Never has a kitten been named so accurately. Very adorable!
sourdough has all the flavor for sure!
Right! ❤️I wonder if his sybs were Rye, Wheat, Marble, etc.
Sourdough, Sourpuss - either were appropriate and completely true!
It is approximately the best name for anything, ever
😂
His eyes as he looks down from his solo cage! So expressive. If looks could kill...🧟
Yeah.. I didn't like that at all. Almost counterproductive
"Imma piss in your shoe later." The kitten probably.
baby im the fashion demon
that look mean oh god i hate u so much now u evil lady u put me here hang on top now u get the look

He was mad because he lost his disciples
I can't help but wonder if Sourdough had been looking out for his siblings while they were still feral and felt that he had to keep defending everybody.
that may be the case because my cat (also a rescue - found in a box with her siblings) is very protective and dominant and I figured that she was the one who took up that role, as well
@@conquistadorrocket We once rescued a pair of kittens we had found on a rainy evening, and the female was protecting her male sibling. When we went to pick them up, she let out with a hiss that I swear must have come clear from her hind claws.
Cats just make life worth living ❤
Poor kitty, trying so hard to look fierce but ends up looking adorably cute 😆
"I angy!"
That's always so hilarious. We can't take them seriously ^.^
Sourdough: “ F-[MEOW] you!!! I’m not cute!!!” [Runs back into blanket]
Me: [Holding in laughter] “ Even foul language isn’t helping the purrito baby…”
I thought he was promising, he will thrive no matter the condition
Well until they get you with those claws :p
Omg, that side eye he gives her at 1:57 as he's in his purrito and she's talking about how much he hates her. LOL 😂😂🤣🤣
Yes 😂😂
Her: “…he hates my guts…”
Him: “Sleep with one eye open.”
@@everlasting9292 Him: "Understate much?"
2:09
Her: kisses his cheek.
Him: *"I will dissect you alive."*
Sourdough: "For ONCE, we agree on something".
Kitten hates his foster mom, so she wraps him up in a purrito and keeps him close. Amazing!
the fact that she locks them in a cage and wraps him up so he cannot move is the reason why he did not trust her. wake up.
@@jdogsful Wrong, they fear humans when not exposed to us right from the beginning, and if you let them hide all the time they never get the exposure. There's a short window of time to tame kittens, and after that it becomes very difficult. Keeping them confined ensures they get the contact they need to become tame. Sourdough was more resistant than his litter mates, but if he wasn't confined, he NEVER would have accepted humans.
@@krisniznik3953 lol. wrong. all my cats have been either strays or feral. food, kindness, comfort and safety is how trust is gained. try understanding their personalities and not forcing them to be in situations they dont want to be in.
Fact is, there are many ways to tame a beast. Some methods are just more enlightened. This chick sucks at it, koz she cares more about recording it for content.
@@jdogsful You're still watching though aren't you? My cats are former ferals too, and some do tame that way over time. I have one that decided to be tame at 12. Fostering kittens is different though. They need to have less choices. While I wouldn't have left him without a sibling, I would have taken away his hiding places so I could pet and hold him on my terms. They are baby mammals, they don't have their mother and they need someone to be gently in charge of them. When they accept it, they will feel more secure than if we let them hide indefinitely in fear.
@@jdogsful She did a great job, maybe you don't understand what end result is, and you just live in a delusional that you could do it better, you don't own the kittens mind, you can't control him with your brain, you literally have to make the cats get familiarized with you, and she did just that.
His name fits him perfectly, “Sourdough” he is adorable. I’m so glad he came around to being a loving little fur baby.
The way he looks up at her when she says "Sourdough still absolutely hates my guts" just cracks me up. What a cute little guy. Full of mischief.
Sourdough was just playing hard to get. It cracks me up, toward the end of the video, you see him surprise attack (in play) the other cat. He's just a rebellious child at heart (lol).
Also, big shout out to the lady who eventually broke Sourdough's tough guy persona. Some ladies have this ability to turn the toughest guy into a guy who can let his guard down and relax a little.
Turn the toughest guy into a .... pussycat?
I know, that little cutie was playing hard to get! People like this woman who persist and love animals with behaviour issues even more, are just the best of the best.
There was once upon a time when men were allowed to chase hard to get women now they comment about it on cats.
@MIND Where do you think tough guy personas come from? In my experience, people who feel the need to act tough are very scared. (That said, I'd rather live with a kitty who feels the need to act tough than an adult human who does. 😆)
Sourdough is just the cutest name and now I’m wondering if he kept it….😂. He was definitely spicy and those little paws were lighting fast…😮. I’m so happy he came around and he’s in a loving home, with friends to play with!!!
There is nothing cuter than a spicy kitten being tamed by love. ❤️😂
@@tdavenport720 Right and this baby was extra spicy…lol
Him just glaring from the corner is so funny
He's turned out to be so sweet they're gonna hafta change his name from Sourdough to Brioche.
That pan up to the cat with just his eyes staring you down was the funniest thing I've seen in awhile.
This is by far the funniest dodo video I've seen so far lmaaaoo poor baby absolutely LOATHED her 🤣🤣 the tiny punches and the tiny evil stares are taking tf me out 🤣🤣 such an angy little thing 🥰
Not angry... he's terrified..
@@wolfygaming7222 more than likely a mix of both
Another great one is with the mouse in the guys car I just came from. That's the funniest dodo video I have seen so far. Especially the guys last words to the mouse as he sets it free.
As a former cat & kitten rescue, I love feral kitten stories with a happy ending!
We used to call them little spitters. If you find yourself with a feral fuzzy ball of claws and hate weighing less than about three pounds, or around a kilo, it's essential to gently 'force' attention on them, as opposed to waiting for them to decide if they like humans. Cloth towel purrito, paper towels handy to wipe your blood off your hands, gentle handling and talking to them, don't flinch or show any fear when they act aggressive. Don't punish them for being frightened and feral, they're just following their core instincts to survive.
Try to schedule your socialization sessions just before feeding time, so they feel rewarded for tolerating human contact. During the socialization period, emphasize the connection between humans and food. Hungry kitty? Then be nice to the humans and they will feed you. If safe to do so, hand-feed treats and dry food, but don't sacrifice your fingers!
Treat all cat bites, even from tiny kittens, as highly septic, almost venomous. If a bite breaks the skin, immediately wash with disinfectant, apply antibiotics, bandage. If swelling and inflammation occur, seek medical help quickly. I've seen cat bites go from "eh, no big deal," to "if the doctor's office isn't open, we're heading for the emergency room!" within a few hours.
_"Treat all cat bites, even from tiny kittens, as highly septic, almost venomous."_
Cat saliva actually _is_ venomous (in a manner of speaking) to some birds and prey-animal species, and the proteins, etc. in it are what drive allergic people's reactions. So, treating cat bites (and scratches that draw blood, by extension) as mid-tier threats to health isn't a bad idea.
Thank you so much for saving all those kitties. They just need love.❤😊
😁😂🤗🤗
You're so welcome! Be safe, Ms. D'Agostino. G'bye.
Reminds me of my cat, Little Bit.
She originally got the name because of her unusual habit of doing everything in very small amounts. She would eat frequently through the day, but only a little bit at a time, or sleep omly a little bit at a time, usually only about half an hour. After chatting with a vet and some checkups, it was determined to just be a personality thing. The name slowly gained new meaning as she got older and developed an extremely opinionated attitude towards everything, and her name became Little Bit' instead, now being abbreviated. She's going on 17 now, and her attitude has long since faded away, she's an absolute cinnamon roll these days, but we all very much remember her spicy years
I love how kittens can be the size of your hand and still READY TO FIGHT YOU! 😂🥰
The kitten deserves all the love. God bless him.
0:40 cracked me up somewhat more than I think it should have
"Well, you're not hissing!" -Other kitten freakin' decks her in the face
That glaring at 1:00 😂😂😂
Aw, poor scared Baby! Used to volunteer at a rescue organization, and a group of kittens came in, with the same scenario. I worked with the one kitty that just wouldn't give in, and it was actually the first to be adopted. It's tough to see them go, but you know it's for the best. ❤❤❤💋
There should be a channel dedicated to foster fails. They’re the only stories I like
That’s a problem 😅
Foster fails aren’t good..they’re actually less happy than successes
no matter how many times i watch this its still amusing to watch
🤩

“How dare you kiss me, human…”
The way he looks at you when you say “ Sourdough absolutely still hates my guts” He’s like “What?” 🤣🤣🤣
1:15 you kept the one that hated you most lol
I felt bad for Sourdough and Emilie. Although he wa a kitten, he behaved like a scared no confidence he lived his whole laugh on the streets. Emilie, I commend you for working with him and not giving up on him. Sourdough being adopted by a family with older kittenss is perfect. They will teach him cat manners. Emile, thank you for not giving up on Sourdough.
The little baby was just scared. Someone else may have mistreated it previously. Never give up.
1:00 That kitty plottin' to kill somebody
"Socialisation bootcamp!"
I DIED! 😂
a week later he also was very cuddly
"I'M not ever CLOSE to you.". Her voice is SO CUTE...🤣🤣🤣
Kitten is a definition of tsundere
3:10 That spring-loaded leap when the credits start oh my god 😻
I first learned from my sister just how narrow the window for socializing kittens can be. It's pretty incredible that you were able to socialize him.
I think he was whispering to them “pssst she suckkks.” 😂🤣
💕 So many beautiful kitties to love. And LOVE is ALWAYS what they need MOST. Yes, of course they need food, shelter, safety. But it is LOVE that changes them, their hearts & their lives.
May Almighty God profoundly bless those who Rescue, who Foster, who Adopt... who dearly
💕 LOVE 💕 & 💕 CHANGE THE LIVES 💕
of homeless innocent angels who, above all else, need & are so worthy of... LOVE.💕🙏💕
The other kittens: "Food and warm blankets? Maybe you're not so bad."
Sourdough: "I'm only a few weeks old and I hate everything you are, everything you represent, and everything you will ever stand for."
i have to wonder if he was trying to protect his siblings! such a feisty little man, he is absolutely precious 💕 his little angy face just melts me
Trust is something you can't demand, it has to be earned.. with the help of a purrito! Adorable spicy kitty.. ♥️
Sourdough!!! Hilarious, apropos name! Oh, and a purrito! Never heard of that, but it’s a great name, too!
So brave to have Sourdough's face right at your face while in the purrito - it worked, great progress! XO
Congratulations on your socialization and adoption, Sourdough! 😄
It's always nice to see that transformation from spicy to sweet. 🥰
0:57 that look 😾
This woman is adorable. Bless her!✨
Glad he started trusting and saw how his life changed for the better.. great story..💛💛💛💛💛
Sourdough! Thank you for rescuing him and for getting him adopted.
Sourdough has the most emotions to show. He show anger a lot, but he also show love a lot too.
Same thing with Willow. Just scratched and beat the hell out of me when I adopted her from a shelter when she was 4 She was called a :swatter’. And it was true. I have 6 bozos And now a year she is this lump that stays on me all the time. You just have to have that patience and a good sense of humor. maybe a few extra bandages in the house. This is great! Thx
Feed him chop meat from your hand. When I adopted a feral kitten yrs ago- this is exactly how I trained her. It works rather fast❤
Usually the ones that resist the longest, love the hardest.
Lol that isn't true. I've had a couple of gingers that were love bugs right from the start
I _knead_ to know if all of his siblings were also named after pastries 😸
brilliant, and kudos to the lady who didn't despair!
I honestly thought it was one of those cats who could never really live with humans. It happens! but her perseverance is awe inspiring 👏👏👏
1:55 look how he looks at you when you say "he absolutely hates my guts...". It's like he's saying "YA THINK?!"
Sourdough ❤️ Thank you for rescuing these beautiful cats. Peace and blessings.
Never underestimate the drive to be petty and hold a grudge.

So cute!
Here's an idea to help with socializing kitties , groom them! If you clean their face with a clean damp cloth or a toothbrush they will trust you❤️
You can't do that if they're literally attacking you nonstop though 😭
Sourdough is THE cutest name lmao so glad he’s got a furever home ❤
So spicy he had to go to
SOLITARY CONFINEMENT!! 😭😭😭
You’ve earned his love. God bless you for taking such tender care of this little angel.
One of my rescues was an adult that had gone semi-feral in shelter due to low amounts of human contact, and it took a few months of careful work to get him to come out of hiding around us. He's a lap-loving cuddlebug now, and thankfully was a hider/stealthcat instead of choosing violence, but at the start he only picked one of the family humans to even go near.
Sometimes they just take time and effort.
Thanks for your patience with Sourdough. He's a real love bug now.
My cat was a total spiceball! As a kitten, she came from a home with too many animals in a small flat. And she was a tortoiseshell, who tend to be feisty. But she turned out to be a fiercely loyal and loving cat. She was protective of me almost like a dog. I ended up trusting her judgment about my potential boyfriends more than my own. She hated a couple of them and she was right to! 😂 She was an incredible character. Once a spicy cat trusts you, you can really have an incredible bond.
Aww he’s the cutest demonic little thing I’ve ever seen ..viciously cute lol
thanks for caring for the little one
Yup. Spicy kittens have to be hugged!
Sourdough is just a passionate cat he hates and loves with with intense passion.
You are a patient soul! Great job!
Such amazing kitties 😻
Truly noble work. As it should be. Thank you and God bless
Sourdough 🤣👌🏿😻He's a cutie!
Cats are awesome!
This was the most adorable story. ❤
" are we feeling frightened?" Got flashbacks of neegan 😂
2:09 wasnt feeling that kiss either😂
“Oh, you’re not hissing!”
**THROWS PUNCH**
Great name. Some people just give the best names.
What a special boy!! Love how he now is a lovebug! Sometimes the only remedy is to separate him from his siblings. I've done fostering and had 1 gray female spicy that took twice as long, the humane society put her separate from the other cats, then foster to adopt. It worked out for her, thank God 😊 🙏 🙌
Shoulda called him Rambo. 😂 …”I’ll give you a war you wouldn’t believe…let it go.” 😂😂❤❤
This little one REALLY reminds me of a lesson I learned working in a preschool. The kids that need loved the most, will ask for it in the worst ways. He really didn't trust easily, but one he does, such a lover.
I've fostered hissy, spitty kittens before. I just put a pair of gloves on and pick them up and they usually come around very fast is their young enough. a couple of months old and it's a different story.

Emilie: "I do think he's showing progress, right?"
Sourdough: "I am NOT!"
Cute name, Sourdough! Love it! Yeah, he is spicy!!!
Ma sha Allah MashAllah. Separated from mother feels bad.
Sourdough kung fu is much stronger than yours give up now before it's too late!!!😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
Great name Sourdough! Nice to see when a young cat or dog are able to learn to trust, very rewarding.
Tbh love this foster mom! What a sweet lady and even cuter babies ❤
The cat that fights the hardest, falls the hardest and becomes the most fiercely loyal cat.
Thank you for not giving up on him.😺
*Absolute heroes. My heart goes out to those wonderful people who saved those animals. Gives me faith again in this messed up world of ours.*
Love your vocabulary of optimism.
Sourdough is so cute friend 😁
2:08 "The moment I get out of this trapping, I will gut you like a fish, and feed your guts to the birds, who I will then kill and eat out of spite."

That death stare from the penthouse suite lol
I love it when a featherweight kitten gets spicy to "protect itself."
good humans doing great stuff for amazing cats. There is hope! Yay for Sourdough! Hims was prickly spicy at first! Awesome job Emilie!!
