I remember when I first started the channel and simming, using the mouse as the yoke in the default 737 in fsx, sometimes the simplest things are the best.
@@aaryankc3344 If you have a controller (PlayStation or Xbox) you may be able to use that as a controller when connecting it via usb or Bluetooth. You can buy a yoke or a simple joystick that work great! If not you can use a mouse and keyboard, if I remember correctly the mouse controls the pitch and roll axis (pull the mouse back you pitch up, push the mouse forward and you nose down, move mousse left you roll left and vice versa.) If you go into the controls menu in fsx you will be able to see what your controls are set as and what certain keys do on your keyboard. I would highly recommend a joystick/yoke depending on your budget and it makes it much easier to fly the aircraft. :)

Left hand uses R & T for right and left rudder :)
my configuration for planes in any games or simulators : w - down s - up a - rudder left d - rudder right q - bank left e - bank right shift - throttle up ctrl - throttle down x - toggle spoilers mode
That is what I used for years. In terms of realism it isn't the best especially on cross wind landings. But it gets the job done. I only recently started using a game controller, helps with the finer control elements and I will be buying a proper joystick this year.
honestly if u dont have anything i would fully recomend just getting a logitech 3d pro joystick u can get them extreamly cheap esspessially second hand. My first one was only 15 bucks second hand. It will give u much more imersion and is leaps and bounds better than mouse

I used to use a mouse and keyboard for FSX and P3D, and due to the mouse yoke system there as well as the flight physics, it was actually quite do-able. However, when I switched to X-Plane 11, it's nearly impossible and really difficult due to the more complex flight physics, not to mention, fly-by-wire aircraft such as the FF A320U and ToLiss A321 don't work without a joystick.
maroon Zibo handles fine at least. The mouse yoke plugin helps a little. The default C172 is probably a nightmare to roll down the runway. Already is with pedals.
I used to use the steam controler to fly FSX. The gyro inside was useful in that you could tilt the controller forward and back for your pitch up and down and turn it left and right for bank.

I am guessing that you have the choice of airplanes when you begin. What airplane would you recommend for a total beginner to keep from getting discouraged at the start?
Yeah there's a nice range of aircraft. I would recommend maybe a Piper Cub. Very simple panel to get used to flying with. Maybe a little more tricky to land, being a tail dragger. Other than that, I would also recommend the steam gauge Cessna 172. It's a trainer aircraft, easier to takeoff and land, but a more complex panel than the cub.
I've been messing with the x plane demo and I'm hesitant to buy in. I can't control the Cessna 172 with my mouse and Keyboard. Very frustrating.. argh:(

Hello from Ron Kolesar, AKA The Blind Pilot. Would you please do a demo of the up coming MSFS via the keyboard for we blind pilots who need to see via our ears since our eyes don't work? Also, I would love some assistance on the following project please. Also, I'd appreciate some assistance looking for the following. I'm attempting to untie myself and other BVI Pilots like my self from the keyboard with USB flight yokes/joy sticks and throttles and rudder petal sets that will work with force feedback. A program for you to stress test out with USB external equipment is as follows: Three-D Velocity or TDV for short. It can be found out on: www.github.com Simply set up an account and do a search for Three-D Velocity and down load it and install it. The Three- D Velocity program's manual tells us that it will work with a unit with say only twelve buttons on it. We'd like to see a unit with say somewhere in the neighborhood of say, around twenty buttons on the flight yoke/joy stick if at all possible. Also, we'd like the unit to be able to support at least force feedback and other sensory features like shock feedback and so on, if at all possible as well. The reason why I was looking for say twenty buttons is because we'd like the USB external equipment to not only work with the flight simulator programs, like the new up coming MSFS, TDV of course, P3D 4 and 5 and withbut as many hand to ear audio clue coordination games as well. try landing a p51d in a 36 knots crosswind with severe turbulence using the mouse yoke and keyboard rudder. the mouse yoke is terrible at doing crosswind challenges.

I find it turns like crazy when I press the keys to pitch and that. I turn and it decides to do a barrel roll in a 747. Any advice appreciated

You can always use a ps4/Xbox controller if you have one. Found it a little more enjoyable with controller+keyboard

Generally CTRL+E if you want auto start. But you might have to map it. Sometimes it’s defaulted as that.

I've been flying FSX using the numpad in my laptop this whole whenever at the office. And it do a good in good weather. But for a xwind landing. it sucks

What mouse are you using? Have you tried adjusting the sensitivity settings?

@@Emir-g6o8c did you take it out of the zip file when you installed it? Is it not showing up in the plugins menu? I’m trying to figure out where the problem starts.
