When I was younger all I wanted to do was go fast form checkpoint to checkpoint. Now that I'm older I like going slower and really taking in the sight's. The things you see in the Dead of Winter is absolutely Priceless!!
We start in temescaming and do a 2000 to 2600 mile loop saddle bag trip on our turbos. We did it every year until covid. We are heading back up this winter. Last time we even rode into New Brunswick. Got stuck there for a day because of a big snow storm. 3' in one night right on the ocean. It was pretty wild!
Located in SE Michigan, im telling the first thing that came across my mind when the border opened up unrestricted was Quebec! You guys read my mind with this vid guys!!!
Definitely a bucket list destination for me and my Canadian wife.
Dropped in Montpellier and road up through Devils mountain.. Breathtaking is the only way I can describe it… WHAT A BEAUTIFUL VIEW!!..
WoW, what an awesome episode - You covered the entire province of Québec and highlighted specific locations in all of the regions.
These types of episodes are much appreciated and introduce all of us, our American and European friends to our beautiful country and what it has to offer in the winter.
Un énorme Merci to all three of you for showcasing « La Belle Province ».
Glad you enjoyed it!
It is nice to ear you guys talking about our home trails. Thanks and keep up the great work. 👍
Bonjour STT from Quebec !!!! (lol) couldnt agree more .....(trails,food,accommodation and the people along those trails...wow
No question. Quebec is outstanding! Best riding all around!
As a québécois from abitibi-temiscamingue, man seeing fromage au vilage and chocolat martine bring lots of good memories since i grew up only 15 minute from there but now i moved to amos! Amazing video tanks guys for that video about my home province wich i love so much
Thank you so much!!
Merci ! And welcome to all that come and experience our outdoors play ground.
Merci SnowTrax TV for that awesome review of La belle Province.
Our pleasure!
So true. Merci beaucoup. Have a nice ride
I guess I’m riding the right places !
So do i 😎 🍻
I grew up on the Ontario side of the Temiskaming area of Quebec and it was great to see this video and all the spots we used to ride.
Perhaps you should check out the weather map b4 plugging the Gaspe. I know you were here last year w Extreme Chic Choc, but unfortunately, no snow yet this winter, sadly, I own an expedition and a gen 5 summit. Gave up and went out to buy a fat bike today! Dohhhhh.
bienvenue au quebec 🙂
I am in Mt valin as we speak . We need more snow but some trails were great others brutal from all the traffic volume . Beautiful area friendly people .
Awesome!
March and April are the best month for riding those Gaspe and Cote Nord trails.
You guys have great taste 👍I am from quebec yes we have great trails but you have to go ABITIBI- TEMISCAMINGUE trail are ridiculously fast 😁👍.By the way I from region of Outaouais
Super commentaire!!!
Very nice video. Time to freshen up the passport lol. Guess I have one year left.
So question? What is it like there right now. The whole northeast in US is all green again. Would be a good time to go rt now. Nothing here.
We're very light on snow in Ontario right now. Not sure how QC is looking...
@@snowtrax snowmobile clubs are opened in Northern Quebec La Cote-Nord ! Not the best but very ridable conditions ! The fed trail is behind my house !
weird Edmonton AB is COVERED in like 5 feet i feel like.
Just bent my handlebars not horrible not good. Thought I would come here. That stuff happens when snowmobiling.
You got to be careful cause you can get lost easily... A couple years ago people visiting from France drowned falling into a Lake in Lac St-Jean... Always stay on the trail !!
Experience helps or at least riding with experienced snowmobilers if you aren't familiar with the area.
@@snowtrax for sure !
Drowning i the most common way to die on a snowmobile. Since I got to fat to wear my Medium Snowmobile suit .. I ordered a new FTW Suit that has Insulation that floats.
I mount a hand held Garmin GPS on my sled .. plugged in to a Cigarette lighter jack
Great great content. Think we're leaning towards the Bas-Saint-Laurent region first as we're in Maine. Centre-Du-Quebec and Chaudiere-Appalaches are closer than where we go in Maine up north and they don't have enough snow as 1/7/23. Any suggestions on where to start for Mainers?
Awesome presentation! But no Gaspe Peninsula??
Great review! I am going to Quebec the first time this year! Can’t wait ❤Do you have a location, gps coordinates for the new unnamed bridge in the Laurentides region?
Awesome!! I don't but someone on here might be able to help you. Stay tuned...
@@snowtrax Is it the one that goes into Ottawa? I do talk about that one in a video last year as we thought the French River Bridge was the longest in the World and the Ottawa to Quebec one has beat that claim to fame?
Hey SnowTrax. I enjoy this kind of presentation. Do you have recommendations for tour outfitters in the Quebec City regions for first timers coming from the western US.? Would appreciate your thoughts!
Off the top of my head I don't but let us look into this.
@@snowtrax Much appreciated.
So when are you guys going to do a full episode of short track mountain sleds of all the brands in the 146 2 inch and up tracks both boosted and none boosted
That's a very specific request! Have a good shootout coming up soon. Stay tuned...
Are there speed limits on the trails?
Yes there are, 70,50 and 30 kph depending on trail
Personally I adjust my speed with how large trail is groomed. In some places you can ride 7 sled wide this is were I go faster than the limit. When you approach town slow down couple miles before, Police are always near town .
Nice trails but it doesnt touch BC riding conditions...
Whoa, whoa, WHOA....I'll agree that the Canadian trails are great but...they are for Canadians only! We spent many years Pre 2001 snowmobiling in Northern Ontario and Quebec and had a fantastic time each and every time but now US citizens need a passport and if you want to trailer your US sleds to Canada you need to COMPLETLY empty all the fluids and are subject to MAJOR scrunitny by Customs. Used to be you had sleds, customs waived you through. Not anymore. Me and my 3 genrations of snowmobiling family will stay in the US, Wisconsin, Michigan and NY.
I don't doubt that this was your experience, but I do not believe this is the common experience for most people crossing the border with sleds.
Iv been crossing the border into Canada with my sleds for 15 years and never once experienced that.
I live in Michigan USA have never been Vaxxxxed My guess is I can't enter Canada .. I let my passport Expire in 2021..
You can cross the border now no problem!
@@snowtrax I used to cross the Border 30 years ago @ Windsor Didn't even need a Passport..
I suppose I would have to renew my passport and buy Providence Trail Permits and get snowmobile Insurance which I have never had in Michigan ..
I also used to buy an Imperial Gallon of Gasoline for less than a US Gallon cost in Detroit .. Now gas is way higher in Canada to pay for your "FREE" Health care
Ah, but your money is worth like a buck forty in Monopoly dollars for every US single.
Don’t need to show a vac card as of September I believe, get your passport renewed
@@snowtrax That's True , I forgot to consider that. I skied Whistler BC once.. Flew for hours over pine trees. Very few lights
One of the big problems with Quebec riding, is in alot of the small towns you might go through, alot of the people are fairly ignorant and will treat English speaking people poorly. When you go around some of the bigger cities and more English speaking communities like in Gaspè where it's either French or English speaking and they hate each other, then it's a little different.
So is all of the signage in French?
I would look myself in the mirror when you talk about ignorance..it's the same in Ontario if you don't speak English
@RW I totally agree!!! I had absolutely ZERO issues In many parts of Quebec!!! Along the whole Saint Laurence Seaway to the most lower sections where our chalet is, Rapides des Joachim!!! I think if uou think the way this dude does, your gonna have these issues!!! I've learned, they care less of the quality of French you try to speak, just try, it's a hilarious ice breaker bahaha!!!
Quebec truly hold the heritage outta ANY PROVINCE!!! when I was younger, I always wondered why Quebec would wanna seperate from the rest of canada, now that I'm older, I completely understand why!!!
Born as a northern Ontario boy(chapleau), now live in rural southwestern ontario and as mentioned have a chalet in the mountains of Quebec... I fucking luv Quebec and I'm a hard core canadian!!!
You are entirely generalizing here. We've never been treated poorly when traveling to Quebec and find if we are respectful, the respect is returned.
@@snowtrax absolutely 😉
How you guys can casually rattle off those ridiculous region names is beyond me.
