    Tip for the ginger;
    I buy a small ginger piece wash it and dry it snd put it in the freezer. Whole. Every time I need to use it I just use a grater ( the long one we use for grating lemon zest!)
    A grate what I need and put it back.
    Been doing that for years!

    As always I am in awe of how clever you are with creating healthy, tasty meals and snacks. I'm definitely trying the "egg bites". We are an old-er couple who tries to get our mornings started with simple food that will give us energy but not too heavy. You are a wealth of knowledge that I can't wait to watch as soon as your videos come out! Kisses to those beautiful girls of yours from a Grammy type lady!!❤🥰

      There are warnings about eating ginger and garlic together, as they are blood-thinning substances. Caution should be taken when consuming them for people who take aspirin or women during the menstrual cycle.

    Adaline, I just found your channel. My family just moved to a rural area. My husband luckily works from home and we homestead. We are new to all of this and its so nice to watch your channel for ideas! Your pantry by the way is AMAZING. My husband is more the canner than me but I'm trying to learn and "get into it!"
    Also, I seriously think I have IBS. Im not officially diagnosed but I find that if I eat gluten/dairy, I get terrible gas (sorry to be tmi), bloating, heartburn. Seeing that you don't eat gluten and dairy is really inspirational to me. Your recipes are so helpful too. These are my eating goals! Anyway, I'm trying to make the transition away from dairy/gluten and the junk. I feel more hopeful after seeing this.
    Lastly, its overwhelming with having 5 kids (I think I might be expecting again, will see! lol) I feel like I'm in this never ending bad habit cycle of eating what they eat and dealing with the digestive issues (consequences.) I can't do that anymore. So I'm trying to break the habits. Sorry to spill my guts out on here everyone. Digestion issues are no fun and you just feel trapped. You feel like you can't eat anything and its so discouraging. I just feel hopeful after watching this! :)
    Anyway, I'll be done writing this book now. Good luck with the growth of your channel! I look forward to seeing your other recipes! :)

    No warm water to defrost! I know you said people do it differently but no warm water. Bacteria can do a number in warm water and cold water actually defrosts faster. My husbands a head chef and we have a family of chefs here in New England. It’s not safe I work in market research and it’s the same strict protocol. I know my comment may seem demanding but please don’t do it.

    Just a little idea I have been doing for years and it works, after grinding you garlic/ginger/basil and any other herbs, place them in a ziplock(vacuum bag for long storage)and lay them flat, all air out and store in freezer, flat and whenever you need it, smack a piece on the counter and you are good to go!!!!!

    You don't really need the water when doing garlic. It does make them more paste-like.
