Snakeoids....oh my Tremors reference all the way!
😄This was my first zombie game!
i cant find where the intro boss is at 😡 you fat meanie i only see the title screen
"No damage"
2:34
@Let6me6in6 that's not damage. That's knockback. His life bar doesn't go down.
This game was awesome. But man when any of the innocent neighbors died that scream could give you nightmares.
You are right.
How everyone else sees it: zombies ate my neighbors
How I see it: neighbors ate my zombies
My friend and I would play this game in his grandparents’ basement. The basement was furnished but not well let and barely any sunlight would get through. To be frank this game would scare the shit out of me because of its great haunting music and atmosphere with creature sounds and moans and when the neighbors died it would scare me. The most trippy and scariest part of it all was the title scream with its Night of the Living Dead omage and the cover to the game itself too.
Couldn’t agree with you more!!!
Yeah poor kids
There is no way in hell "Vlad Belmont" isn't a reference to Castlevania.
Konami definitely made both.
Konami published the game.
Thats what i was thinking too!
That's his name in the manual
...And a reference to the real Vlad tep'es Dracula.
Zombies, all bosses, no damage.
Me: NOPE! That can't be true.
I can't even get past the Spider Mastermind due to its ridiculous amount of health.
Such an insanely nostalgic game for me, I love it to bits. Word of warning for anyone thinking about playing it: the password system is the ultimate beginner's trap and a massive middle finger to anyone who wants to actually beat this game. When you use a password you start that level with 200 water pistol ammo and NOTHING ELSE. (Kinda like Doom) You cannot win with raw skill, you will NEED every single bit of the arsenal you build up through the course of the game. A perfectly reasonable and acceptable way to play is actually just emulate the game and drop a save state between each level. Trust me, this is more or less the only way to enjoy this game when first starting out.
5:27 Vlad *Belmont*
Simon and Richter: *you have become the very thing you've sworn to destroy!*
😱😱😱 how could this be possible!!!!????
This game is absolutely brutal!
Very good! Congratulations
I think Titanic Toddler might be the scariest boss in this game. Not sure why a big ass baby fumbling around at mach speed scares me so much, but it does.
So the baby and not the giant head that spits tongues and melts and breaks down as you do damage.
It's the erratic movement and size, like a Tarantula
As soon as I saw it, it was a combination of what the actual fuck and just stop it.
Prototype of Attack on Titan
Something that big moving that fast just feels...wrong.
I love this game. Never did any other SNES title frustrate me like this game did lol
laughs in battletoads🤣
Play Super Ghost and ghouls then.
@@swejugfewknlfEIU292 super ghouls and ghosts isn't super difficult. Or at least it has very little bullshit in it. The ghosts and Goblins port for the NES wasn't fair at all, it was hard because it had so much unavoidable BS.
But super ghouls and ghosts is very fair and beatable. You have infinite continues, and the whole game is about pattern memorisation. Once you learn how to get past every single part of every single level, you can get through the game without being hit even once. Even the best players can't do that with the NES ghosts and Goblins, it's unavoidable
So yeah super ghouls and ghosts more than any other game in the series is very very fair.
Have you played the new ghost and Goblins game that came our a few months ago? It's fantastic, and even looks beautiful too
One of the best games of all time. The soundtrack to this game is just amazing.
Well... maybe iconic and at least it is a really good game for the normal levels, cause bosses are just ridiculous strong with erratic moves. Literally the best way to beat the spider boss is being invincible and spam punches.
In my mind:
Beating ZAMN's bosses without taking damage: Difficult, but Possible
Beating ZAMN without ever losing a Neighbor: Stop drinking the UZI water
Seriously, when you get to the toddler level, there are neighbors in the boss's arena and they just get squished immediately.
It also doesn't help that the tourist neighbors will transform into neighbor seeking, moon jumping werewolves if you don't get to them in time.
The tourists also appear in pairs.
The game has a hard limit of around 6 monsters on screen at a time. Manipulating other monsters to follow you into an area with those tourists prevents them from transforming allowing them to be collected (or killed).
That game really brings back memories. I'd say a similar game should get made for next gen consoles.
there is a game called Monster Madness: Grave Danger, it is not a new generation console, it is from 2008 and it was released for PS3, it is the same style and gameplay and it still makes reference to Zombies ate my neighbors
@@brunoleonardo3783 Thanks, didn't know about it.
@@Shadowserg you're welcome and thank you friend for reminding me of my childhood playing this game
There was an original version called Monster Madness Battle For Sbuburbia on the 360 in 2007
*Suburbia

Funny, I never found a flamethrower in all my playthroughs. The fire extinguisher, yes. But never the thrower you used in the head fight
Man this one is a classic, tough as nails too for a kid in the 90's.
I still reckon this is some of the best music snes ever produced for a game. It's been stuck in my head for over 20 years XD
Not only did I think such a feat was impossible, but I didn't know you can attack the saucer.
Impressive as usual!
all these years I never knew!!!
This game really gave me nightmares when I was a kid. I just made it to Baby Toddler and I couldn't defeat him.
I still remember the sound of the balloon clown, really creepy.
This isn't easy at all! You have to finish the game in one run because the passwords are practically worthless.
It's like Doom, where the level select is always a pistol-start. He's a madman.
I have done the BLHR password saving Everybody and not taking damage
And if you think this is hard you ain't seen nothing check out my Elite ZAMN hack the last 4 levels are easy compared to it
Save state
whoisthisgit would know. (See Worst Levels Ever #16)
This game is like a good fun LSD trip that easily deceptively gets harder and harder to beat and that makes it a fun classic game.
There's an in game item for that. Question mark potion can make you trip out. You turn all green and wander around slowly at random like a junkie.
Ah this game.... This was the the game that scared the hell out of me when I was a kid(5)
The snake/sandworm boss gave me fits when I was a kid.
I had this game since it first came out and today was the first time I ever realised that the ufo could be destroyed 😅
What this game had bosses?!
Couldnt get past the second stage
Ah dude, this game, perfect for halloween. We got a Maniac Mansion and Day Of Tentacle remasters, imagine this game got a reboot like The Toejam and Earl one we got a couple years back.
😎👍
I would love to see a modern remake of ZAMN... although they'd probably make it look like a Stranger Things parody more than anything.
@@RokuroCarisu I mean, I would like to see them do a top-down Enter The Gungeon like twin stick shooter.
@@RokuroCarisu That would be amazing! ☺
Amazing stuff, man. Congrats on pulling this off and thanks for keeping this game alive!
I love how weird some of the bosses were, like a giant baby, graboids from Tremors, a giant spider that throws baby formula at you, and a giant head that spits tongues.
Remember seeing this game through the old-school game grumps let's play. Tried it myself, fun as hell.
Vlad Belmont
Which Spider Mastermind came first, this one or the one from Doom?
Guess we'll never know
zamn is from 93, it takes from horror movies (tarantula featuring a giant spider), not action games
Doom is from 1993 also
ZAMN- July 1993.
DOOM- December 1993.
So that title belongs to Zombies just about.
Dang, talk about brutality in the next level! I played a good number of relatively hard games from the SNES era, but this is one of the many games I have not played, and I can already feel how difficult the game is! Magnificently done once more, bud!! OwO👍
one of my all time favorite games for Snes! I never was able to beat it as a kid, but i did replay it when i was 19 and was able to beat it... i will say i never knew there was a flamethrower that you can use, as seen with the final boss. either way, this video is incredible how good of a player you are at this!!!
Rad! Thanks for this, i used to play this with my brother non stop back in the day
For anybody wondering, weirdly, the Snakeoids and the giant head form of Dr. Tongue are both very weak against dinnerplates. Vlad Belmont is very weak against the weed cutter. Stanley Decker is very weak against the cross weapon.
06:10 That rocketjump speedrunning tactic xD
Great gameplay of this epic game, some enemies are hard to avoid them but you make through your vídeo look so easy to do congrats 🤗👏👌
I just noticed that the frankensteins monster and dracula boss fight has Stanley Kubrick's the shining theme remixed!
Quite a bit late on this I know. First off, respect the work Shadowserg. Have enjoyed all the videos I've seen thus far.
Secondly, for those who are unaware; Snakeoids have one big weakness - clown decoys. The decoys are practically guaranteed to keep them above ground with their 'licking' attack, giving you plenty of time to unload with whatever weapons you have available. Not everyone's got Shadowserg's bazooka skills, after all. lol
Thirdly, weed wackers do a great job of cutting through the spider-mind's floor webs. Have not tested, but it may also prevent that section of floor from getting re-webbed. Just some interesting notes for folks.
Wow man I do no hits like this all the time but you do it way different than how I do congratulations on doing this it's really amazing and takes lots of skill! 👍
Thanks for upload
I'm noticing a theme 😂
Nice gameplay as always.
The only game I had to eventually pay people to play with me because God Damn It, I developed a feud with this game and I wanted it beat.
LucasArts?
...star wars?
Konami?
Wth.
I absolutely love this game!
As a kid I always thought that the giant spider were the final boss, because I have never managed to beat it. But no... The nightmare goes on. Well done!
Hey guys look it’s Jason Voorhees wielding a chainsaw on the thumbnail!
Attacked that final cheerleader with everything you had like it was her fault lol
Ah yes, the memories of me and my sister playing this together and never making it past the space ship.
This game would be great if it was on the switch, I would play this game all the time when I was coming back from my school. Plus, this charcters could be smash chartcers in my own opinion.
Zeke and Julie would make an awesome addition to Smash. They should be separate characters to make use of the wide variety of power ups in ZAMN.

"Somente as Lendas jogaram e lembram"
I was a little kid playing this and remember the 3rd level music with the chainsaw dudes chasing you would always scare the shit out of me especially when they were on you they always seemed to go faster and the sound of the chainsaw too man. Love this game.
Your bazooka using skills is really good bro. I can't do that 😂😂
Wow, you are pretty good at this game. I died on level 30 earlier when I was playing this game because I didn't save a victim in time.
Happy annniversary to this ghoulish game that I enjoy playing with my mother🎉
Ohhh, great memories
I Love this game!
Me saco el sombrero ese juego es una verdadera pesadilla
Wow this is so awesome and cool😎
This game is awesome just imagine if someone comes up with making a remake im totally sure is gonna be a big hit
That's some excellent bazooka precision.
This automatically gets added to every emulator I possess. Runs good on the Snes Mini plus 2 pads so bonus.
I love this game, i'm always try to make a great punctuation.
busy day full of chores, nah i'll watch someone play through this lol
what an awesome game, and soundtrack. man I miss my childhood, I could even hear my late best friend voice talking to me again or the way I used to sound like when I was a child. I'm 38yrs old and yeah adulting kinda sucks. is good I love it but nothing beats better than simple. Enjoy you're Youth kids.
i didn't even know it was possible to have such ammounts of ammo of the bazooka and pandoras box
The max of weapons is 999 the max of items is 99
No idea you could kill the spider.
Thought he was invincible!
As a kid i never could beat those snakeoids at 4:06 and now as a man i still can't either. I swore i wasn't going to look for tips but i had to before i turn into a 70y/o grandpa saying the same thing. This game is such a classic and i need to beat it once and for all 🤧
05:27 that intro sounds like the Salo final torture scene from Pasolini
😂😂😂dang it! I remembered how we play it during our childhood! Screaming a lot😅
At 4:45 did you really pull a spontaneous skelly key out of the bush (what like a 1/500 chance?) or is the key always there?
Only problem with this game is it's too damn long. Up to level 20 I feel like it stays really fresh and fun. Between 20 and 30 the interest/engagement starts to wane a bit and after level 30 you're just like "when tf is this gonna end".
I remember when I finally beat the game with my cousin we were like yh we're never playing this again cuz it starts to get a bit stale halfway through. First half is a masterpiece though don't get me wrong. So much creativity, the game just oozes everything positive you could imagine
This game used to give me nightmares as an 8 y.o.
I like this game!
Doctor Tongue's giving me some PTSD flashbacks of Smash TV and NARC...
Uff I love this
Cool
Me: *wastes 10-20 bazooka shots on one Snakeoid*
This Guy: *angles the shots so they hit multiple times, kills them in 3-4 shots*
1,000 IQ plays right here.
Que lindos recuerdos.. sega yo y mi hermano :)
Videos of Shadowserg (or maybe his friends) playing as female character is priceless. 🤩🤩🤩
4:45 ooh, you lucky man
The luck of finding a skull key in a dirt mound being the only dirt mound checked is astronomical. XD
I thought the same thing when I saw that. Odds of pulling a skeleton key from a chest is extremely unlikely. To the point where I’ve played through to snakeoids maybe 50 times and never got one. I usually die trying to kill them lol. I have a ton of experience levels 1-20 but not much 21+
Doctor Tongue’s head disturbed me out of all the bosses
this dude is cracked af
1:44
Mummy: Bonjour
That god damn rocket launcher is your baby in that game. Never fight the boss without it XD
Ngl, the giant baby freaked me out more than anything
i always game over when meet labirint woth chainsaw dude, ggwp
Great game
Humans surprise me when they beat games like these. I loved this game but always got stuck at different levels and had to turn it off. It was love but too hard to beat.
Niceee!!!
10:13 is that a flamethrower? How did you get that?
I take it doctor tongue was fun with all the shots fired afterwards.
Spider Mastermind finaly regrew fur. Remember when she was a brain with metal legs?
Just watched carnevil on here dang games love giant baby monsters not knocking it just bits recurring. Both games from different decades.
Que recuerdos me trae esto
Is there a way to play this game on an emulator and where find the rom of this game
I always found the last Boss disturbing :) like the one in midnight resistance
Need I mention how the Spider Mastermind looks like a tarantula?
Wait you can actually destroy the ufo?! Yowwie wowwie.
Vlad Belmont? Now where have I heard that before?
