It might be a small thing, but i always liked hearing your character's name upon selecting them. That and other voice overs and sound effects add to the experience. You don't get that in all versions
I see this version is way better than the Mega Drive i was used to play, its has some more voice effect, example on the fatality there was no voice on mega drive. Maybe im wrong.
What a fight you had with reptile. 🦎 he was quite a tough challenge for you huh? You suffered your first defeat by him. But you would not be denied your triumphant victory as you beat him in a stalemate matchup. Good job 👏🏻👏🏻👍🏻👍🏻✊🏻.

10:05 what the he’ll was that all about? Also I’ve played the living forest before and I’ve seen smoke peak from behind the trees before. Has anyone else ever seen that?
It happens at random, on *very* rare occasions, that Smoke or Jade pops up like that. The sentences that pop up are (allegedly) hints on how to get to their secret fights. I say "allegedly" because they are so vague as to be almost completely useless in actually figuring out the requirements. If you want to know how to fight these characters, read on: These secret fights always use the highest AI difficulty, regardless of what the actual setting is on. Smoke: on the stage with the portal in the background, get Dan Forden to pop up and say "Toasty" (occasionally happens upon landing an uppercut) and press down+START before he goes back off of the screen. Smoke in this game is basically a faster version of Scorpion with a smoke effect coming off of him. Jade: in single-player mode, win the fight that comes before the "?" symbol using only low kicks. In this game, Jade is a faster version of Kitana who cannot be hit by projectiles. Good luck! Noob Saibot: Win 50 two-player matches in a row. Noob in this game is a pitch-black version of Scorpion (this coloration can cause him to blend in, so be careful). Noob is also the only secret fight of the three to not have any hints of his own, so the only thing that suggests his existence beforehand is that fact that both Smoke and Jade have "I am one of three" as one of their hints.
Debería salir para Nintendo switch y también el umk3, será que si llegue a salir en el emulador de snes en Nintendo switch online, porque ya está killer instinct
They didn't create the actors in this game because before MK2 was released in 1994, some of the actors filed a lawsuit against Midway due to unpaid royalties and using their likeness without their consent. The cases were ultimately thrown out in 1996.

Kintaro and Goro kinda scared me when I was a kid. I think it was just how creepy and real they looked to me on the SNES back then.
Both are Miniatures, all the Others are real Actors! But, yes, they looked creepy back then...
The best one of the series, enough said!!! I love pulling off Reptile, Sub-Zero, & Kitana's dirty combos!!!!
Es,sigue y seguirá siendo el mejor
Mortal Kombat
Sin ninguna duda.
Siempre me dio miedo este Mortal Kombat, la intro, las pantallas, la voz que presenta las peleas y ni hablar de Shao Kahn y Kintaro...
Fue mi favorito
When I was younger, this version was perfect enough for me to practice at home so I could play and pass the arcade version in public.
lol I love when subzero does that ice trick and the guy unaware of ice on the ground then slides into a fist lmao classic shit
Subzero was my favorite! He had the best moves! But I never knew his fatalities when I was younger; only kitana’s and mileena’s
Dude the memories on the snes 😭. Especially donky Kong or clay fighter

For the Sega Genesis/Sega Mega Drive: Mortal Kombat 1.
For the Super Nintendo: Mortal Kombat 2 and Ultimate Mortal Kombat 3.
And for the Sega Saturn, PS1/PS one and Nintendo 64: Mortal Kombat Trilogy.
Dustin Nunn Correction.. UMK3 was best on Arcade, or on PS2. SNES had too many limitations.
MK3 (non ultimate): Mega Drive
For N64 I would say Mortal Kombat 4. I haven't played MK Trilogy but my understanding is that it was just MK3 with the characters of the whole trilogy, I didn't like MK3 in SNES, and I remember MK4 as something closer to MK2
I don't recommend playing any MK game on a CD based system (Saturn/PS1/PS2). The loading times were atrocious! Use either MAME or N64.
Dustin Nunn Trilogy sucked on the Saturn and N64.
Everybody waits Kimtaro on the corner just to kill him 😂
Can't do that on Sega. Damn
Mortal Kombat II is the best one!

i love that the death screams are particularly omitted in this version.
Very good play through, as a kid I could only get to Kintaro and then only as Mileena.
Still looks good and is fun to play. Timeless klassic. In the snes version the sprites look smoother and better compared to genesis and amiga.
It might be a small thing, but i always liked hearing your character's name upon selecting them. That and other voice overs and sound effects add to the experience. You don't get that in all versions
Shao Kahn's voice was one of the best things about MK2.
16:37 so that’s what that question mark box meant. I always wondered that.
them trees man, they still make my skin crawl
Shao Khan QUOTES:
"You weak, pathetic fool.... aww too easy" (intro)
"You will die Mortal"
"Is that your best”?
I laughed when he said "you suck!" in mk3 😄
All too easy *
While the crappy Genesis version only had “You will die”. The only quote they included, but still managed to screw it up and left out “Mortal”.
