Thank you for the informative video! I was wondering if CPE is required once you pass all 4 sections of the exam or once you obtain your cpa license?
i passed all my exams but have yet to fulfill the experience requirement. Thank you!!
Great question!
When you obtain your cpa license is when you would need CPE!
Turning to my-cpe for my continuing education has been a game-changer. The courses are not only budget-friendly but also packed with the most current information and insights. It's the perfect combo for professionals like me.
i have been CPA since 2 year and I've been using my-cpe for a while now, and I'm always impressed by how they manage to keep their courses both affordable and incredibly high-quality. Plus, everything is so up-to-date, it feels like they're always one step ahead.
Great video! Definitely will be using some of these tips!
Very nicely laid out. Thank you!
Thank you. Concise and straight to the point!
Your vlogs are really useful for me and I love to watch your vlogs whenever I need inspiration. Thanks a lot for your vlogs.
Thanks so much!! I try to post a video or a reel every week in 2022 🙂
Thanks for sharing such information blog.
I have a question -if I passed my CPA from Connecticut state in USA then in that case can I get job any other states of America.
Is there any other exam required
Thank you Jen. One question, how you submit the CPE credit ? how to notify the authority that i finished the CPE? thank you. I realized that a lot of vlog talking about the CPE requirement for CPA, but none of them mentioned how to report the CPE credit.
Each state will vary on reporting criteria. The best place to learn such requirements is to review the website of the governing agency for CPA’s, in your state.
Every time I've reached out to the my-cpe team with questions or doubts about my CPE requirements, they've been nothing short of amazing. Quick to respond and incredibly knowledgeable, they make navigating CPE a breeze.
What state are you in? Some states don't even break down what type of cpe to do. Lol. You usually just have to do 40 hours a year generally.
Is this required for book keepers
Awesome video! Do you know what are the consequences of missing the 20 hours minimum per year requirement? I am a California CPA and my license expires on November 30, 2022. I did not realize I have to complete the 20 hours minimum hours in 2021 until now. Do you think I can still renew in active status? This is my first time renewing.. I thought I could do all 80 hours in 2022.. Thank you in advance.
I’m in a similar situation to yours. Were you able to renew your license?
Every time I've reached out to the my-cpe team with questions or doubts about my CPE requirements, they've been nothing short of amazing. Quick to respond and incredibly knowledgeable, they make navigating CPE a breeze.
Whenever I've contacted the my-cpe team for assistance with my CPE needs, they have consistently provided exceptional support, responding promptly and demonstrating extensive expertise, which greatly simplifies the process of managing CPE.
Can I use the Udemy completion Certificate for the ISACA certificate CPE?
Awesome advice
your video is very helpful!
Thank you!
Thanks very helpful 👍
Glad you found this video helpful! 😁
Can you tell us more about how much you make after taxes especially starting out as an associate in private accounting? Thanks!
I would try searching that in the rh Salary Guide linked below:

lmk if you have any other questions!
Hi Jen, I used the EY link for free CPE. I made an account and registered for the webcast, but they never sent an invite to my email? How do I access the webcast?
Hey Brandon! So you should get an email stating “Thank you for registering” with the link to the Webcast. However, the link won’t work until 15 mins before the Webcast. They often send reminder emails as wells before it starts.
As someone always looking for value, my-cpe hits the sweet spot. Their courses are priced just right, without compromising on quality. And I love that I'm learning the latest in my field-feels like a smart investment.
1.Hey, I'll be completing my MBA-fin. by 2023. And I am very interested in EA(US Taxation)
So will they both be a good combination ? (career wise - future opportunities, growth, paygrades)
2.And I don't have the knowledge of audit, will that effect my growth in future ? (after 15-20 years in the industry)
Hey Tammy -
Most people that I worked with were working towards their CPA as it is recognized more in the accounting space. I did have a colleague who became an EA so that she could be promoted to manager (in public accounting there was a cap. If you didn't have your cpa license they wouldn't promote you). I would say EA is a good place to start and maybe down the road you will want to also get your cpa license. In tax, you do work with audit teams but you are focused on the tax accounts (ex: deferred income tax, income tax expense, etc.) As long as you learn how to audit the tax accounts you should be fine. They will teach that to you on the job! Lmk if you have any other questions 😊
