Corsa D Reading/Clearing fault codes

We are going to read and clear fault codes stored on the cars computer. The fault light is the engine management also a we will go through the specs of the Corsa D - class on a 08 plate

Does this get rid of the fault or does it just get rid of the light?

For the purpose of this video it would be just the light, if it does come back on then there would be an underlying problem. Also if water makes it way onto the wiring and plug in the diagnostic, you might get a long list of faults but nothing wrong just reset instead
