Ripx also has the ability to export midi from a stem but it is not that great because it produces midi notes from the artifacts. Decoda from Zplane allows you to paint in the midi notes over the spectral analysis of the music file. So you can create a stem with Ripx and then create a more accurate MIDI file with Decoda. You can also export chord files from any sample with Decoda. Also Ezkeys 2 which drops in May can also create a chord file from any sample.
haha yeah, i been doing that lately to really great effect.i feel like im cheating but the results are just fantastic. not having to follow the timing anymore is amazing, allowing my ideas to literally work straight away. also im listening to music to sample much differently knowing i can rip it nicely anyway i want. instead of 1 beat a week im doing 3-4 now its so easy / inspiring. i do like the un-ripped sample though nothing beats it. but now we just get access to 10 times more good stuff.
I've now compared RipX, Serato studio and just recently Virtual DJ's stems 2.0. In my opinion, whilst RipX is the most extensive in terms of features and an amazing piece of software, Virtual DJ's stem separation seems the cleanest so far.
Amazing. I was just trying on Serato Studio this past weekend, but this takes stem separation to a whole new level. Thanks for sharing the information. :-)
Dope video love how you break it down. This is going to force Serato to put stems in Serato sample not just keeping to the DJ and there Studio Daw program. i use serato sample with my Mpc, and it sucks they left stems out of that.
I was going to buy this late last year but decided to hold off in hopes Akai does their thing. I also seen Rane just released a controller that utilizes Serato Stem separation. Unsure how deep it goes but I need a controller so ima hold off a little longer. Thanks for the video!
marlow! what’s your favorite mpc that you use the most? i’ve had 2000, 2000xl, 1000, 60mkii, and 3000- but never X, Live 2, etc. just wondering, thanks man!🎉
The number of stems is impressive! I got into this lately with Serato. So far they have not integrated stem separation in their 150$-sampler, but they integrated that same sampler + stem separation in their new DAW - for free with limited audio tracks. I don't like the DAW at all, therefore I just export the stems of the loops i create. So I don´t even need more tracks. The sampler is super dope and allows me to select the stems i want on the whole track or each individual pad while playing with it.
@@_CARKENT i will definitely get it as soon as they somehow integrate that stem separation into the plugin. but even without that its a fun tool to endlessly play around with random cuts.
I was gonna ask the same....does Akai have plans to put this functionality in their product? I would rather have native features than bounce between apps.
Awesome video and amazing technology. I posted a comment a while ago about isotope rx9 audio isolation software for sampling purposes. It’s such a game changer, especially for tracks I usually wouldn’t find any workable samples from.
Nice Job Bro!!! I don't smaple anymore unless it's my own live instruments, getting sample clearance became a issue... This would work out for my Remix Catalog though... 🥳🤩🥳How much is it going for? #GreatVid...🎥🎬🎥
C'est littéralement le feu, par contre ça va tuer le game des loopmasters et Cie, plutôt que de payer 36 packs, tu prend ça une bonne fois pour tout et pour le coup tu te fait tes propres packs 💪
This is dope but serato studio is free..Its easy to get around their 2 audio at a time thing. This is still dope, a company tried this a few years back wit the Rearranger
I was just looking to pick this up online, are you using ripx deepremix in this video or both deepremix and deep audio? I’m basically trying to use it in a similar application via exporting these stems to a mpc ! Ty for any info
This is right on time. I just started using something similar and feel like it’s cheating. Glad to see you support it. I might feel more comfortable now 🤔😬
@@tylergates4075you can make different rhythms by doing this on parts of a sample that have multiple instruments and heavy drums and come up with something very different, when people sample stuff with drums there is only so much you can do with it, without spending hours timing things slightly here and there and using eq to hide the drums. It doesn’t make sense, use the tools available today. There are no rules, like Marlow mentioned above 👍🏻
The crazy thing is that its so cheap to do now, I mean this type of stem splitter AI is available in side koala sampler now, INSIDE an already great $10 app. Crazy.
I’m sorry not being a dinosaur..but man imma keep making beats the old way..I mean it’s just the feel and creativity makes it worth it…I’m sure it’s a great thing…I’m just sticking with what I know from mpc to asr and sp1200
@@mpchead I was watching last week i had 90 day for free. And there was interesting how they proces things . Like take just drums out or sample clean up . But offcourse mpc is mpc :)

Don't know anything about this software really. With that I'll say this...1. That's nuts. 2. I hope to see extensive MIDI I/O for automation. 3. This just seems like they made a sampler out of the algorithm that UA-cam, twitch and others uses to auto scan for copyright stuff....not say it actually is but you know what I mean. Back to midi and or auto mation....changing up pitch and scales and what ever you can in the middle of playing....I guset up or tune the software for like a live mode..and a studio mode...idk. Anyways very cool still seems lime it's letting them look In to your shit a bit much especially with more high end hardware coming with wifi and Bluetooth....still would use to especially sample my own stuff..old stuff that I only have as audio...I work on all hardware so the thought of resample myself is really awesome
Dope but now what if Akai had this stem separation in the stand alone units???lol Im just being sarcastic really because its just to easy now,i mean damn, yaw kids better appreciate all this easy access and all i ask is be creative as you can still because now your going to hear alot of producers sampling the same record /song and separate the same parts as is,just still make it your own… Dope video btw.

Serato Studio does it quicker and cleaner. And the workflow is way better than rip X.
The watery AI artefact sound will be the new nostalgia of the future 🤖
Bare facts.
Thats wierd as hell to think about but your right...
You must be delighted the mpc will now have this in built 😮
Yeah RIPX is a total game changer for us sample heads. And opens up a whole world for remixes too.
💯
ive overlooked countless fire samples because of the loud precussion/drums. this is next level
Definitely
This will be big for me as a keys player whose job it is to replicate the sounds and parts of an artist’s album live.
So many uses for this 💯
Marlow Digs, thank you my man, simple and to the point, appreciated. This thing is dope, real game changer, opens up a whole new world to creativity!

Been seeing these ripx videos for the last couple months, and over the months i've gotten way more into sampling and sound shaping.

Actually the midi functionality seems grate just for analyzing and learning for people without perfect pitch
This is crazy game over
Great example Marlow, I will definitely be checking this out. Much respect 🫡
Serious game changer to allow sampling of almost anything!!
My mind is officially blown 😮❤🔥🫨

Do you know if I could use virtual dj to separate stems from an analogue audio source? Like turntables or even cdjs

:-)
Yes that's what I also figured out after using a few programs, this does a great job if you are looking to export.
Same here.. Just got serato studio. then bam I see this online. Plust I've been using Neural Mix Pro for a while now....but this right here is 👌👌
Can you export stems using the free version of serato studios ?
@@RokzBeatz I personally dont know. They give you free trial for 15 days I think or maybe lesser than that. or you can pay like 10$ a month..
@@aisongpool No, the free demo has limitations but doesn´t end. And you can export the stems.

Can you export the individual drum samples on this thing
Yep…and midi of the melodies…definitely worth getting.
Thanks for the video.
You bet

I've already written on MPC Forums that if Akai doesn't implement this into MPC 3.0, it's not worth buying this product.
I imagine they are working on it, I don't see how they can afford not to.
