Fairie Kayla, good luck and wishes for great success with your move to Colorado! I know what a hard decision it was for you to make! You are so loved at #living felt and with all of us you have helped to guide and educate over the years in our felting journeys! I will miss seeing you on Wooly Wednesdays, but how wonderful that Marie has made it possible for you to continue to be a part of the #livingfelt family! Hugs and warm wishes, prayers 🙏 for a safe journey, and hugs to your sweet pup, too! We will miss you until we see you again!
We will miss your smiling face and beautiful personality Kayla. Thank you for your kindness when I've called in. Best of luck to you in your next adventure! ❤️
First of ll, I am so sorry that Kayla is moving. I want to wish you much luck and tell you how much I have enjoyed seeing you on Wooly Wednesday and have come to expect and enjoy your jokes! Good luck on Colorado and know that you have touched me with your kindness.
My favorite take away is that I can watch and re-watch as I make the sunflower parts. So far...I'm up to the petals drying out...and now to the disk. I love being able to watch the whole video...and then watch again as I make it. Kayla...I am really going to miss you and your jokes!! Always made me giggle. Good luck to you!!
Kayla, I wish you so much success and happiness to you in Colorado. I've talked to you a couple of times and you are so nice. And...I love your weekly jokes! Hugs to you
I needed to make many sunflowers for a project and found that cutting an entire flower out of the prefelt in 3 sizes and then felting the petals, then stacking each of the 3 sizes and needle felting to the center disc saved a great amount of time. Such a beautiful sunflower and thank you for the tutorial.
On a separate note ...love y Kayla will miss your jokes and your sweet personality take care and please let us know from time to time how you are doing lots of love for you !!!!!!!!!
Love these flowers and the colors are fabulous. Take always are how to attach neps in a dry felt project. Also the inspiration to do other flowers with other colors available in merino. Can’t wait to give these a try. I bet if you add drop of essential oil to the finished flower, you can make it have fragrance! Great small wet felting fabric project. Good luck to Kayla, Colorado is a great place. Glad to hear you can stay involved the LF gang. I know they will miss having you there in person. Never met Kayla, but I can tell how important LF is to her.
Best wishes Kayla, will miss seeing you! Love the sunflower! Great project to do on vacation, doesn't need a lot of room and can make petals while sitting in a chair in the sun:) I am dreaming.... rainy and cold in Michigan yet...lol
This was a lovely and timely tutorial, all of the bits of information are always welcome. My favorite takeaway was the rolling of individual pieces of the petals that gave that realistic look to the petals.
Secondly. thank you Marie and fairies for the tutorial on Flowers. I have made some of the previous tutorial and look forward to trying the sunflowers.
What a fun project this looks to be. I've watched for the second time and I'm ordering a sunflower kit today. I think it will look fantastic as a brooch on a navy blue sweater! Thanks so much, Marie! And, good luck, Kayla, on your new adventures. Will miss you!
Can't wait to make these sunflowers ! Will challenge me a bit as I have not done a lot of wet felting. PS - good luck Kayla - glad to see you will still be part of the Living Felt family.😃
Good luck on your new adventure Kayla! I will sure miss seeing you! This looks very newbie friendly! Love the colors, especially the Gerber Daisy ones! Thank you for another great tutorial.

Wishing Kayla all the best, and so glad she will still be involved with you guy. I always look forward to wooly Wednesday. Sending best wishes to you all and a big welsh cwtch (hug) xxx
Love this flower and the explanation on how to make the felt piece. I added both flower kits along with the stocking up on these different types of fibers and nepps. I wish there was more hours in the days for all these different projects I want to try and make. :) Wooly Wednesday's make me want to shop fibers. ❤
Loved this tutorial! I've been watching so many episodes I now say "Y'all" and my 5 year old shouts "Happy Woolly Wednesday!" every time I start up a show.... I hope we can still have Kayla sharing her bad Dad jokes, they were horribly good and I looked forward to them, lol.
Gorgeous sunflower ! Truly love the style. My favorite takeaway was the scrunching and twisting technique on the petals. Can't wait to try it. Best of luck to Kayla! She will certainly be missed. Are you auditioning for a new comedian?
These flowers look so fun. I like to make wreaths and have been looking for sunflowers I like. I don't know why I never thought to make my own instead of buying silks! Would you have any recommendations for protecting them when outside? There are sprays for silk flowers, i would assume that would work on wool too?
Thank you for joining us in felting these sunflowers! Please let us know your favorite takeaway from the tutorial!

When you removed the mesh and flipped it over, you added water. Did you add the water and rubbed on top of the plastic?
What did you put on the back to turn it into a brooch.
