Hi friends, thank you so much for 100K :) What is your favorite pantry meal right now? Stay safe and be well!
RainbowPlantLife will you be making a video on how you edit with Lightroom?
Could you perhaps to a video on different ways to make vegan "meatballs"? We use meatballs in a variety of Iranian dishes, using different sauces to cook them in, and I've been trying to come up with a good vegan alternative to use.
I actually made a video recently showing myself making red lentils and then pasta! Clearly my pantry isn't as stocked as yours 😉
Congratulations!! Love your videos!
My favorite pantry meal so far has been red lentil curry and rice. I might change my mind after trying these recipes.
Aside from making accessible recipes that don't require lots of crazy rare and expensive ingredients, you're just so adorable! I lost it at the tomato crushing dance.
Also, thanks for the tip on how to chop onions! I always struggle with that.
Aww thank you Setareh! You are so sweet. So glad you enjoyed the recipes (and the tomato crushing dance haha). Hope onion chopping will be smooth sailing from here on out :)
@@xRaramuri Aww that is the NICEST. thank you thank you!
Use a slap chop for onions and veggies
I love how she is so normal and funny. She is not so stressed about perfection, she is just a blast!!!
I love all the bits of humor and personality shining through! The squishy tomato part at 10:35 was ADORABLE!
Aww I'm glad you do. Haha they really were squishy lol. Kinda fun to play with your food as an adult :)
The only problem is...which recipe do I make first??? They all look so good!
Haha that’s a good problem to have. Start with whatever you’ve got in your pantry right now :)
Totally agree. I want to eat all of them. Love your channel. Thanks
I feel the same way. I’m starting with the first recipe she made and working my way through all of them. Pasta all week. Anyone else ?
I am definitely starting with the creamy pasta but think we'll end up trying all three very soon :)
😁
After going vegan three years ago I have been lazy and use a lot of meat replacement products, I decided this year to cut that by 80% and your channel is helping me so much, thank you :-)
That's so fabulous to hear. So glad my recipes are helping to inspire you get back into cooking!
@@RainbowPlantLife Same for me! Usually, I try to crumble Beyond Meat patties (which are slightly better because they are sourced from pea protein and not soy isolates like brands like Gradein which is nothing nutritionally like regular store-bought soy) but you have inspired me to try to buy more whole-sourced products and branch out. I love spice as someone growing up from Middle Eastern/Dominican dishes, and your recipes always bring the heat! Thanks for your amazing recipes!
Hi guys.. So I've toyed with plant based for the last 3 or 4 years.. But in lockdown 3 in the South East of the uk have decided to go full plant based as need to loose 30 lbs and want to take my health more seriously as I'm 45 this year.. So not getting any younger...
This is bar far the best plant based bolognese I've ever cooked!! Soo delicious!
Looking forward to cooking alot of your recipes as i now have the time.. And newyear 2021 motivation... Love this channel.. Only joined 3 days ago!! Soo good.. And chilled and funny... Love it!
My Tipp is to also look at the ethical side. Watch Dominion. It's not easy but so worth it. You will find eating a plant based diet after this do much easier.
Just made the smoky pasta. So so soooo good! It tastes like a Cajun Alfredo pasta. I added some kale and blistered chickpeas. Omg omg
Omg ok this exciting I’m looking for recipes to replace my faves as a meat eater so I’m excited.
@@ladiepink Yeah definitely recommend this one. I was very surprised. Good luck!
Could like this a billion times. Way too many others put so many ingredients i can’t get or use methods that are way hard to get! Love this. Thank you for making easy and accessible vegan meals!
I love making simple dishes especially times like this when many ingredients are not handy. I hope you enjoyed these recipes!
Tonight I made the Creamy Pantry Pasta for dinner!!! Added some red bell pepper, kale, and tempeh, and some liquid smoke because I didn't have smoked paprika. Hands down one of the most delicious vegan pasta recipes I've ever had!! And the ingredients list is just so simple and easy. This is going to definitely be a repeat during these times, the ultimate comfort food!!!
Hi Emma, thank you for sharing your feedback and so happy to hear it was one of the most delicious pasta recipes :) I love your addition of kale and tempeh!
Another comment from me 👋🏽 but this time I’m back to share my appreciation for your bolognese recipe!
I have enjoyed this more than I have ever enjoyed a vegan bolognese before. I’ve had this over pasta, on the side to some mashed potato and veggies (a slightly odd combo but so yummy) and I even used it in a lasagne 😍
I am just so thankful for the simplicity of your recipes because although they do not contain 700 ingredients, like other recipes, they don’t lack in flavour whatsoever!
Last night my youngest brother turned down dinner made by my mum (which was a meat dish) in exchange for the lasagne and he said it was the best one I’ve ever made.
I shall recommend your recipes to everyone and they shall remain permanently in my life. Thank you again ☺️
Hi Nelly! Aww I appreciate your feedback so much! So glad you've been enjoying the bolognese in so many different ways. And that's so nice to hear you are loving my recipes and sharing them. Thank you so much for your kind words!
Not cutting out the bloopers makes your videos so much better. I feel like it makes the recipes even more achievable as I can relate more :D Also, I absolutely adore those little sciency bits you throw in here! What's not to love about the combination of cooking learning?
Anyways, LOVED the video! I hope you're doing great in spite of all the craziness!
Aww thank you Margaret! I'm so happy you enjoyed the silly bits and the science! I love teaching and being silly, so I think it's the best of both worlds :) I am doing good, thank you for asking. Hope you are staying healthy and safe!
I‘m so glad I found your channel, because good vegan food is the only way to convince others. Its the ultimate argument. 🤩
That red lentil pasta recipe smackss! Your recipes never fail in this kitchen 😭❤😍
Aww I appreciate that feedback, makes me so happy!
I'm not a vegan but came across your website and totally hooked!
I've tried a few of your recipes (all delicious) and can't stop watching your videos.
I feel so healthy too after 3 weeks of changing my diet, sharing with my friends too.
You have truly inspired me!
Never thought of lentil & walnut bolognese sounds great !
I’m a new vegan and the onion cutting hack just blew my mind.
As an ex chef I nearly fainted watching her chop towards her fingers lol
I've tried many lentil bolognese recipes and they never look this hearty or thick, so I'm definitely going to give this recipe a try! And probably the other two after that haha. They all look delicious!
Happy to hear that Sarah! Yes, this one is super rich and thick! my nonvegan partner can't get enough of it1
I can totally attest for the deliciousness of the Creamy and smoky pasta. Although I totally forgot to add the smoked paprika( oops), the result is phenomenal! It’s so creamy and so flavorful. I also added a handful of mushrooms slices, and I cooked them as I’ve seen in a mushroom recipe also cooked by you, which added extra umami flavor. I’m currently eating it now, making mhmm sounds! Bravo for this recipe. It’s a keeper no question!
I made the Red Lentil Bolognese last night! OMG its so delicious!!! Thank you! I used my dry goods vitamix to chop the walnuts in seconds.
I recently became vegan (also from watching documentaries I might add), and since I am French I really love my cheeses and was kind of bummed by not being able to eat cheese. But the 2nd recipe really blew me away! It had a very rich cheesy flavor and texture. Thank you for the share 🙏🏻😊
Oh yay! I'm so happy you loved the creamy pantry pasta! I just posted a recipe for mushroom stroganoff that has a similar flavor profile if you're interested :)
I tried the spaghetti bolognese and it is immaculate for a vegan recipe. I'm so picky about my food and its flavours but this one was so similar to a real spaghetti bolognese that it truly satisfied my craving. Thank you!
Can’t wait to try this. My wife and I decided to eat more vegan meals weekly. We’ve used meat in every single dinner for as long as I can remember. Day 3 of vegan and feeling better
Just made the first dish with ingredients I had on hand. 🤤 It’s now a forever dish. Thank you.
Aww yay that's the best feedback :) So happy to hear it!
I hit subscribe when you struggled to say quick/cook because this is the realness and humour I need right now. Thank you for these lovely recipes.
Aww hehe thank you! i'm glad you found the humor to be comforting :) Hope you enjoy these recipes!
One of my favorite cooks! She always makes hearty vegan meals.
Thank you Nisha. I cooked your vegan bolognaise tonight and it was really yummy. I thought I might miss having cheese but I didn't at all. Even my husband who although vegetarian is a vegan sceptic really enjoyed it.
I make your Red Lentil Bolognese every single week and my family loves it. I even took the bolognese sauce and substituted it for meat sauce in a lasagna recipe and brought it to my family Christmas and everyone LOVED it (even the meat eaters!), they were so impressed it didn't have any meat!! Your channel has changed my life and has made eating plant based so much more easy.
Never heard of shimmering pan but love it! From now on- my pan too will be shimmering! :)
Nisha I’m not quite sure how you do it - but the word GENUIS comes to mind!!!!! I just made the pantry pasta and OMG - how on earth is there THAT much flavour in such a simple dish - love love love and new weekly staple - thank you!!!! Xx
Aww I love that! Thank you for the wonderful feedback :) So happy you loved the recipe. It is so simple yet so satisfying so I'm glad you agree!
Im really glad I saw an article linking me directly to your channel! Love your personality! Thanks for the tips!
Okay, we must have been connected here. I just came back from the grocery store and bought some fresh pasta and tortellini and low and behold you have 3 pasta recipes for me to try. Thank you Nisha. They all look so wonderful! Love your playfulness in the kitchen. You are just so you!
Yay, that means you can start making these :) Thank you Karen! So happy you're enjoying my videos!
All 3 pasta recipes look yummy, especially the lentil bolognese because it looks so rich and hearty. Great video!
I made the second one! It turned out amazing :) Thank you for the recipe ❤️
Honestly! so entertaining whilst learning good wholesome food recipes, your a natural....
love peace and happiness from Scotland
Best cooking program ever!!
We had the bolognese last night and it's honestly one of my favourite recipes!! So good!
Yay!! So happy I found you! 💜 Can’t wait to try these recipes!!!
you make cooking so easy and simple, you are so informative and slow for a beginner like me! thank you!
Thank you, can't wait to try these!
I just made your red lentil Bolognese for the first time and really liked it!! And it made so much, I had enough for the whole week! Will def be making it again, thank you!!🙏
I love your solution for creamy sauces!! I've been looking for something easy that tastes and feels right, and I love the combo of quick roux, oat milk/coco cream and the tahini! Lifesaver!!
Thank you so much for sharing your knowledge of cooking vegan food and providing delicious recipes to make. I made this for my partner's lunch today. He said it was the most delicious pasta meals he'd had in a long time! I also really appreciated the link to the recipe and print function. x
Made the bolognese for the first months ago and it's become a regular meal in our home. My 9yr old son asks for all the time. It's one of his favorite meals. I'm back to find more delicious recipes. I've now subscribed. Thank you so much.
❤️❤️
I just last night made a pasta sauce using red lentils. Who knew I was making a Bolognese? I added fresh basil to mine, and sauteed onions, garlic, carrot, celery, green bell pepper and mushrooms. Served it over Farfalle pasta with a mixed green salad.
You guys are so fun (and funny). These look delish!
Love your show!
These little bloopers are adorable.
I have all of these ingredients and would never have come up with the recipes you made. Thanks for another great video. I will be eating pasta all week
That’s the best feedback, makes me feel very useful haha. Happy cooking and enjoy all the pasta :)
These are the best tutorials because of your quirkiness! You might actually teach me how to cook and I appreciate you!
Just made the Bolognese and OH MY GOD. It's heavenly!! Thank you!!!! ❤️
You are so adorable and your videos are so delightful to watch! I have learned so much by watching you cook for the past couple weeks. I made the Bolognese last weekend and it is INCREDIBLE!! I couldn’t wait for lunch time every day at work. Thank you Nisha!
I also made your White Bean and Kale soup too! Delicious!!
I made the bolognese yesterday and it's absolutely delicious. 10/10!
I am not a vegan but do try to incorporate plant based meals to give my body a break from processed and animal based products from time to time. The Creamy Vegan Pasta is absolutely delicious! I added mushrooms in mine. I would honestly make this with salmon cubes as well.
This looks absolutely delicious. I will definitely try those recipes out.
I can't wait to make these, I have all the ingredients for all 3 in my kitchen right now yaaay - thank you for making such great content Nisha 💚🌱
Great tip to add the walnuts! Definitely doing that next Bolognese I make
They all look great! Thanks for the tips.
Yes, I can relate to not wanting to create more dishes, even if it makes food prep harder. Last night I made stir-fry and considered using a mandolin slicer to chop my veggies, but I opted to take 4x as long to finely chop everything and not have to wash the mandolin slicer.
I'm glad I'm not the only one that struggles through these calculations lol.
my kids loved it.
I just don't think you could get any more cute! I LOVE that you keep your "bloopers" in! It's a pleasure to watch you!! Just ordered your book!!
Congrats on the 100K, that’s fantastic! I’m hoping to get there someday but have a long way to go! Love the recipes! I’m 8 weeks in (vegan) and still learning a lot about the lifestyle. Love all the new recipes like these! Thanks so much!
thanks so much Chris! Congratulations on your new vegan journey! I’m so glad you enjoy my recipes :)
I made the first recipe, it is SO GOOD!!! So brilliant to use lentils to replace the meat. It’s perfect!! The texture, the size. I absolutely loved it. Looking forward to trying the next recipe.
Hi Barbara, I'm so glad you loved the bolognese recipe! I love the texture too :)
All 3 of these sound great and look so delicious. I love cooking vegan pasta dishes.
These ALL look so good!! Yummo!! 🤤
I made the lentil bologanese tonight after watching this video yesterday. I’ve been eating a vegan plant based diet for 8 years. This is fabulous! Love the flavor and the “meaty” texture of the red lentils. Can’t wait to try the others! Thanks so much!
Oh yummy...oh thank you!!! Greatly appreciate your awesome recipes!!!
In the first minute and 36 seconds I’ve learned more cooking skills than I have in about 5 years 🤯🤯 you go girl!
Your my new favorite vegan channel and your a brown girl! Making different stuff with a interesting flavor palette! Thank you!
You explain everything very well. Thank you ❤️
Great videos, just ordered your cookbook. Can’t wait to try some of the lentil recipes.
Thank you so much for these recipes. I can't wait to try them :)
You make the creamiest and comforting pasta recipes Nisha! They all look so good, I don't even know which to make first
🤤The cooking tips are so helpful too!
Aww thank you Helen! I am all about the comfort food, as you know haha. I'm glad the cooking tips were helpful!
honestly love your channel so much
Delicious recipe. I will try.
You are adorably funny. So happy I found you and your yummy recipes! Just came back from an essential grocery shopping trip. My vegan son is excited to try your dishes and so am I.
I'd love to see how you make your own vegetable broth !! Loved the video !
Nisha, I can see why you gave up your “day career”, your talents (& humour) definitely are appreciated by UA-cam followers than people in a stuffy office 😄 Your accents going from American to Italian & a little bit of English was hilarious 🤣 Thank you once again for these delicious recipes. Stay safe & gidday from Australia mate 😆
Aww haha you're so funny Tracey :) My australian accent could use some work - I usually start out good but end up sounding british. Thanks for the love and kind words!
Yes, but what about those law school student loans! That's what kept me away from persuaing my passion after professional school!
I love all your little tips and tricks! so helpful!!
I'm so glad you find the tips and tricks helpful :) I love getting into teaching mode haha.
❤️ the Bolognese it is definitely going to be my go to sauce recipe, it looks delicious 🤤 and I appreciate the tips and explanations you give.
All I do is smile while watching you cook! You are amazing!
Aw Janice! That’s so nice to hear 🥰
Im so glad you came across my recommendations! I love your recipes and you're funny. Thanks for everything💜
That's so nice to hear. I'm glad you like my recipes and videos. Thank you!
Made this the other day, and all I can say is WOW👌 so so good, I'm a new enough to eating vegan and I'm thrilled I found this channel, make eating vegan so easy and tasty!
I'm going to have to try this because I enjoy cooking and trying new things it doesn't hurt once in awhile
Looks so good! I also love the various accents you fall into as you talk. You made me laugh while learning.
Your recipes are consistently good thank you
I appreciate that! Your name also cracks me up 😂
I just made the 10-ingredient creamy vegan pantry pasta on a cold, rainy April 12th, 2021 day in northish Ontario Canada and it was to die for!
Just made the creamy pasta. Delicious!
i tried the second recipe today and it exceeded my expectations! i didn’t have any nutritional yeast at the moment but the sauce ended up tasting so cheesy and delicious! i doubled the recipe to store in the fridge :)) thank you for the amazing recipes!! 🌿❤️
Very good recipies. Thanks💜
I prepared the creamy pasta and it was sooooo good i could eat the whole skillet❤❤❤ thank you!
I made the creamy pasta. It’s delicious!!! Thank you for sharing these delicious recipes. 🥰😋
Nisha, you are my favorite food blogger! Your cooking style fits me perfectly and you've given me a lot of inspiration.
Aww Janelle! That's so nice of you to say :) Thank you so much. So happy I can give you some inspiration!
your hair looks so beautiful in this video!!
I have a similar recipie and usually add some frozen peas to the sauce right at the end, they thaw up really quickly and give it an extra level of freshness.
looking forward to trying this version!
Best way I've ever seen to chop an onion. Seriously, thank you!
I put a spin on your creamy pasta recipe and made it my version of a pancit bihon, a celebratory filipino noodle dish. I added shredded carrots and spinach, with the traditional bihon noodles, and used your sauce recipe! I also traded in the oat milk for almond milk, which did not deduce the creaminess! Thank you for sharing! It was delicious :)
Oh I love your spin on it with the Filipino inspiration. Thanks for sharing :)
Thank you so much I needed this!! I ended up making the 2nd one but modifying it to what I had and it was delicious thank you so much :) I added celery and carrot to the onion/garlic, also some spinach and garbanzo beans and a little bit of marinara sauce it was great!
I've made the Italian bean soup and the creamy pasta so far and they are AMAZINGL! The recipe sizes are perfect too - not too much or too little. Juuuust right! Can't wait to dive into your Instapot cookbook!
Hi Suzanne! So happy you love both the pasta stew and the creamy pantry pasta. Thanks for sharing and hope you enjoy cooking from my book as well!
Love all the silly bits throughout this video. And of course, the approachable yet unique recipes!!
We have very similar cooking styles. I’m no long vegetarian, but my cooking style is still very influenced by it. And I agree, garlic and onions are a base of flavor. Depending on what I’m cooking, ginger and chili are additional things I add before even throwing in the herbs and spices. I’m hungry!
Oh yes, I always have to add my chili and ginger for any Indian or Southeast Asian recipe. Love it!
