Management light on due to misfire on cylinder 1
To fix the problem change all four spark plugs and coil pack. Once thats done plug diagnostic tool EOBD to reset the EML.

Having a similar issue, changed all the spark plugs and coil pack light was still on. Car gradually started hesitating. Yesterday put back the old coil pack and it runs abit better but still not happy with the light
I have a 2001 Vauxhall Corsa Ute (Opel in South Africa) and my car does exactly the same stuff as shown in the video: twerking engine, the smell of fuel, loss of power and seriously hesitant. Hope the coil pack will fix it
Didn't need a diagnostic machine for my 2001 plate corsa to tell me my sensor O2 had gone. There is a video showing you how to diagnose and it works 😊
Urgently need help, My car 2004 corsa only 31k miles, if i top up the blue stuff (which is on the left by driver side, will it be the right way to go... ? Heard spark plugs dont need changing until after 50k miles. i am not aggressive with my car, just put my foot down a little bit.

My other halfs Meriva 1.4 naturally aspirated has a misfire on cylinder 4 on my OBD reader. After idling on the drive for a few minutes the traction control light comes on. Any idea/ solutions?
Thanks, Taj. I'm going to check out a car tomorrow, which has an eml amber light. I'm hoping it has nothing to do with the headgasket as I know it is common with this make. But with only 40k+ miles I can't help but want to go check it out. I know nothing about cars and trying to understand as quick as I can.
Hi Taj, I have a Vauxhall Corsa 2010 and my engine warning light has come on. When I rev it's fine until i take my foot off the accelerator and then it's sluggish for the revs coming back to zero. Everything else seems okay. I've not long ago had a service and an MOT with 2 new spark plugs so could my issue be the same as this or something different?
Why did you replace 2 spark plugs? Usually when you rev or drive and engine shakes that would coil pack, injectors or plugs but in your case when you don’t accelerate 🤔 I think it could be throttle body but best if you get the car diagnosed again and ask them for the codes?

I had the exact same problem on my corsa a few days ago, got the spark plugs replaced and also a new coil pack but the engine light came back on a day later and turned off again today as I was driving it. Could there be a reason for this?

Suspect engine sensors and or CAT. Cataclean I think to start with.
I have same 11 plate 1.2 corsa engine light on. Code comes up inefficiency on cat. Do I have to replace it

How much would this cost to fix? This is exactly what is happening to mine. That tap like keeps coming on and the engine is sputtering when I put my foot on the accelerator.
I thought mine was Cylinder head Gasket, gives a bit of hope to my pocket £ thanks

Was the car misfiring before you replaced the coil and plugs?
@@TajMotorMedics Yeah for sure. It was running ropey and struggled to maintain revs.
@@martinrobertson8752 if it’s good now after replacing plugs and coil, then the light just needs resetting. You can cheat it but I don’t recommend it, disconnect the battery for a min and reconnect it the light should turn off and if it’s still on then get it diagnosed by your local garage. Thanks 🙏🏽

Bought a car from garage and he used same device as you, I had the same warning light and he's got it of with the device and saying it was an old fault?

Hi, have you replaced it with new coil pack?? And also replaced the spark plugs?? Usually if coil pack is a good make then it should last you a while.. Bosch/Delphi coil pack are usually really good and NGK spark plugs..
My 2011 corsa is on its 4th coil pack. Very common on these cars. I have been told that moisture gets in and corrodes the contacts. My car is parked in a damp place with little sun. Delphi coil packs last the longest. Easy job do it myself and the plugs now.
Hi. So I just had my Timing chain replaced and the oil filter. Since then it's been 2days and the Light shown in this video flickers and I loose performance when accelerating.
Could this be because they have damaged it during the service or leaked oil into the catalytic converter.
Interesting, same lite, same missing studder almost like a dropped cylinder on my 2002 Holden astra “AUS”. Tells me it’s the emissions sensor, can’t fig mine out
I’ve spoken to my head mechanic and he said usually 4 things that would cause the engine to shake! 1- plugs 2- coil pack 3- injectors and 4- which we have encountered recently and that’s compression on one of the cylinders so you would need to do a compression test. Emission sensor wouldn’t cause the car to judder unless the cat is blocked so would I suggest you check the following. Thank you 🙏

Hello I had the same problem on my Vauxhall Corsa 1.2 it is very sluggish and it idals below the normal limit almost like it's about to cut out. Replaced the spark plugs it worked back to normal for 3 days then it went back sluggish went to the garage and they replaced the coil pack and the spark plugs drove down the road still the same and the engine light has not come off what do you think it is many thanks
If it's 09 to 13 plate then check the ecu? Common fault
Same prob, had coil plugs fuel pump whole heap of things done while I could, lite still on, any amount of rpm over about 3000 it’s like a “limp home mode” on 3cyl, then found out that the particular dash lite is a “emissions lite” the little sensor that plugs screws into the exhaust header rite infront of radiator *for me... soon as did that lite went out and all good again, runs as used to..
Hi this is exactly what my vauxhall corsa 1.2 sxi has done today but recently its been sluggish on excelleration and not driving right, I dont get paid until the 15th but still have to get to work will my car be OK pls? Plus how much would I be expecting to pay to get her sorted pls? ComING from a woman who knows nothing about cars 🤷♀️😒

Hi Salaam Naheed sorry for the late reply but if it’s a misfire then it should roughly cost £130 for everything. If you remove the top engine cover, you can then see the coil pack which should have the part number on it so search it on google and you’ll have options. If you got local car parts supplier give them the registration and ask for coil pack and spark plugs. Misfire on Vauxhall models are quite common so parts should always be available. Thanks 🙏🏽

It dont start properly and when I opened the bonnet I felt my engine looked very low.

@@naheedakhter3412 Hi Naheed first of all Eid Mubarak and 2nd with regards to engine being drop I wouldn’t worry because usually the Corsa engine do slightly tilt to one side but if you’re concerned take it to your local garage and ask them to check the engine mounts! With regards to starting could be few things I.e dirt in fuel filter, weak battery or (spark plugs which I assume when you had a misfire they must’vereplaced them) Thanks 😊 🙏🏽

Hi I have a corsa sxi 2003. My battery is fine all lights and radio and Heater work I put my key in the ignition but when I turn over nothing happens there's no click or anything. Anyone recommend anything or advice ??
Hi you can try push start your car and if it starts then you need a starter motor.

I don’t know! Maybe it’s not reading the car. You might need to take it to your local garage and ask them to plug the diagnostic to see what the fault is on your car. Thanks

I replaced the ignition coil on my Astra and it is fine BUT the engine management light is still on. How do I reset it ?
Hi it needs to be plugged in to reset the light so you would need diagnostic tool! If you could take it to your local garage or you can buy diagnostic tool on eBay.
Or disconnect the battery for 30mins, but make sure you have the radio code if it's a vx one

Malcolm Pritchard sane prob, I’ve done coil and plugs fuel pump etc still on, however my manual tells me that specific lite is a emissions thing, or service needed
just done my Corsa D engine management light due to misfire on cylinder 1. Changed coil pack and erased the code with the U480 diagnostics tool from ebay at £9.95 all running fine no engine management warning light on.

If you got the same issue and the engine is misfiring then I would recommend you replace the plugs and coil.

Hi, I am having similar problem with my Vauxhall Corsa Sxi 13 plate. Engine light is on - car is shaky and sluggish. Sometimes the engine light flashes whilst I am driving it as well. The fans/heating also aren't working, they only work when I put it on number 4. Any ideas?
Hi with regards to heating fan you need to replace the blower resister which are usually between £60 to £120 and it’s a common fault on Vauxhall so dealers would have it in stock and with the misfire it needs to be diagnosed.

Im having same issue at to moment went to Vauxhall the other day get a diognostic test done. they've said it's all fine. Car didn't fail But engine light is came back today again. It goes and come back there must be a reason but They can't find anything to fix. Don't know What it could be? So annoying

It could just be an intermittent fault so I wouldn’t worry about it for now but when the light comes back on take it to your local garage..

If the engine is running fine with no misfire then it might just be something minor but I would suggest you get it checked.

I have done the diagnostics and I had the same problem with my corsa, I replaced the coil pack but the car continues to vibrate and has the engine light on

Same problem on my 1.6 astra turbo and it turned out to be a faulty injector... car idled rough and was very sluggish engine used to shake as well... changed the fuel rail and injectors and all was fine

Ayres just checked the code and it’s Manifold absolute pressure (MAP) sensor/barometric pressure (BARO) sensor - range/performance problem
