it’s just improvisation and jazz. If u want to improvise start with something small then build it up. Use the blue scale to help u make it sound jazzy?
This guy needs only two octaves to lay down a tasty jazz tidbit. Now I know what I've been doing wrong a these years: trying to use the other five octaves. 😄
Jazz makes me want to go to bed under a very thick blanket in an air conditioned room specifically on a cold but very fun night in the month of December.
This actually sounds pretty good. I’m not often on for modern jazz since I listen to big band on the daily. But if you made an actual song out of this I’d definitely add it to one of my playlists for listening to music.

For drums don't forget to add a very quiet open bass drum on ever quarter note, and some light snare jabs, mostly singles but add a 2 not triplet inside the ride hits. Less is more with the snare!

The musical equivalent of "get good"
First things first, you need to know how to play the lick in every key.
Basic essential.
Musical equivalent of "draw the rest of the fucking owl"
Technically more like
1: get good at this
2: become proficient in this
3: obtain mastery of this
4: win
You just said get good, in 3 different ways
musical equivalent of "add some details"
if you played a wrong note, just play it again
Voilà JAZZ
No no there are no wrong notes
@@semvandongen1671 I agree. Wrong notes isn't a jazz concept.

lmao, people referring to 40s-60s Jazz as modern feels weird.
This is very very standard, tried and true jazz. Not really anything modern about it.
