Fun trip in the Sipsey! Lots of water and waterfalls- very refreshing! Really interesting to see how the water level went down when you were crossing to leave. 👌👍🌳🌳🌳

You were close to me!!! Sipsey is an amazingly gorgeous place & holds a special place in my heart!!! I hate that it rained so hard before you got there. The water is usually a beautiful milky blue color.

Also, what is your hammock setup you are using for this trip? I will be using something similar when I go. What kind of underqulit is that?

The waterfall that was called little ugly is actually deer skull and the one on the right is an unnamed fall. Little ugly falls is about a quarter mile above deer skull.

Jeremiah, your opinion on waterproof footwear versus regular footwear for trail hiking (not deep water crossings)? I currently use waterproof boots and I feel my feet get sweaty during long hikes (6mile+). I am considering switching footwear, but I do like not having to worry about getting feet wet when water runs across the trails.

Do you wear Darn Tough wool socks? I did a 90 mile trek last summer over 10 days with 3 pair. Never got sweaty or a singles blister

@@daveb931 sorry to hear. Unless your boots are not at all breathable, I can’t guess what else may help other than good liner socks, like Fox River.

I like non waterproof, but in the winter time I go with waterproof unless I'll be wading through deeper water that would go over the top of my shoe
