    We used to play this at the fair too! Makes me wonder if it was the same travelling fair. I remember we would play Wolf, RoboCop, bubble bobble & Star Wars. I don't remember what other machines they had.

      I can't remember most of the other games. One with 4 steering wheels sticks out in my mind. One wheel per side, looking down at the screen. Top down view. But yes the same fair(s) would tour the country I believe. Wow we may have played on the exact same op wolf.

    There's no computer audio that is anything like an Amiga, and that stereo separation is something to behold! I was always disappointed with PC audio after owning an Amiga. Thanks for a new video fella. Appreciated!

    Favourite game in the arcades as a kid(along with Outrun, Chase HQ, and Shinobi) and loved it on the Amiga, although it was much harder as the low frame rate meant your shots fail to register. The sequel Operation Thunderbolt was a much better conversion. Great vid though. 😁

    Operation Wolf was maybe the first arcade game I knew by name and knew I loved. I'd play the master system port at home before I had an amiga, and that sega port might be my favourite. Its so tough but so fun.

    This was one of the first games i saw running on an amiga after hybris. I simply couldn't believe how good the ocean logo looked lol. And then when that sound kicked in i was blown away. Has stuck with me forever. I took on extra paper rounds so i could buy an amiga. It was true next gen. Especially coming from a spectrum 48k+ which had just impressed me at the time with rtype. But amiga was next level.

    Cool. I definitely played it in the arcade. But I never knew or heard that it was available on the Amiga. Certainly not in my pirate circle, or ever saw it for sale on the shelves of the game shops I visited at the time. Nice. I will have to search for an emulated version of this until my old Amiga 500 gets recapped before I can use it again, fingers crossed.

    • @005AGIMA
      @005AGIMA  4 місяці тому

      Out of interest, what's wrong with your A500? They seldom "need" recapping unlike the A600 and A1200, but nothing wrong with doing it as a preventative. The PSU on the other hand is a good job to test before using, or just buy a modern one.

    It feels a little like the game is just running too fast, i dont remember the arcade version throwing 15 enemies onscreen at once and expecting you to live. Do you not think it's misleading to put Atari ST screenshots on an Amiga game when people are going to get it home and be disappointed with the washed out Amiga colours?
    Joking aside the reason for this is because at that point there were much more Atari ST machines out there than Amiga, of course that would change!
