Yes & he noticed his different meows & moods. That says a lot about him😊 and that he is responsible and very attentive and will definitely notice signs if his cat gets sick or needs to see a vet. I wonder if he is or has taken Animal Behavior Class. I took it & loved it ! You get to learn a lot about other animals, and it actually helps you with your pet because it teaches you what to observe & how & what each behavior means. Also learned cool & funny facts about animals.

It's great that he noticed the difference in moods, but when my cat is is a mood like that, it's the perfect time to fuck with her. She may be a little rough, but it's also when she's most playful.
The snoring got me. I had a marmalade cat who would snore like that. One day when he was snoring particularly loudly, I recorded it on my phone as a voice memo. He passed away at the ripe old age of 18, but I still have that memo, and listening to it always makes me smile.

I'm glad he was so good at learning Cheese's body language! We call the "airplane ears" the "owl face." The fact that my kitty is a tortie with huge eyes adds to the effect.

Getting your cat a pet
Indeed, but not all cats can accept a new cat or dog… you really need to be very cautious here. Chance are the old cat gets so angry and starts urinate in place you don’t want, or the new cat is way too dominant and makes the old cat stressed and depressed. The owner just got lucky that the two cats got along
I think the same at first and I adopt one more and one more (also rescue cat) and now we have a new 4 cat for my old cat in the past 2-3 year, and my old cat is like "I fxcking need alone time" 😂 well
He lucked-out as a first-time cat-dad and managed to score the best cat for a first-time cat-dad -- one that craves human attention but also likes its personal space!
Yup my first cat is very weird. Always hiding on first few weeks and then eventually became more confident but the confidence comes from me letting him outside, since then the cat just kept leaving the house whenever and then comes back to eat then leaves again 😅

This young man has won my heart. It's obvious how much he loves Cheese, & he made it even better by bringing Bagel home so Cheese would have a little buddy to pal around with when dad's occupied with work or whatever. Cheese is so cute but OMG Bagel looks like a plush kitten doll. These are two of the cutest cats ever and their dad is adorable too. Dad may not realize how intuitive and sensitive he is to know that Cheese really could benefit from a sibling. After Cheese gets over his jealousy, you see the two kitties are bonded. Now if Dad has to go away for a few days he can do so without worrying about lonely Cheese. A PetCube or Blink cam can help him to keep en eye on them if he can’t leave Cheese in charge 😂

I'm a first-time cat mom. My boys will be 1yr old next week. I'm so glad I adopted them. They're brothers with a strong bond. Always get two cats instead of one. Cats are social creatures and need companionship. ❤❤❤

I've integrated cats three times, and it always starts out that way. Eventually, they come to love each other, like these two.

You can't just put two random cats together and expect instant harmony between them. You have to introduce the new cat to the resident cat slowly and correctly so they can get accustomed to each other's presence, get used to each other's scent and build up trust between them. Cats are also territorial by nature so they won't usually take kindly to "intruder" cats they are not familiar with. However most cats would probably prefer company/companionship of another cat they are familiar/friendly with vs being left completely alone. It does depend on the individual personality of the cat, as there are some that simply will not tolerate other cats (or won't get along with specific other cats) no matter how hard you try to get them accustomed to the other cat(s).

Orange cats are the best
They are very smart! Both of my gingers, one who passed and my current boy, played fetch, were very talkative and pretty large cats. Very loveable!

All Cats Matter
They really are! My ginger boy is the most affectionate, most playful (loves springs, hairties, and ping pong balls). He's the most talkative cat I've ever been around. He loves cuddles at any time of the day. Oh, and he snores! Dont forget about being food motivated 😂😂. They're too adorable. Well, all cats are (and all animals).
You picked yourself a couple of great kitties. The most affectionate cats I’ve had have been male orange tabbies. You’re doing great even if this is your first time being a pet dad.
How my orange tabby is absolutely dickhead. 😂 I pick him up to give kisses sometimes.
I have one now and it is the first cat I've had that likes getting belly rubs. The other two would attack you if you touched their stomach.
My orange and white cat was obsessed with me.
My partner has three cats and the orange tabby immediately adopted my lap as her only seat as long as I'm there. ❤
I have an orange as well, Watson (his brother Holmes passed), and he’s super sweet and affectionate and he always gives me head butts which I absolutely adore! He’s also a chatterbox too like Cheese and I love it! You sir are an amazing first time cat dad and those babies are in great hands❤
My pets helped me get through a lot growing up. I remember when I had to put my childhood cat down. He was about 15 or so. We got him when we was around one year old and he was a stray that we took in. (We did check for a chip and put up lost cat posters everywhere for 3 months. No response.) He was very loving and even though he would always want his own space when ever I needed him he was their. So one day I came home from work with cat shit all over the basement. Mother crying as she doesn't know what's wrong. He hates the carrier would do anything to not go in. So when we put the towel in their and he just got in and was like lets go. It made my heart sink. We took him to the vet and they checked him out. said he is on his way out and doesn't have long. We decided to just put him down and let him go in peace to make sure his passing was as painless as possible. He was always their for me and actually helped me when I was so depressed I actually attempted suicide. He helped me get through the dark times so I knew I had to be their for his. I held him as they put the ejection in. I watched as his soul went up to heaven to wait for me. Everyone I talk to always says theirs no way they could ever do that and ask if it messed me up and messed up my head? I always respond with theirs no way I could not have done it. He was their for me so i had to be their for him. Going home and cleaning up the last of the poop, picking up the toys, putting his bed and toys in a box. It was heart wrenching. A few days later I have what I think is a dream were I'm sleeping and I wake up to my cat on the bed, and he thanked me for what I did and that he is happy in heaven with our old dog mocha (They where best friends). My parents wanted to wait till we got another pet. They wanted to wait 6 months but it was only a month later when a friend of my moms at work showed her these 2 kittens at his animal shelter. They stood out to my mom extremely. So when she got home she showed them to me and my dad and we immediately got in the car and went over. We get into the room full of kittens and the 2 we saw online came right to us. The others wanted nothing to do with us. They are brothers. We decided to take them both home with us. We asked if they had any other siblings and the lady said the mom gave birth at the shelter and she had 3 but one didn't make it. That was 3 years ago. Today we call them Goose and Maverick and they bring so much joy to our life. I love them both. They play and case each other, they look out the window together. They are both very affectionate.
Cats are absolute angels when they have the right temperament.
There was a feral cat who had a litter and her kittens were just like her, friendly and sweet. We adopted one of them (there were 2 boys left) and the guy who brought in the mom adopted the other.
Sonny is our sweetest cat. Always happy, playful, etc. He doesn't meow, he squeaks. He's a year old now. Everyone loves that little guy. He's more social with other animals than humans, but he is very affectionate with his people. He always squeaks when he enters my room to announce his presence.
Our other boy cat has horrible separation anxiety with Sonny and he cries and needs held when Sonny is napping

@@ramonjoseph Give it time, Ramon. And you don't need to change yourself either physically or socially. That would be ridiculous. You want to be with people who respond positively to the level of humanity you are at and muscles/gregariousness will not help with that.
However, youngun, there is nothing intrinsically wrong with knowing you are 'single'. So many people go through life imagining they are connected, just because they have a significant other, only to realise too late that we are all essentially alone. Then starts the REAL connection (the one that usually doesn't feel truly reciprocal). Dressed up whichever way - inter human relationships are usually about helping each other to not get eaten (metaphorically - mostly). So, love who and what you love and don't be shy about it. Accept that it may well be a one way street but that doesn't impact on what's sacrosanct (what you feel).
Like the cat - you don't love the cat for it's obedience or even for reciprocal affection. It's unlikely to ever do what you want or expect. It's intangible. Sometimes, though, the cat is contented and that makes you content and THAT is love and the best that any human can hope for.
This baby is such a blessing! I am ALL about an affectionate kitty!

Rescues are the best, you truly know you have helped save a little life (or 2 in my case, brother and sister).
There's no doubt to be had. If you're a good cat mama, every cat you welcome will be a blessing. Even if its old and in need of a peaceful rest or young. Every second is precious to the cat in your care. Death doesn't have to be painful, it can be with someone that loves cats, and that's all a cat can wish for.
I once lost young birds I had left outside when I went to school, and they got caught up in heavy rain, and either died that day or later from hyperthermia. And from that day on I told myself that I'd never keep a pet again. There's been family pets over the years, but none of my own choosing. I don't think I'll ever be brave enough to set myself up for that kind of heartbreak again. So I sort of understand where you come from, but also commend you for considering owning another cat.

Moody sometimes? 😊 it takes time. When you bring in another one that too takes time. They will end up being inseparable. They are REALLY talking to you! This guy knowing he has an affectionate cat that also wants his own space too is such a great look into how much he cares for cats and understands them. Sometimes, people really want an affectionate cat to be affectionate and agreeable for being cuddled and held all the time and then think the cat is mean for wanting to be left alone 😭 It's so lovely to see when people really get it

My cat Mashka (means little sister in my husband's native tongue) is the most clingy baby ever. But when she wants space she gives us the ears too, we call them attitude ears, she plops her sassy self down and looks at us like she's the queen and we're her peasants to do her bidding, which, let's be honest, we are in fact her peasants 😂😂😂😂

AWWWWW you're such a great cat Dad. You've learned all of Cheese's little meows and what each of them mean. That's fantastic. I have a cat named Lilly. I call her my Lilly Bug and I know all of her different meows. She has one when she wants lifted into the sink for a drink....one when she wants to go out...a different one for when she needs in my basement to use her litter box and she doesn't like anyone down there when she has to go to the bathroom. What an absolutely delightful story! And kudos to you for realising Cheese needed a kitty companion. People often think cats are solitary animals but most of them are not. Our pets often save our emotional lives : they somehow sense when things are out of kilter within us and come and just BE with us. Plus they give us a reason to get up out of bed because we know they depend upon US for food, for water, for care. You're a lovely young man.
