Absolutely FANTASTIC and easy looking tutorial on setting up a node. Ive never actually used a VM, or set one up; but you definitely made it look simple enough...nice work and looking forward to seeing more content from you, new sub 😊
these are the videos I like. Instructional videos are very helpful for us that aren't as cpu savvy as you. Need links in descriptions to help find the downloads you demonstrate. Good video..thks. I was using 1.1.8 and no blocks, maybe bridge version 1.2.2 will be more successful.
Great video, followed your steps and was up and running in no time but unfortunately had a power out wattage and now both my asic are failing to connect to the node, any idea why this is so
Great Video @GeekOfAllTrades !! Thanks! I am running my iceriver KS0 ultras on it but when I put the same stratum on Goldshell KAbox Pro it wont recognise and give errors in ks_bridge. Any info on that? Thanks.
it's not very resource heavy, I would say 2cpu and 4gb ram at a min, add more ram if you are multitasking on the VM too, but storage is key. at least 1TB allocated to the VM is recommended, so you dont run out of room as the blockchain grows.
I finally pulled the trigger on setting up a brand new mini pc to run a node and solo mine my Bitmain KS3. Latest KDX version humming right along with 100% sync. My ks bridge is also running right along fine. My miner WILL NOT connect to it. I have the proper IP address in my bridge YAML as well as my miner stratum address. I have also went as far as port forwarding 5555 on a second router just to try and narrow all that out. All the videos and tutorials I have found are Ice River. Does anyone have any insight on this setup or a tutorial you can link me too? TIA for anyone that might be able to help.
I wouldn't mind seeing a tutorial on setting one of these up on a Raspberry Pi. My RPi-5 is probably 5x more powerful with ridiculously better RAM/CPU/Storage then my actual PC, its so old it still has a 3-1/2' floppy drive on it 😅😢😪😒

I just clicked to watch, checked my SOLO and just hit a block. w00t. Just 2 Ultras. 1.5days. not bad.
SICKKKKKKKKKKKKKKK
Great video and information. I"m definitely going to try this. I'd be interested in more content along these lines.
Great video, thank you - setup a node and for us in South Africa, I am sure this is going to assist significantly
Great video GOAT! I've been meaning to try this for a while

Great Video !!!
We demand fpga solo node videos
Thank you
Do you have to use the KDX wallet or can I just mine to my existing wallet?
@@bobsingle45 you can mine to any wallet, it's put into the worker name in the miner setup page
@@GeekOfAllTrades ok that's what I was thinking, thanks for the clarification!
Geek need help setting up a proxmox from ya sometime

Thanks.
I do not have a KAbox to test that on, not sure about that one, sorry.
Hi can you say what is minimum or should i have requirement for this node. CPU and RAM ? THX

Is this go node or rust node?
Also can you straight mine to Tangem Wallet?
@@alvydasjokubauskas2587 it's a go node and yes you can mine direct to tangem

as this moment ~138h in and still no luck , reeeeeee....
No nothing here liked this. It erred up the geek in me. Can you use Virtual Box?
@@geraldringe4439 yep, same process in virtual box for the node, just a different process to create the underlying VM in virtual box
FTX cap lol.
Not worth it. One block is worth $15.
