if you are considering doing some of your own diy accident repair work on a Volkswagen Polo, or any other car for that matter.
in this video I repair accident damage caused to the front of a Volkswagen Polo Vivo.
It's all straight forward DIY part swopping accept for the silver paint that is always a bit more difficult to paint match than most other paints (for me at least).
List of parts I had to get for this repair:
Bonnet
Bumper
Centre upper grill
Lower bumper grill (three pieces)
Headlight (left and right)
Badge
Bumper stiffener
Radiator cradle
Radiator
Ac condenser
Fan assembly complete
Paint primer
Paint base (silver)
Paint clear coat
Paint consumables (thinners, hardener, sand paper, etc)
Antifreeze
Aircon regas

Where you at I usually see cars on auction and I believe it's another cheap way to own a car for some economical season
I've also considered doing that. The only worry for me would be to determine all cost of damages before buying it.

Just crashed my polo about two hours ago into a tree and very similar damage, planning on replacing bonnet, bumper, offside headlight and impact bar, I don’t think I have hit the radiator and I am hoping I haven’t bent the the subframe 🤞

Hi there I've just done the same repair however I can't get my bonnet to close down properly, did you have any issues with that
Hi there. Didn't have that problem. Have you tried adjusting the rubber stoppers underneath the bonnet?
Another option would be to put some shims (washers) between the locking eye on the bonnet.

Ola ,I just wanted to I just got an accident with my polo,it's pretty bad how much do I need??please estimate for the worst ever.
I have the exact same damage except I drove into a moerse rock when I made a 3 point turn 😑 - everything is the same except my radiator fins were less bent and no bonnet damage. The body work is costing me an arm and a leg.
Shit that's unfortunate dude. Was there structure damage that had to be straightened?
@@BroughBuilt fortunately not. Just the 2 radiators were bent (but I decided to replace them), bumper+grill , support at the bottom of the bumper and the cradle (although the cradle *might* be salvageable). I sent you a message on Instagram yesterday and this morning btw.

Thank you! Unfortunately I can't remember exactly but it was in the region of 10 to 15k including the paint. I bought all the parts from Boss auto Spares. They're the best and good price

All that work to remove the front, and you mask the side markers instead of removing them… everything else… good job.
How much does it cost to get that repair
