Could you perhaps to a video on different ways to make vegan "meatballs"? We use meatballs in a variety of Iranian dishes, using different sauces to cook them in, and I've been trying to come up with a good vegan alternative to use.
Aside from making accessible recipes that don't require lots of crazy rare and expensive ingredients, you're just so adorable! I lost it at the tomato crushing dance. Also, thanks for the tip on how to chop onions! I always struggle with that.
Aww thank you Setareh! You are so sweet. So glad you enjoyed the recipes (and the tomato crushing dance haha). Hope onion chopping will be smooth sailing from here on out :)
Hi guys.. So I've toyed with plant based for the last 3 or 4 years.. But in lockdown 3 in the South East of the uk have decided to go full plant based as need to loose 30 lbs and want to take my health more seriously as I'm 45 this year.. So not getting any younger... This is bar far the best plant based bolognese I've ever cooked!! Soo delicious! Looking forward to cooking alot of your recipes as i now have the time.. And newyear 2021 motivation... Love this channel.. Only joined 3 days ago!! Soo good.. And chilled and funny... Love it!
My Tipp is to also look at the ethical side. Watch Dominion. It's not easy but so worth it. You will find eating a plant based diet after this do much easier.
Could like this a billion times. Way too many others put so many ingredients i can’t get or use methods that are way hard to get! Love this. Thank you for making easy and accessible vegan meals!
Another comment from me 👋🏽 but this time I’m back to share my appreciation for your bolognese recipe! I have enjoyed this more than I have ever enjoyed a vegan bolognese before. I’ve had this over pasta, on the side to some mashed potato and veggies (a slightly odd combo but so yummy) and I even used it in a lasagne 😍 I am just so thankful for the simplicity of your recipes because although they do not contain 700 ingredients, like other recipes, they don’t lack in flavour whatsoever! Last night my youngest brother turned down dinner made by my mum (which was a meat dish) in exchange for the lasagne and he said it was the best one I’ve ever made. I shall recommend your recipes to everyone and they shall remain permanently in my life. Thank you again ☺️
Hi Nelly! Aww I appreciate your feedback so much! So glad you've been enjoying the bolognese in so many different ways. And that's so nice to hear you are loving my recipes and sharing them. Thank you so much for your kind words!
Not cutting out the bloopers makes your videos so much better. I feel like it makes the recipes even more achievable as I can relate more :D Also, I absolutely adore those little sciency bits you throw in here! What's not to love about the combination of cooking learning? Anyways, LOVED the video! I hope you're doing great in spite of all the craziness!
Aww thank you Margaret! I'm so happy you enjoyed the silly bits and the science! I love teaching and being silly, so I think it's the best of both worlds :) I am doing good, thank you for asking. Hope you are staying healthy and safe!
I'm not a vegan but came across your website and totally hooked! I've tried a few of your recipes (all delicious) and can't stop watching your videos. I feel so healthy too after 3 weeks of changing my diet, sharing with my friends too. You have truly inspired me!
I make your Red Lentil Bolognese every single week and my family loves it. I even took the bolognese sauce and substituted it for meat sauce in a lasagna recipe and brought it to my family Christmas and everyone LOVED it (even the meat eaters!), they were so impressed it didn't have any meat!! Your channel has changed my life and has made eating plant based so much more easy.
Tonight I made the Creamy Pantry Pasta for dinner!!! Added some red bell pepper, kale, and tempeh, and some liquid smoke because I didn't have smoked paprika. Hands down one of the most delicious vegan pasta recipes I've ever had!! And the ingredients list is just so simple and easy. This is going to definitely be a repeat during these times, the ultimate comfort food!!!
Hi Emma, thank you for sharing your feedback and so happy to hear it was one of the most delicious pasta recipes :) I love your addition of kale and tempeh!
I tried the spaghetti bolognese and it is immaculate for a vegan recipe. I'm so picky about my food and its flavours but this one was so similar to a real spaghetti bolognese that it truly satisfied my craving. Thank you!
Made the bolognese for the first months ago and it's become a regular meal in our home. My 9yr old son asks for all the time. It's one of his favorite meals. I'm back to find more delicious recipes. I've now subscribed. Thank you so much. ❤️❤️
Thank you Nisha. I cooked your vegan bolognaise tonight and it was really yummy. I thought I might miss having cheese but I didn't at all. Even my husband who although vegetarian is a vegan sceptic really enjoyed it.
I can totally attest for the deliciousness of the Creamy and smoky pasta. Although I totally forgot to add the smoked paprika( oops), the result is phenomenal! It’s so creamy and so flavorful. I also added a handful of mushrooms slices, and I cooked them as I’ve seen in a mushroom recipe also cooked by you, which added extra umami flavor. I’m currently eating it now, making mhmm sounds! Bravo for this recipe. It’s a keeper no question!
Nisha I’m not quite sure how you do it - but the word GENUIS comes to mind!!!!! I just made the pantry pasta and OMG - how on earth is there THAT much flavour in such a simple dish - love love love and new weekly staple - thank you!!!! Xx
I've tried many lentil bolognese recipes and they never look this hearty or thick, so I'm definitely going to give this recipe a try! And probably the other two after that haha. They all look delicious!
I made the first recipe, it is SO GOOD!!! So brilliant to use lentils to replace the meat. It’s perfect!! The texture, the size. I absolutely loved it. Looking forward to trying the next recipe.
I love your solution for creamy sauces!! I've been looking for something easy that tastes and feels right, and I love the combo of quick roux, oat milk/coco cream and the tahini! Lifesaver!!
I made the lentil bologanese tonight after watching this video yesterday. I’ve been eating a vegan plant based diet for 8 years. This is fabulous! Love the flavor and the “meaty” texture of the red lentils. Can’t wait to try the others! Thanks so much!
I am not a vegan but do try to incorporate plant based meals to give my body a break from processed and animal based products from time to time. The Creamy Vegan Pasta is absolutely delicious! I added mushrooms in mine. I would honestly make this with salmon cubes as well.
Okay, we must have been connected here. I just came back from the grocery store and bought some fresh pasta and tortellini and low and behold you have 3 pasta recipes for me to try. Thank you Nisha. They all look so wonderful! Love your playfulness in the kitchen. You are just so you!
I just made your red lentil Bolognese for the first time and really liked it!! And it made so much, I had enough for the whole week! Will def be making it again, thank you!!🙏
i am now having the first pasta for dinner, and it's fantastic! i allowed myself to make two tweeks to it: -> deglacing with white wine -> and together with the tomato puree i also added a little bit of red curry paste it turned out to be very delicious!
We have very similar cooking styles. I’m no long vegetarian, but my cooking style is still very influenced by it. And I agree, garlic and onions are a base of flavor. Depending on what I’m cooking, ginger and chili are additional things I add before even throwing in the herbs and spices. I’m hungry!
Yes, I can relate to not wanting to create more dishes, even if it makes food prep harder. Last night I made stir-fry and considered using a mandolin slicer to chop my veggies, but I opted to take 4x as long to finely chop everything and not have to wash the mandolin slicer.
I have all of these ingredients and would never have come up with the recipes you made. Thanks for another great video. I will be eating pasta all week
I put a spin on your creamy pasta recipe and made it my version of a pancit bihon, a celebratory filipino noodle dish. I added shredded carrots and spinach, with the traditional bihon noodles, and used your sauce recipe! I also traded in the oat milk for almond milk, which did not deduce the creaminess! Thank you for sharing! It was delicious :)
Can’t wait to try this. My wife and I decided to eat more vegan meals weekly. We’ve used meat in every single dinner for as long as I can remember. Day 3 of vegan and feeling better
Hi there, I just tried all three pasta meals. All of them came out very good. Number 1 - smokey pasta, number 2 - bolognese, 3 - pasta soup :-) Thank you so much for recipes
I was really sceptical when it came to veganizing popular dishes such as burgers, lasagne, bolognese, carbonara, etc. But then I tried several vegan meals and I changed my mind :) Now I can say that 90% of what I eat is vegan. Today I made your bolognese and I must admit that it is DELICIOUS! 🧡🍃 I absolutely loved it! I used to love traditional bolognese, but when I was eating this one, I didn't miss the traditional one at all! The taste is really simillar 😊 So I look forward to trying the remaining pasta ideas from this video 😊
Made this the other day, and all I can say is WOW👌 so so good, I'm a new enough to eating vegan and I'm thrilled I found this channel, make eating vegan so easy and tasty!
I've made the Italian bean soup and the creamy pasta so far and they are AMAZINGL! The recipe sizes are perfect too - not too much or too little. Juuuust right! Can't wait to dive into your Instapot cookbook!
Congrats on the 100K, that’s fantastic! I’m hoping to get there someday but have a long way to go! Love the recipes! I’m 8 weeks in (vegan) and still learning a lot about the lifestyle. Love all the new recipes like these! Thanks so much!
You make the creamiest and comforting pasta recipes Nisha! They all look so good, I don't even know which to make first 🤤The cooking tips are so helpful too!
Your videos are so useful, thank you! In the last week, we've made your caramelized onion pasta, refried beans for burritos, and instant pot white bean stew. Thank you for helping us eat well during this pandemic!
Nisha, I can see why you gave up your “day career”, your talents (& humour) definitely are appreciated by UA-cam followers than people in a stuffy office 😄 Your accents going from American to Italian & a little bit of English was hilarious 🤣 Thank you once again for these delicious recipes. Stay safe & gidday from Australia mate 😆
Aww haha you're so funny Tracey :) My australian accent could use some work - I usually start out good but end up sounding british. Thanks for the love and kind words!
I’ve made your lentils bolognese a couple times and just want to say I love your recipes, as a vegetarian trying to relearn to cook in a plant based manner, it really helps that simple recipes like this are hearty, delicious and easy to make! ❤️❤️🌱 Keep it going!! Love your channel
i tried the second recipe today and it exceeded my expectations! i didn’t have any nutritional yeast at the moment but the sauce ended up tasting so cheesy and delicious! i doubled the recipe to store in the fridge :)) thank you for the amazing recipes!! 🌿❤️
Thank you so much for sharing your knowledge of cooking vegan food and providing delicious recipes to make. I made this for my partner's lunch today. He said it was the most delicious pasta meals he'd had in a long time! I also really appreciated the link to the recipe and print function. x
Watched video...went and made creamy smoky pasta...deliicious. I actually used the saute function of my Instant Pot to make the sauce and then kept it on the warm setting while pasta finished cooking. I will definitely be trying the other two recipies as well because I love pasta.
I just last night made a pasta sauce using red lentils. Who knew I was making a Bolognese? I added fresh basil to mine, and sauteed onions, garlic, carrot, celery, green bell pepper and mushrooms. Served it over Farfalle pasta with a mixed green salad.
You are adorably funny. So happy I found you and your yummy recipes! Just came back from an essential grocery shopping trip. My vegan son is excited to try your dishes and so am I.
I just cooked the red lentils pasta and WOAAH, IT'S SO GOOD! The walnuts fit perfectly with this recipe! It's simple to make, tasty and has also a nice presentation. Thumbs up!
Aw thanks Mark, glad to hear that :) My partner is not vegan and I do all the cooking, so I have a heightened sensitivity to what non-vegans want to eat!
Made the white bean pasta stew last night and wow. I loved it, my partner loved it. Thank you so much for another great recipe. I brought your book a while ago but still don't have an instant-pot. lol! Waiting for a sale and also not sure whether i should get the version that has the air-fryer option.
I made the second recipe of pasta, I added some cooked kale, oh my God it is amazing. I'm starting to enjoy food again thanks to your recipes. I also made your recipe for oatmeal for my breakfast, that one is from another video, that was the best oatmeal I have eaten ever. Thank thank for you amazing and healthy recipes.
Besides these amazing and tasty looking recipes, your personality shinesss. I don’t believe I have come across your channel before but it’s been refreshing to stumble upon it. I instantly knew Id be subscribing from the 0:30 second point because I love how you didn’t edit out all of these little bloopers. I’ve been searching for a good lentil bolognese for a while also, one that doesn’t contain mushrooms, so I’ll be 100% making this for tomorrow’s dinner! Thank you ☺️
I just finished the first recipee in the video, (added some cream and cheese) and I am amazed at how tasty this was!!! Mind blowing really, and my 2-year old son ate 2 portions
your hair looks so beautiful in this video!! I have a similar recipie and usually add some frozen peas to the sauce right at the end, they thaw up really quickly and give it an extra level of freshness. looking forward to trying this version!
I made the red lentil bolognese and it was wonderful!! I substituted the walnuts for pecans and brown sugar for the balsamic vinegar since I didn't have them but it was still phenomenal! No leftovers = Winner 🏆
My non-vegan wife loves pasta but I can't seem to cook a 10/10 for her. I reckon one of these recipes might win her over, will give them a try, thank you!
These look really good! I'm not vegan (I don't currently have the means to do it, and I'm too fond of chicken pho to be completely vegan), but I'm thinking when I get back to school in the fall I'm going to try to only eat vegan meals there and gradually (once I get a job) try to eat maybe all but 1 meal a week vegan. These dishes look like the kind of thing I could bring to school without it taking forever to cook.
I've made Lentil pasta before. Not fancy like yours. But its really good. You wouldn't even miss the meat. These dishes look yummy. I have made a creamy vegan mushroom dish before. Its really good. I need to make it again. :) Your dishes always look good though.
How did I not find your page earlier?? Thank you so much for these amazing recipes!! My hubby and I recently got married and I made one of your moong dal recipes last night! He is also Indian and loved it!!!
You are so adorable and your videos are so delightful to watch! I have learned so much by watching you cook for the past couple weeks. I made the Bolognese last weekend and it is INCREDIBLE!! I couldn’t wait for lunch time every day at work. Thank you Nisha! I also made your White Bean and Kale soup too! Delicious!!
I tried the creamy pantry pasta and it hits the spot it tastes sooooo good I found my replacement for alredo pasta. Thank you. I cant wait to try the marinara one.
Hi friends, thank you so much for 100K :) What is your favorite pantry meal right now? Stay safe and be well!
RainbowPlantLife will you be making a video on how you edit with Lightroom?
Could you perhaps to a video on different ways to make vegan "meatballs"? We use meatballs in a variety of Iranian dishes, using different sauces to cook them in, and I've been trying to come up with a good vegan alternative to use.
I actually made a video recently showing myself making red lentils and then pasta! Clearly my pantry isn't as stocked as yours 😉
Congratulations!! Love your videos!
My favorite pantry meal so far has been red lentil curry and rice. I might change my mind after trying these recipes.
@@xRaramuri Aww that is the NICEST. thank you thank you!
Use a slap chop for onions and veggies
I love all the bits of humor and personality shining through! The squishy tomato part at 10:35 was ADORABLE!
Aww I'm glad you do. Haha they really were squishy lol. Kinda fun to play with your food as an adult :)
I love how she is so normal and funny. She is not so stressed about perfection, she is just a blast!!!
The only problem is...which recipe do I make first??? They all look so good!
Haha that’s a good problem to have. Start with whatever you’ve got in your pantry right now :)
Totally agree. I want to eat all of them. Love your channel. Thanks
I feel the same way. I’m starting with the first recipe she made and working my way through all of them. Pasta all week. Anyone else ?
I am definitely starting with the creamy pasta but think we'll end up trying all three very soon :)
😁

Just made the smoky pasta. So so soooo good! It tastes like a Cajun Alfredo pasta. I added some kale and blistered chickpeas. Omg omg
Omg ok this exciting I’m looking for recipes to replace my faves as a meat eater so I’m excited.
@@ladiepink Yeah definitely recommend this one. I was very surprised. Good luck!
That red lentil pasta recipe smackss! Your recipes never fail in this kitchen 😭❤😍

All 3 pasta recipes look yummy, especially the lentil bolognese because it looks so rich and hearty. Great video!
Awesome you made the creamy pasta already :) and good use of the keep warm function on the instant pot!
Please do more easy vegan recipes! I switch to vegetarian/vegan for my lunches. You're videos look great!
Hi Nisha,
I tried your Vegan Red Lentil Bolognese. It came out really good.
I just cooked the red lentils pasta and WOAAH, IT'S SO GOOD! The walnuts fit perfectly with this recipe! It's simple to make, tasty and has also a nice presentation. Thumbs up!
Hi Marcia, I'm so happy you love the bolognese so much! Thanks for sharing your feedback :)
Just made the Bolognese and OH MY GOD. It's heavenly!! Thank you!!!! ❤️
The recipes look amazing, even for a non-vegan hehe! Love that you show your personality! ;)
Aw thanks Mark, glad to hear that :) My partner is not vegan and I do all the cooking, so I have a heightened sensitivity to what non-vegans want to eat!
The creamy pasta is on menu at my house TO-DAY 😋! Thanks!
Hi there! I'm so flattered to hear that my recipes are helping you enjoy food again! That makes me so happy to hear!
I made the bolognese yesterday and it's absolutely delicious. 10/10!
Thank you ☺️
Thank you so much 😊That is so nice to hear. You are too sweet, Nelly. You've made my morning with your kind comments.
I like that she didn’t cut the mispronouncing.. so cute🥺
I just finished the first recipee in the video, (added some cream and cheese) and I am amazed at how tasty this was!!! Mind blowing really, and my 2-year old son ate 2 portions
These are all so perfect to try out on my non-vegan husband and kids. They look so amazing. Not sure which one to try first. Thank you!!!!
your hair looks so beautiful in this video!!
I have a similar recipie and usually add some frozen peas to the sauce right at the end, they thaw up really quickly and give it an extra level of freshness.
looking forward to trying this version!
I like using small carrot cubes in my bolognese, as they give it a real nice texture.
I made the red lentil bolognese and it was wonderful!! I substituted the walnuts for pecans and brown sugar for the balsamic vinegar since I didn't have them but it was still phenomenal! No leftovers = Winner 🏆
So lovely to hear that, Jeanine! Thanks for sharing your feedback!
Tip: save money by buying tomato paste in a big can and just freeze it in small zip lock bags
Honestly! so entertaining whilst learning good wholesome food recipes, your a natural....
love peace and happiness from Scotland
Best way I've ever seen to chop an onion. Seriously, thank you!
My non-vegan wife loves pasta but I can't seem to cook a 10/10 for her. I reckon one of these recipes might win her over, will give them a try, thank you!
I prepared the creamy pasta and it was sooooo good i could eat the whole skillet❤❤❤ thank you!
Ciao, my father was originated from southern italy, so i love Pasta too.. many greetings from Brunswick in Germany and please stay safe 🙂
you make cooking so easy and simple, you are so informative and slow for a beginner like me! thank you!
I've made Lentil pasta before. Not fancy like yours. But its really good. You wouldn't even miss the meat. These dishes look yummy. I have made a creamy vegan mushroom dish before. Its really good. I need to make it again. :) Your dishes always look good though.
