Hello Superior, full of funny teacher!!! As Bulgarian for me is easier to say. ..Ich gehe an den Strand heute or ....Ich gehe heute an den Strand..The verb is in the second position too, but is this possible in German ???

When I was a teenager and took mandatory German classes in gymnasium I hated it but after 10 years german started to amaze me and I am constantly being amazed by how great the language structure is and how friendly and encouraging German people are (in terms of teaching you/encouraging you to learn). The thing with native English speakers is that they take it for granted that everybody in the universe is obliged to learn English, which is not true. And they usually don’t correct you kindly, instead rub your face in it. But all the German people I met were always so kind and enthusiastic about my effort for learning German. I hope to be proficient in German in a couple of years and type such texts in German too. Thanks to all kind and encouraging German people like Anja. We German learners love you.
ANJA You're such an amazing person ! not just a good german teacher . I am an exchange student in Germany , i am from İstanbul,Turkey . I like watching your videos and i like learning German by enjoying ! DANKESCHÖN ANJA !
Davi Metal if you think French is more difficult than German than you must be living in another planet is like saying Spanish is more difficult than Portugese
One thing I wish German instruction would have more of: practice with the formal "you." It seems to me that foreigners will generally have more occasions calling for siezen rather than dutzen, oder?
Thank you so much Anja for making your contents free and also still make these videos on youtube, very quality ones! I can't express how much I appreciate what you do!
A little addition to Fehler #2: If you are in Switzerland, just be aware that we usually say „Ich habe heiss“ or „Er hat kalt“ instead of „Mir ist heiss“ or „Ihm ist kalt“. So we use „haben“ instead of „sein“ (that‘s probably influenced by French where they use „avoir“ (to have) as well).
I started studying German 5 years ago, when I started high school and now that I’ll be going to university I’m sad that I had to choose not to study it anymore because I could only choose it as a second language and it’s not among the possible choices as a third language. Es war so schön, Deutsch zu lernen❤️
Danke sehr Anja. You are the best German teacher. I learned A1 level German 2 years ago and never got a chance to use it so I forgot most of it but with your videos I am getting it back. :) i wish if there was a way to learn German face to face in Germany with you.
Ich bin Amerikaner und ich spreche schlecht deutsch weil ich eine Tomate bin. Meine Ente hat ein Flugzeug aber trotzdem fährt sie jeden Tag zum Walmart. Ich bin komisch 😅
"Seid und seit" as well as, and more importantly "Das und dass" is total blurr to a lot of Germans. Thus I really admire any foreigner who gets that right.
I am from India. & learning germem. I have watched many channels but I will truly say that this is a best channel & you are a best teacher. It really help me to understand accent & pronunciation of German language.😊👍🏻👍🏻
"this teacher is amazing and really fun to watch.. think I just fell in love with Anja..😁😘🤗😍what a great way to learn how to speak German"..warm greetings to you from Puerto Rico"...and yes it's really hot out here too"!!!😁😁😂😉
Yes, Dativ means through certain ways a thing is influenced by something else. Das Video macht mir Spaß is same as "The video makes fun (to me)" but is seems weird in English. I think there is no accurate corresponding grammar in English
Mark Steve In Old English, mē was the dative case of the first person singular pronoun. I like to separate grammar from usage. I consider “to me” to be the correct grammatical structure in Modern English to represent the concept of “mir” in “mir ist kalt,” but we simply don’t say it the way. The reason is that “to me it is cold” makes perfect sense, so no one would be confused about your meaning, but people would wonder why you said it that way unless you were trying distinguish your opinion of the weather from the opinions of the others in your group. Context and usage are in my opinion the most difficult parts of other languages to master.
she missed a thing at the last topic (seit) Edit: Colloquial language thing in northern germany. you can use „seit“ in a past form. if you say „Ich lerne deutsch seit ein paar Jahren“, it means that you have been learning german for a few years, AND you‘re still learning it. If you‘re using it in a past form „Ich habe deutsch seit ein paar Jahren gelernt“ it means that you have learned german for a few years, but aren’t learning it anymore. therefore „seit“ in present tense is past + still going. and „seit“ in a past form is past till a specific point of time. another example; „Ich habe dieses Handy seit einem Jahr“ „I have this phone for a year now“ „Ich hatte dieses Handy seit einem Jahr“ „I had this phone for a year (but dont have it anymore)“
Well, you don't say "ich habe deutsch seit ein paar Jahren gelernt", but "ich habe deutsch für ein paar Jahre gelernt." That means I've learned english for a few years
I guess you caught it the wrong way. When you wanna use "seit" in the past, you use the word "für" instead of "seit". That means in a sentence like Ich habe Deutschstunden *für* ein Jahr belegt. You dont use "seit". It's like in english. The translation would be I took some german lessons *for* a year. So in the past, you use the same word "for"/"für".
oh wow. interesting. must be a colloquial language thing then. I‘m a native german (Hamburg), and literally everyone is using „seit“ in past and present tense here. thats a lil embarrassing haha 😅
To be honest you are my type of teachers, everything, the way you talk, your body language, i duno .. but i get and understand what you say easily and i memorize it .... like a piece of cake ! Magic !
The verb is present but the perfect aspect connotates completeness and the participle is in the past, do it's just easier to say past tense and not confuse people

Yeah u can use "da" as a ''damit" but u can also use "Da" as a "Weil". Example ,,Ich brauche keine hilfe, da/weil ich es gut kann" - English: ,,I don't need help, because i can do it good" I'm from germany and wrote my analysis sometimes with "da" as a "weil". another example;

„Ich hatte dieses Handy seit einem Jahr“
„I had this phone for a year (but dont have it anymore)“

Well, you don't say "ich habe deutsch seit ein paar Jahren gelernt", but "ich habe deutsch für ein paar Jahre gelernt." That means I've learned english for a few years

"Da" actually means "DaMIT" in this example ("Da(mit) hast Du Recht") - with this, in this you're right.
It could also mean darüber, right? You're right about that!
Yeah u can use "da" as a ''damit" but u can also use "Da" as a "Weil". Example
,,Ich brauche keine hilfe, da/weil ich es gut kann" - English: ,,I don't need help, because i can do it good"
I'm from germany and wrote my analysis sometimes with "da" as a "weil". Not because i have to, rather i think it's boring if i only wrote "weil" for a argument.
