As impressive as this is, my overriding thought is how amazing the set designers did and how they built all of this. Don't forget that this really existed on a soundstage in paramount studios. Big respect to them for dreaming this up and then building it
Those Voyager sets are just the best ones in all of Trek. The only ship that felt real to me on the inside. Great Job as always. Would love to get my hands on those assets to do renders in.
When i was young playing Elite Force i loves that so much. Always inmaged how it would be if someone would create the intire ship, add missions so you play like the series. But all those big companies just let it die. But this is great!
Voyager was a defining part of my childhood. I really hope you can make this available in VR. You have done an incredible job. I can't believe how faithfully you've managed to reproduce the ship
Ironically, it is exciting to get to wander around Engineering when there is nothing exciting happening. No dramas, no catastrophes. Just the beeps and hums. And gray.
Out of all the Star Trek ships, I feel like Voyager had the best aesthetics for its interiors. As far as an interior I'd actually want to live in. And on top of that, you've made them look even better than they did in the show. It's amazing how much none of this looks dated to the 90's. Especially compared to how much the Enterprise D interiors are obviously 80's, or original Enterprise interiors are obviously 60's.
Great work! The warp core looks great! I can't believe how realistic everything looks. Voyager always had excellent CG models but they never looked too real and CG was never ideal. But this level of realism is amazing. I wish they would remaster the show in HD widescreen, and you could provide brand new versions of all the model shots, with more detail than ever before. The opening shot of "Good Shepherd" would look way better now! :-)
Great work! I know it’s WIP but the turbo lift lights showing decks going past stood out to me. Hope you can keep this going without any grief from CBS.
Wonderful work as always!!! Im loving the plasma swirl. I remember there was a small control panel on the ground floor railing around the core at the point facing the main entrance?
Will be truly fantastic to experience this in vr, i wish u well & goodluck but fear it may go the way of stage 9 so hopefully it doesnt & we all get to enjoy all the time & effort youve put into it, & you get rewarded with the result you are seeking.❤
I love the Voyager engineering bay. My only issue is the random step channel near the entrance. I don't remember the actors stepping over that. Seems weird, like it shouldn't be there or it should be plastered with warning markings.
Since the general layout of this set was similar to other preceeding series like TNG, where afaik there was no step leading into the Engineering section, it was interesting that they added that for Voyager, which could just aswell have been a shallow ramp. EDIT: Sidenote...what is remarkable for this set, was the directors efficient use of the same long left-/rightward curved corridor from different angles and entry/exit points to make it look like different hallways all across the ship, same way that afaik they had both the Transporter room and Astrometrics opposite of each other on the soundstage in the long straight Turbolift corridor.
@@avon_c6199 I think the step was instituted to make it easier for them to fit the lights under the floor - the TNG engine room never had anything like that, so didn't need it
not to be negative but the lights in the turbo lifts the orange mooving ones only move when the turbo lift is in motion and is a steady non moving light when the turbo lift is stationery
I would be curious to see how tight of a fit this section is within the exterior shell of the ship, since as far as I know you strive for a 1:1 fit with in-/exterior. The shows were always a bit more liberal in that regard and didn't put too much care into making it seem like stuff would fit.
Wow, Sehr beeindruckend!
Well both luckily and unluckily, it seems like the studios don't care much about the Voyager part of the IP... Maybe they would care if they ever planned to revive it.

If I was in charge of digital content at Paramount/CBS, I'd be providing you with a budget and team to create a AAA title out of this work. Amazing!
Instead they're probably precharging their lawyers.

minor suggestion, the core's (blue plasma) material from the show appear to be a matte finish vs a glossy
