You managed to disconnect the upper left quadrant of tungsten plate production by overriding the underground pipes with straight pipes (where you had to go under the robo hub). At least the mistake was still there in the outro, left-hand on the last shot, maybe you've found it already 😁
Gotta say I've been watching Nilaus for years and I love the excitement in his voice of all of the space age related content and make's me even more excited for all the content to come.
As far as I remember from the FFF and what I've seen so far. Fluids in pipes are unlimited throughput. The only limiting factor now is the distance, once you go past that 250x250 area the stop working and you need a pump to get them further. So basically now it's just pumps themselves that limit fluid as a pump can only push a certain amount of liquid through the pipe.
but you can add pumps in parallel to increase the throughput again. Say you have a pipeline transporting 2400 l/s of water. A pump can only do 1200. So just put two pumps side by side, each pressurizing half the amount, and you're good.
I really like the idea of each planet having its own specialisation, something you could do on Nauvis if you wanted but it's way better and easier to just do it offworld and ship the product instead. I can't wait to see Fulgora, I've been excited for the uncrafting systems since they were teased.
I just got to know this channel yesterday, And I got to tell you that I am absolutely loving it!!!! I already watched all the previous episodes and no this one. Thank you kind soul. @@DackelDelay i did a similar thing in a large modpack i built a long time ago that had all sorts of processes that would produce waste, but that the waste could be used for something or another...i'd craft something with it to use up most of the resources, essentially compressing the items and then trash the unneeded results. Sure, you're using "energy" to compress stuff, but when the alternative is using multiple belts just to trash stuff, it's far easier to use the resources to craft something and then trash the result.

You don’t need to export calcite, you need it in small enough quantities elsewhere that you could totally just build a space platform and get it from asteroids
Ooooh! That's what i was hoping for! Calcite seems like important resource, and having it so limited - felt abit limiting my plans for build Thanks for spoiler, but a good one!
The why two modules post was a machine affected by a beacon with speed modules :) so it was not at the 80% limit but the question was still not really needed because you probably just forgot to update the modules after adding the beacon.
The developers made a really weird decision not to allow players to make sulphur from sulphuric acid. Some quick napkin chemistry says that you should be making Calcium Sulphate from your water production so the sulphur is still there.
on stream, tungsten carbide wasn't used for too much. tungsten plate is the one that's really needed. if moving entirely to turbo belts, you're going to be using _tons_.
@@LimitlessBobby I think I'm gonna keep going because the DLC is coming out in 2 days. I already spoiled myself on Vulcanus, but there's now way he'll get too deep into Fulgora or Gleba before we all get our hands on it. And there's the last planet too, I don't even remember its name since I didn't read its FFF and just looked at the teaser video.
I had to put four foundries making molten iron on the iron gears build. Looks like they updated it since you made the video. Casting iron gears now takes 80 molten iron per second where as your video shows only 40 molten iron per second.
Okay, right after making this reply, I went and forced steam to update my game. I didn't think that would matter because I assume when you made this video you were playing on an earlier build before public release. WELL GUESS WHAT? Patching fixed it! LOL. Guess this was a bug that was introduced after you made this video but before the current update. Ugh!
wonder how long it will take for him to notice he never got the stone out of the tungsten production so it not been working for most of the ep Edit: ah fixed it at the 20 min mark or so
Does anyone else have difficulty telling the new belts apart from yellow belts? The colour difference is so slight, new belts should be purple:). Hopefully someone releases a mod changing the colour to something easier to see.
If they were purple I wouldn't be able to tell them apart from the blue. And I suspect there will be far more cases where blue belts interact with the new ones than yellow belts do. And the bigger speed difference also makes them pretty obvious when in use. That said, adding a visual difference beyond colour would be a nice and helpful thing, for example they could make the rails on the edges of the belts look different.
Bdw you dont need to compress stone, the lava acts as a item sink (with a inserter), also i belive that pipes have unlimited throughput now, so why do you cast stuff onto belts instead of moving molten metal directly where its needed?
That delete 🗑is so close to the close ❌. I'm certainly not going to hit that nearly every time I try to close the space platform hub menu. Is it the same Cliff that does the Notes as does the Explosives? Two. More. Sleeps.
I know the substation grid is optimal because you have no power dead spots, but i just hate how it looks. Much perfer the use of power poles with substations where they are super needed for dence areas.
I suspect (but of course could be wrong) that city blocks don't work as well because of the pools of lava. It might also not be that great on some of the other planets for similar reasons. I think later on there are foundations you can make that you can use to fill in the lava which might make them viable in the late game.
Your production is usually so nice looking, but you messed up the pipe on the west side because of a roboport, and you chose to bring in lava on the top and bottom, ruining the "modular" approach imo. Also, you forgot to deal with the stone by-product on the first build. Identifying a use for the stone by-product on volcanus would be ideal. Honestly though, your build are so nice that I don't really care that there are minor mistakes. Your videos are great and you are a huge help!

the landfill / stone-compression method for solving belt capacity on the trash line was a clever move ;)

Having to go to another planet to get cliff explosives was a significant change in the game.
Continually intentionally getting spoiled gang rise ✊
We’re 1 day away at this point, does it matter?

Whats spoiled?
FIX tungsten production - missing underground pipe on left side past roboport
loving the videos, looking forward to playing in a couple of days
I was about to sleep. Well
I guess 40mins less sleep
Won’t hurt.

Ooo, new fluid system? I've not been watching the update logs, didn't realize that was coming.
I found that nukes were a short cut to cliff explosives without leaving nauvis
I'd consider these videos self spoiling if it weren't for the fact that I had already watched tons of Factorio videos before I started playing it.
Same here, though your comment made me stop the video. As much as I love this content I'd rather discover save some discovery for myself

I am unreasonably excited for cliff explosives.
Edit: I was not disappointed.
I was, I was expecting him to use the deconstructor to highlight his base and deconstruct all the cliffs in one shot....
you broke the lefthand side pipe delivery for the tungsten smelting line.
I imported recyclers from Fulgora to get rid of all that stone and you tell me i could just dump it into lava 😂
Nilaus, the question about the two efficiencies is because you didn't use prods or speeds.

should have gone with white or black.
Game already supports colorblindness in settings y'all
@ThatOliveMrT it's not a matter of colour blindness, it's the similarity of the colors and the bland opaque filter on top of that.
Well, if it's not a real Bus, just call it a Minivan 😂😂
Personally, I would leave the factory here for now, and leave to go get other planets' techs. Scaling can come later, when you have those.

does this mean that fluids are fixed such that nuclear power is scalable now?
yes. thats the major reason behind the fluid changes
Bro you need to make a Legendary module blueprint / farm so you can go hyper with the productivity
This is naturally something you do only when you get to Fulgora.
I don't think there's enough calcite throughput for tungsten production. The requester chest needs to be set to several stacks.
