Sometimes, I just look up Boston dynamics to see what they are up to sometimes 😂
Yup! that's exactly what I just did too. Haha
same here, i just got this thought randomly like "hey, wtf is boston dynamics up to nowadays" :D
"Are they ready to take over the world yet?"
Sometimes
Same
I hope to be able to serve as an engineer at Boston Dynamics one day💥💥
Inshallah
One step at a time!... first you need to get off the crack you're smoking
Same bro!!!!! We're making it one day, good luck to you!!:_)
I hope you do
You better make sure those AI bots better not turn on us in not trying to be smart just curious because sometimes AI can't be trusted
This is shaping up to be amazing for drills, excavations, subway, plants, etc. as support and security check up.
Spot is the most practical robot I've ever known
Omg spot gets more cuter everytime i see it
Great additions to Spot keep up the great work Boston Dynamics!
Only Boston Dynamics will create and pioneer the robot age on earth.
Agreed
Patch 3.3: - Enemies can now open doors
My concerns for gauge readings are the parallax errors. Most gauges are in a height, that minimizes those errors, but spot has a height disadvantage.
I'm sure they can adjust for that, since it can tell where the dials are in 3D space. If not that would be an issue for sure.
At 0:51 it shows it adjusting for parallax error
새로 버전업 된 보안로봇이 멋있네요! 역시 보안로봇의 선두 기업답습니다~
Awesome engine, cool

Bro Boston dynamics is making real sci fi level robots. They’re like nasa and apple doing the impossible and making sci fi a reality
So is there a casting agency somewhere the specializes in models who exclusively pose in hardhats and point at monitors?
I’m hoping to work there someday
Y'all should make a stripped down version with cheaper materials for consumers. Lets get this party rolling! It's going to happen anyways XD. Might as well play with the toys before they turn on us.
The way it falls when you hit the e-stop 😭
Looking forward of a dance video when the time comes 😊😊
Looks great! Now if only the 'eye' glowed red.
Spot on.
They finally added a red estop button
Amazing!
Спасибо
I just want a spot to help me with my shopping and other things that I can't do that most people take for granted. A medical support spot will be a great help for people like me.
There are services such as doordash and instacart that may be able to help with that. Although I understand that the uptick in price due to it being a delivery service might be a deal breaker for some.
I spilled spot remover on spot and now its gone
theyve learned how to open doors _😨_
About five years ago.
new dog just dropped
They are really looking practical now….Laurie. NZ.
Love from india
I wanna a Dogbot in my house - SP - Brazil
Can it clear a minefield yet?
We want to see SPOT DANCE !
Can this water my trees and garden?
It's amazing. I can't think of any applications, but it's amazing!
No seriously, it's amazing that it can open doors and walk on slippery floors etc, from a tech poiont of view it is absolutely amazing. But if you have a plant that has a slippery floor... well there aren't any. How many plants do you know that have critical pipes that have no leak detection? Even this video illustrates that whatever spot sees has to be evaluated by humans who'd be much faster to just wlak Spot's route than to Spot is. And obviously a $12 sensor at the place where things can leak does the same job and will report the instant the leak happens, and not once per hour when Spot happens to walk by and look up.
And what happens when Spot is ionspecting and get's it's foot stuck, does the entire inspection process just stop and we all prayh nothing goes south while spot is being repaired?
Spot is a truely amazing piece of kit but currently is serkioiusly has one application only: it's a walking camera for emergency services.
I agree! Now, in terms of application I was thinking about in the case of a crime scene, where some victima are locked in a room. Policemen could send this robot to open the door. What do you think?
The application is that you "teach" it to do a set of tasks once, then it performs those actions regularly. It allows the humans to focus on other tasks and take a few seconds to review data rather than waste time traveling around to do inspection themselves. Also, some factories cannot be updated so those "$12 sensors" don't do them any good (I have enough friends in industrial automation who can't get approval to install Docker, installing a physical device would never fly). It's hard to see the application if you're only thinking of this video and small scale, but when you think about long term, human safety, and automations in general this has countless uses.
There aren't any factories with slippery floors? You've never worked in a factory that makes food products then.
The most intriguing app for me is elder care. A large percentage of the people who are put in nursing homes every year could remain in their homes for longer with a minimal amount of assistance. Someone to help them out of bed or the chair, pass them the remote control or the telephone, remind them of their medicines and maybe bring them with some water, check their vital signs, and call for help if necessary. Unfortunately home health aides are expensive, can only stop for a couple of hours a couple times a week, and burnout is extremely high in that field. Spot can do most of that now, although still lacking the AI to tie the pieces together. Also it's been shown that having a pet, even a robotic one, improves seniors' mental health and helps relieve loneliness.
Since the costs of a nursing home is over $100,000/year the company that can achieve a viable product will have customers lined up around the block to get them. Japan is the leader in research in that field, since they have a rapidly aging population, young people don't want to/can't care for their elders adequately, and seniors tend to be very resistant to allowing foreigners into their homes. Their emphasis has been on humanoid forms though, so progress is slower.
Can you make it cook my tea?
♥️💎
What type of education or certification you need to build this or program these robots?
Electrical engineering is a good place to start, and the ROS (Robot Operating System) software is free and open source.
Let's check on Cyberdyne's progress. Mhhh. Not bad.
This is all awesome, but can he dance?
Can it self charge?
yes
@@DuBstep115 any videos showing that?
This soulless corporate music hurts to listen to.
It fits the soulless product and corporate displayed in the video...
Please let us know what you think 🤔🔙👀 to think you can see 🧐💔📢🙏🤖👾🧐🔙🐽✍️🈲💐🕺💃👾
It seems a very minor update like roomba hoovers that have max out. Hopefully the company still innovating like it was 5 years ago
Situation : gauge in dangerous location, unsafe to inspect
Engineering solution : build semi-autonomous super advance robot to enter dangerous location and transmit an image of the gauge via radio waves back to control room.
Normal Person Solution : move the gauge to a safe location, inspect as needed.
Do u know where is Sarah Connor...
Better increase their battery charge. These robots work only a few hours
Put spurs on its feet, then it will be able to climb those pesky vertical ladders... possibly. 🤔
Who can I talk to about an idea I have a few different versions and 💡
Good doggy
Imagine using Spot integrated with Chatgpt as a pet that speaks and do stuff for me.
imagine chatgpt becomin a lil sentient
@@theabyssaldemon It never could as it's an A.I. and not an A.G.I.
Is the T-1000 ready to go yet ?
Why did Spot the Boston Dynamics robot always win at hide-and-seek?
Because he always had a "spot-on" hiding spot!
You should be embarrassed
@@fl1ntlock1 YOU should be embarrassed for attempting to shame this 5 star comment. Shame.
@@fl1ntlock1these robots have more of a soul then you
na chuj mu papier do zyrafy? bedzie gladzie tarl?
Send me one for free thanks.
Only one?
I'd like to buy some shares from this company
I'll buy one in red with go faster stripes.
New dances, dog martial arts addon?
What is the difference of having that tech on everyone's hardhats instead of a robot?
Some environments that it would inspect have a higher risk to human safety than others. The robot is essentially a way to minimize the chance that a human would be injured in those situations.
how it scratched doors, 1:57🙄
When are you going to have one that can just go round my business and pick up trash once an hour and keep an eye on things? I will buy it right now if you can make something that will pick up trash, and will run off if anyone tries to steal it.
Then obviously run around after with a leave blower
Then vacuum up the interior areas.
ai powered?
Yeah but can you use it to stab intruders and shit
Not it's intended use ... but I think you _could ..._
Keep working on atlas then sell the research to someone who can make it cheap. Thats when true progress is made
Along w/a lower price it needs a much longer battery life...
@@mikeblaz hence the "keep working on atlas" bit
@@Srindal4657 IMO SpaceX is going to blow by BD in the near future or may already have in a short amount of time. They have more money/funding and will recruit and pay for the best of the best employees.
The research is being sold to the investors. Softbank and Hyundai fund the R&D and use the technologies for their own purpose.
Boston Dynamics was sold to Hyundai a couple of years ago.
🤦🤦♂
Fake! We all know that all robots are just props with humans inside.
are you joking? idk if you are, seems like it but with some peoples iq these days its hard to tell
Why not build a robot for boxing what comes to my mind is real steel
Why not put some retractable wheels on this guy so that he can move more efficiently on even surfaces.
can boston save the people in the titan submarine if they whats the purpose of these type of robots humanity must come first ,
they dead
F Humans
When does Spot go down in the Ukrainian trenches?
Maybe you could send some to help Ukraine in its defense? 🇺🇦 🇺🇸
They would just steal it from the depot and sell it on the black market. A Ukrainian unit was caught last year after selling two $7 million French Caesar howitzers to Russia for $60,000 each.
Did you read that on RT or Sputnik ? @@cuscof2
Y’all done with the dog bots? Let’s see the cool ones already
Please stop. This is not good for humans.
Boston Dynamics designing your demise today.
That, unfortunately, is an affirmative Will Robinson.
