Hey Hussey! I got a Blackstone last week and have really loved it so far. I have been on You Tube looking for more ideas. Your videos are the best! Keep the good groceries coming.
Shout out from Vidalia, GA. Best onions around! Love your cooks. I told my wife last week that I wanted to do this cook on the Blackstone. Love ya buddy. Keep up the great work.
Dude! I cooked this sausage and cabbage tonight for supper, and MAN, was it some good eats!!! Very simple dish, but very tasty! Thank you for sharing this.
Made bacon fried cabbage with onions yesterday on my BlackStone.. neighbors came over and ended up having an impromptu block party.. One suggestion, we need more Maggie!!!!! Love you Brother. Stay awesome.
You mentioned bacon grease. This recipe is awesome. I do a pack of bacon, take up the bacon to be added back near the end and cook my cabbage in the bacon grease. Good, Good stuff. Thanks.
Glad. To see you back on the Blackstone. Love this dish idea! A must try for me. Demonstration was great to see. Wondering where I can get the “big dogs”. Good to see ya 👋

Wow, Matt! That looks so amazing. I'm gonna do this one for sure. Was just thinkin about grilled cabbage steaks and you did it much better! Thank you buddy !
I do cabbage and bacon a lot. With a head of cabbage 1 large yellow onion and about a pound of bacon fried while slowly adding mustard over and over. Yet to do it on my new blackstone tho
Looks Great, I always add Bacon to mine along with everything else you added and I add some Green Onions also, Try it and😁 see.👀 Now I'm going to make some, you make me Hungry...........Hussey !
I make this quite a bit, the only difference is I cook some bacon first and use that grease to cook the cabbage in, and around the time the sausage is ready to mix with the cabbage I crumble up the bacon and add it in as well. My daughter who "hates" cabbage always goes back for seconds :) lol
I make the same stuff either on the stove top or in a slow cooker, but always comes out mushy, albeit the taste is still okay. I'll try the flat top, that looked awesome.
Another outstanding video. I hated cabbage as a teenager. If I came home and my mother was fixing it I would turn around and go get a burger. Now I love it just show’s own your taste changes. As always be safe my friend. Try cubing up a small apple and mix it in on the grill pretty good. One day I’m going to drive around your town till I smell something good cooking and drop in.
I do the same thing.... except the vinegar. I use Soy Sauce Light. Then we eat it over Japanese white rice. Also try bacon and cabbage, Killer. This is our weekday quick dinner.

sometimes i 'll stew cabbage and sausage and put some"slap ya mama" seasoning in it..as well as when i make a pot of pintos..good stuff..have you ever tried it?..it would probably go good on fried cabbage too.
Hussey... This cook looks so good especially at 02:10 in the morning. I'm wondering if this is a North Carolina thing. My wife of 47 years is originally from Fayetteville, NC. She used to make this all the time but she would use bacon in place of the sausage in a cast-iron skillet. But now I think I need to "Give It A Try" as Todd Toven says on my BS griddle. Maggie says she would have eaten a few pieces of that sausage.
Some bacon would go nice too. I do like to use bacon grease for oil, but didn't have it with me. I think it's a southern thang with the cabbage. Not 100% sure.
Hey Hussey, I was in Myrtle Beach a few years ago and on the way we stopped at a place and they had a Fishermans plater, I don't remember what the exact name of it was, but it had jut bits and pieces of everything from calamari to oyster, clams, etc...It was a very cool dish, have you done anything like that on the Blackstone or at all?
Interesting. Sounds like the fish restaurant I used to work at. Ours was called a seafood platter. Would be neat if that was the restaurant I worked at!
