If you are using any of my Sipsey videos to identify places to go or routes to use, that’s GREAT!! Please use Leave No Trace principles while you are there. Take only pictures and leave only footprints. Let’s preserve the Sipsey Wilderness as a nearly pristine and beautiful gem for generations to come. 🦑
@@GoneFeralWithSquidly I live close to the Sipsey and my cousin from KY came down and a group of us used it as our base camp and went to various falls, shelters, and canyons from there. We parked on Cranal to access it. The KY group loved the area! A real gem that’s so close.
Our feet weren’t in too bad shape by the end of that day but when your feet are wet all day in winter, you stay chilled. Even when it warmed (sort of) during midday, we were often cold. Wait until you see our gear the next morning 😂🤣. Thanks for always commenting! 🦑
Thank you!! We are certainly lucky to have the Sipsey here in Alabama. This area is relatively clean and well taken care of. Now, if we can just keep it that way.
Enjoyed it, Squid! Not sure how I managed to watch episode 2 first, but oh well...it worked! LOL! "He's UA-cam royalty and I'm a pauper!" LOL! That is the way that I felt with all of you guys on the Bama Boys Gathering.
Thanks!! 1. In the Sipsey, the trails are almost completely unmarked. The only markings are at most trail junctions. 2. The trails are usually in decent condition for a Wilderness Area but there are always going to be blowdowns that haven’t been cleared and after heavy rains, the trail can get washed out when it dips down close to the water level. Feel free to email me at kbryant099@gmail.com and I can add more information or we can trade phone numbers. I’d be happy to help!! 🦑
@@MrAviator2006 after about mid November when the rain starts back, you will definitely run the risk of getting wet. My suggestion is to wear wool socks (your feet will stay reasonably warm even when wet) and take a designated pair of socks to sleep in.

Awesome video! I also love the Sipsey Wilderness. From one UA-cam pauper to another! -- Joe
Hahaha. That wilderness is my happy place.
Thanks for the great video.
You bet!! It was a great trip. 🦑
“He’s UA-cam royalty. I’m a pauper” made me chuckle 😂
Lol 🦑
One of my favorite spots to camp in the Sipsey is just above Eagle Falls on Eagle Creek. Enjoyed the video!
Yeah, that’s an awesome site but I’ve never camped there. I think that would be a great place for a small group. 🦑
@@GoneFeralWithSquidly you’re exactly right. There were six of us and there was plenty of room to really spread out. Great fire ring too.
Agreed. Now you have thinking that’s a future destination 😂

Those were some wonderful waterfalls! I bet yalls feet look like hamburger by the end of the day, thanks to all those water crossings!

Thank you! 🦑
@@GoneFeralWithSquidly no problem. We really enjoy making outdoor content also
@@NickandRachel yeah, I saw that! 😀
I would love this hike!! The water is so clear and crisp looking. Great video
Thank you. I promise you’d love this hike if you can get over all the crossings. 🦑
@@GoneFeralWithSquidly Key word....If :)
Awesome trip my friend! Couldn’t have been more fun. Let’s go again! Great video. You are a true ambassador for the Sipsey. Crow✌️
We will definitely do this again. Thank you for your kind words!! I had a great time, one of the best trips ever. 🦑
Can’t wait to float in April
While we were on this trip, we talked about floating Thompson Creek and Sipsey Fork. There are a lot of obstacles to portage around. 🦑
Yea I’d like to do that’s one We put in at Borden creek
Bravo ! Easy to watch, listen to, & visualize from trips I’ve done there. Great job....
Enjoyed it, JBH
Thanks buddy!! 🦑
Man, I wish the water was that clean in my neck of the woods! Great video!!

Absolutely beautiful out there. Really hoping to get out that way this year.
Crow is such a great guy. Cool video 👍👍
He certainly is. Look forward to you visiting!! 🦑

Were there any trout in those waters?
There are periodically. 🦑
@@GoneFeralWithSquidly thank you! I'm going to try hiking it this fall
@@gregjr63 I highly recommend it. If you need help with a route, email me at kbryant099@gmail.com
Great video-but have 2 questions:
1. Was the trail well marked?
2. Condition of trail?
Thanks,
Paul.

What month was this?
This was mid to late January.
@@GoneFeralWithSquidly thanks. Looking for a winter trip with my son late Dec. No problems with your feet and boots getting wet?
