worker not leave in his car as he goes into Costco? His laptop bag. Mine is an old leather Dell bag that has an external pocket in the rear with one square of Velcro holding it closed. It functions as a discreet breakaway pocket that hides the bulge. I can easily fit my fullsize pistol and extra mag in there, using a DeSantis holster to guard the trigger.
I sling this thing over my shoulder almost anywhere, put it in a shopping cart, you name it. The few people who have said anything about my "purse" have gotten my standard joking reply, "I can't leave it in the car because it holds the nuclear launch codes." Everyone chuckles. and we all know that *of course* I can't leave my bag in the car because it's fucking Seattle and a criminal will be by momentarily to break into my car.
So in summary, backup gun on my person, fullsize in the bag if shit goes down in Trader Joe's. It works for my situation.

Finally left 253 myself for another state after getting a job lined up, worked EMS in Seattle until 2021. Not going back, and honestly couldn't afford to lol. Still have to rock a full setup with spare mag and extra medical when I go back, and always have some spray in hand in the metro. Couldn't pay me to be on 3rd Ave or North Aurora again

@@DeskPop honestly wouldn't off body anymore, a bag makes you a more attractive target. Would use ankle rig for ifak and used an enigma with mods to haul everything.

I have a retention style backpack that cant be pulled off of me unless you undo the clasps which gg trying to do that quickly, nor can it be accessed without a very fancy set of hardned carbide bolt cutters if you try to unzip it with the biometric pad lock on it and it's cut proof so good luck stabbing into it 😂 I keep my 8 inch 300 blk in there for the just in case scenario but i typically cc my 9mm and have a back up 380 in the event I misplace my gun or it suffers a major jam. Stay strapped or get clapped 👏🏻
I encourage you to buy a second one and cut at it, 95% of the “cut resistant” bags we’ve tested with absolutely just cut.
Definitely best practice is carry on your person; a bag that doesn’t tear off can get you easily tossed in the ground too!!

I deliver up in beacon hill, Columbia city and Georgetown. I used to deliver downtown, Sodo, and Queen Ann. I started carrying on me about 6 months after I started this new job. One of the owners of one of my stops got me into actually taking ccw seriously. I’ve been debating on wearing a fanny pack to carry a ifak and some earpros when shit hits the fan
Ear pro is underrated, some passive ears in a bag can go a long way if you’re in a scenario with awareness/time to throw it on

Yeah the only problem with this is carrying a bag in a urban or city area only makes you more of a target because people will want your bag or what's in it. Not only that it's a grapple point in which someone can catch you off guard by pulling on it and if they manage to get it from you, you just gave a criminal your weapon.

Unfortunately for me at least since I work in the medical field and I wear scrubs it physically impossible to on body conceal just because of no belt loops
You might look at some of the nicer belly bands on the market.
Constantine carry belt doesn’t require loops
Phlster Enigma is literally partially designed by someone who wears scrubs at work
I work at a hospital, also wear scrubs, +1 for hunter constantine belt

@@DeskPop I live in a town of 1400 people in central Utah. There are more guns than people in my town. There are also more sheep than people. This means everybody is wearing plaid or flannel and cargo pants and stuff all the time. So I just had to drop some friendly ribbing about the wardrobe, haha! I'm glad I live where I do. I don't open carry, but if I did, it wouldn't even draw that many stares.

how would you conceal carry in place sinking in tyranny and you need to conceal in a way is not obvious, even if delay a bit the draw. (this scenario, you would have 9mm Taurus G2c, the only option). better off body ?
If concealment with zero risk of someone thinking “they have a gun” is key then the VIKTOS bag is perfect for it.
