For some reason the video cut off like 10 seconds early. Oh well, I'll just pretend like I'm purposefully leaving everyone in suspense for when Lizzie drops the full song...
Yo what's up Lucas!! Well done dude, the production sounds absolutely stellar :) thanks for the shout out, looking forward to what else you got cooking in the future.
So cool to watch you go through the whole process! I know nothing about music production but had fun pretending to know what you're talking about. The song is so beautiful, will definitely be waiting for Lizzie to release it 👀
Dude this song is seriously amazing and beautiful! Props to both of you, I really enjoyed you breaking down the production process and decisions you made. This will help other producers immensely. Great video 2 thumbs up!!!
thanks so much! honestly I just started making videos this year, so I'm incredibly happy with how my channel's grown so far! and super excited to keep making better and better videos :)
Love your channel so much. This kind of breakdown of obtaining different sounds while recording and editing is exactly what I’ve been looking for as I’m starting to record and edit music.
WOW! Blown away you 2. amazing. Can I ask, how did you do that ending degradation at the end of the outro where it kinds fuzzes out? Automated up Lossy on the master?
Honestly I don't consider myself much of a mixing and mastering engineer, but I've gotten a lot of these requests so might include more of it in future videos!
hey! I actually record everything with my iphone 14 camera. I'm looking to upgrade eventually but nowadays phones do a stellar job with the right lighting. You'll need to drop probably $3,000+ to get a noticeable increase in quality on a camera
Awesome video! Love your stuff. I get so much from the details of how you do things.... If anyone is out there who wants a closer alternative to Lossy that does almost the exact same thing for free (mp3 lossy style degradation) there's a pretty new plugin called "Maim" by Wildergarden Audio., I actually tend to use it more than Lossy these days.
I definitely hear that! although sometimes when Searows comes on my spotify I'm convinced I just discovered a new Phoebe song so I'll take that as a dub haha
Hey Lucas! Thank you for sharing this with us. Do you have Instagram? I’m an independent artist and would love to connect with you to discuss music production.

...which she now has! check the description for the link :)
Yo what's up Lucas!! Well done dude, the production sounds absolutely stellar :) thanks for the shout out, looking forward to what else you got cooking in the future.

LIZZIE YOU BETTER DROP THIS LIKE YESTERDAY
Amazing song, can't wait to hear more!
Lizzie...your page states, "why do i have 3 subs i literally don’t do anything"...because we're waiting.
your music goes hard
As a producer from turkey I feel TERRIFIED from how insane this production sounds. Great job! Its an honour learning from you.
Haha I don't mean to scare anyone!! But thanks so much, means a ton :)
This is incredible! Too many “producers” nowadays are just beat makers, you are a real producer and an incredible musician! Keep it up👍
I appreciate that a ton, thanks so much!

@ That is a great news. When are you dropping it?
I’m not 100% sure, I’m producing a song for a client in the video so it depends when he wants to release the song

Love your channel so much. This kind of breakdown of obtaining different sounds while recording and editing is exactly what I’ve been looking for as I’m starting to record and edit music.
Unbelievable ❤what I m searching for thank you
you're very welcome!
Honestly this is so sick. I hope so much in my next life this is the work I do.
amazing production and a fantastically unexpected Brighton and Hove Albion reference!
haha thank you! when I was editing I was like "why did I emphasize the word brighten so much..." and couldn't help myself
Awesome video. Would like to add Jon Meyer has just released a free rubber bridge sampled instrument, perfectly suiting this style.
I saw that, he released it like 2 hours before I posted this video haha! will definitely be checking it out, Jon Meyer is the goat
WOW! Blown away you 2. amazing. Can I ask, how did you do that ending degradation at the end of the outro where it kinds fuzzes out? Automated up Lossy on the master?
Yup exactly, that plus automating the tempo so it slows down! And youtube cut it off at the end haha
Great video! Keep up the amazing work!
HOLY COW!!!!! mega inspiring
thanks so much!
Hey lucas, I was just wondering if you could give us an insight about how you mixed and mastered this track? Sounding great, very cool video!
Honestly I don't consider myself much of a mixing and mastering engineer, but I've gotten a lot of these requests so might include more of it in future videos!
Great video. Very helpful. Could have just as easily been titled "Sound like Lizzie McAlpine." Love the song.
totally agree! definitely both in the same musical world
I need this to be released. So good.
Your videos are goated
appreciate it man :)
Fl studio hang let’s goooo
I laughed more than once while watching this, highly recommend 😁

Subscribed for your great video and for supporting a fellow Montrealer

🙌🙌 phoebe who
ikr!!
stg every lizzie/lizzy is OP at indie music
that's actually so true lol
love the song, and the part where the tripod falls so I no longer have to see your face!
love you becca
She sounds like Lizzy McAlpine and Phoebe Bridgers at the same time 🤯
yup totally agreed haha!
dude! you nailed this. omg! wtf!!
The part when the cam is just all blurry is really funny
haha I know I was dying when editing that part
that was the most inspiring music video ever thanks a lol im gonna go make a new music!
I'm so glad to hear that!!!
Hey bro, I'm also thinking of recording my song writing process like this. Wondering what camera you use to record yourself while working?
hey! I actually record everything with my iphone 14 camera. I'm looking to upgrade eventually but nowadays phones do a stellar job with the right lighting. You'll need to drop probably $3,000+ to get a noticeable increase in quality on a camera
wtf wasn't expecting the live strings, what a track
A fun one to do next would be Hozier1
Awesome video! Love your stuff. I get so much from the details of how you do things.... this is more searows
I definitely hear that! although sometimes when Searows comes on my spotify I'm convinced I just discovered a new Phoebe song so I'll take that as a dub haha

i’m sorry but this is lizzy mcalpine for me.
Hey Lucas! Thank you for sharing this with us.
