My 2023 was not a good year either. My husband of 38yrs passed away after getting sepsis in Sept and i finished off the year by getting covid and rsv and the flu while travelling to my hometown. God got me thru it and I too will go on just not as before.
I think your biggest inspiration for me is that you practice self care. For almost 2 years I have been the ONLY caretaker for a loved one. I sense burnout coming if i don't start doing more for myself.

I may or may not have crawled under my desk to have a cry yesterday. I didn’t want to upset my Mom or Brother whom I care for. Then I went and got a brow wax and haircut today and I feel much better! Self care really is IMPORTANT 😊

I'm 75 and it's hard to cook to for 1 . I now cook for 4 and freeze 2 or 3 meals. It's so much better and I don't waste food . Thank you for your knowledge and sharing things with us. 🙏🙏👏🤗💜

I've got to tell my story.One day around Christmas. I m at my mom and dads.I have a family of 8,not counting the rest.So I decided to make banana nut bread, but instead of 2 loafs,loads, made cupcakes instead.First I ,10 times the recipe,got it wrote down.As I was measuring the stuff because everyone decided to visit me in the kitchen,I accidentally doubled it.Not having pans,I had to do all cupcakes. So starting at 3.oo,I finally finished at 6.oo the next morning. 3.OO in the afternoon that is .I told everyone, no one,no one is aloud to talk to me till I'm done measuring. Out,out,out.

I ran out of freezer room. I freeze dried several huge batches of sausage gravy and they reconstituted beautifully. No need to defrost. Simmer desired amount in hot water and ready to eat before the biscuits are done. -Natalie

When I wrap sandwiches for the freezer, I use wax deli sheets from Sam’s, or any warehouse/restaurant supply. I absolutely hate working with plastic wrap. It’s also easy to microwave in, and then use for a “plate.” (Because I also don’t like a bunch of dishes in the morning 😅)

I'm one of 7, and I used to love the days when she would make Italian sandwiches and fill the vegetable drawer with them. We'd get home from school and enjoy those! They weren't fancy. Just made on hamburger buns then wrapped individually in saran.
Wow! I hope people buy this, wish I would have had this when I was younger and had kids at home. Hope others purchase it and use the recipes. I did do freezer meals but had no recipes. Saves a lot during the month of time, when you work or are super busy. Looking good girl. Have missed your videos. Peace!
lost my husband last month and am living with my daughter is taking a lot to get used to living here. used to make some videos to teach my grandsons to cook they asked me but daughter says I can't do i any more. loved doing it

I can't begin to express how thrilled I was to see your video arrive today. You and your precious family have been on my heart and in my prayers over these last several weeks. You look absolutely stunning and it's wonderful to see you doing what you love and that beautiful smile. It makes my heart glad. I live in Australia and sausage gravy made with milk is unheard of. We make gravy with beef stock and flavourings. What you make we would call a short cut white sauce. I imagine though that maybe the sausage has flavouring that flavours the milk sauce. Cannot say it inspires me to try it. I was not aware, until I started watching you tube, how different our diets are here in Aus. We would never use bacon fat as we keep as much fat out of our diet as possible. Must admit it is tasty but not good for us. Apple sauce is another thing that we only use as a condiment for pork. We make apple pies and cakes but usually with chunky apple very rarely with sauce. I will give it a try though as it looks good. We have such beautiful fruit and vegetables here in Australia although meat is very expensive here. Most of our meet is exported as the prices overseas in Asia are high for the farmers. Our Beef Fillet can be as high as $100A per kilo and at it's lowest it is in mince or ground meat at $12 a kilo. A kilo being 2.2lb. Pork is our most affordable protein alongside chicken at the lowest price of $12 per kilo. Love watching you do big batches, they can easily be adapted for the Australian tastes, good thing that variety is the spice of life and not everyone likes the same thing.
You should try the biscuits and gravy. It's delicious and not meant to be like a regular gravy with broth. It's a totally different breakfast food and is largely flavored by the breakfast sausage and the black pepper. It's a favorite of our kids here. And everytime I've seen videos of people from other countries trying it they seem to love it too.
