  • This video covers just about everything you need to know if you want to become a healer in The Elder Scrolls Online. Class, race, skills, etc. It also covers every campaign and game mode, although it focuses mostly on open world (Cyrodiil) group healing.
    It was created during Update 36 and also accounts for some of the changes in Update 37. While skills and classes may change, the general principles will largely still hold true beyond that.
    All footage recorded by me on PC/EU Ravenwatch and Gray Host between September 2022 and February 2023.

    A small heads-up for Update 37: as I anticipated in this video, synergies are now less relevant to group play, so feel free to invest in more healing-oriented skills/ultis unless your group specifically requests certain synergies.
    They have also hybridized weapon and spell power glyphs. Now both glyphs give both Major Sorcery and Major Brutality. The only difference is that the old weap damage glyphs now give a small amount of stamina recovery, while the old spell damage ones now give a small amount of magicka recovery. So just pick the one you prefer.

      I've also missed out on a few other good things, such as slotting Dual Wield (1x Nirnhoned Sword + 1x Powered Sword) on your burst heal bar for even stronger healing. This is slightly more challenging and primarily works on classes with good class heals such as Templar and Warden, but you can get much stronger stats this way.
      Recently, I theorycrafted a new Templar healing build for non-proc (Ravenwatch) for U38. If it performs as expected, I'll definitely do a video on it some time after Necrom drops.

    When I played ESO, I loved using a Nerco. So many under-used skills like the bone totem for a DR or used for fears in a group. The ghost summon to give more DR to the group. The rez and recovery ult is amazing!
    Run Elemental Catalyst. Get an easy 2/3 of the debuff on enemies with a staff and blast bones. Or even the graveyard skill to give that major debuff

    A very nice Video, i never saw a that good video about healer gameplay! Im playing now 6 Years main healer in pvp and know about all that stuff but its nice to see that there are other healers out there 😂👍🏻.

      I have to edit this massage 😂, I mean "But accualy I agree" a perfect video WoW you even say that a Singel target heal is useful in other situations like all Scale and Bg's. Im a small scale healer so most of the time I'm getting focus by a lot of people that's why I have on my back bar a single target burst heal for myself if it comes to hard situations for me, it's a must have for own survivability.

      I didn't use Radiating Regen anymore because every other heal over Time is Sadly stronger. I miss the time where that skill was good.

    • @Degonyte
      @Degonyte  Рік тому

      @@Chaos_Keks I still use it as it's cheap and easy to keep up in combination with other HoTs. It's not as powerful as it used to be, but I still often find it in my top 3 of most effective healing skills in ESOlogs. 😄

    Thank you very much for the video and explanation, my guild asked me to build a support warden, that had healing and damage, this helped me clarify some points, I used powerful assault on the back bar and on the daedric front bar for the buffs it gives in ultimate generation, in addition to bloodspawn and master frot staff. I would like to know the nord seen in the video, what kind of emote does he use? Since he looks really cool with the drinking horn, thank you very much for the answer.

    • @Degonyte
      @Degonyte  Рік тому

      Glad the video was of use! The Nord uses an emote that is simply called /drinkhorn. If I'm not mistaken it's from some old crownstore emote pack.

      Hey, thanks. You can simply edit the color and saturation of enemy aoe and your own hots by going to Settings -> Gameplay -> Combat. I am slightly colorblind so I just picked the 2 most obnoxious, opposite colors possible.

    ive been playing mmos for 15+ years and i have to say. healing is thee most stressful role you can play. it's far from easy. watching health bars while avoiding getting you back filleted off from an enemy assassin hoping someone gets him off of you so you can keep them alive.

    Cyrodiil - don't ignore speed, its amazing for defense and offensive support. Try medium armor 5 piece (gets you access to Elude for 20% AoE reduction), plus at least 1 swift jewelry piece. Blue CPs - swift renewal to boost HoTs, resiliance for crit resist is good, the other 2 up to you, can vary depending on class/skills to boost. Backbar can be double sword for extra SP to use on burst/ulti skills, with one of those being decisive trait. Nightblades can get good use out of mythic Pearls if you can handle the mini-game of keep resources low to generate ultimate. I find being a healer to be rewarding but it's the busiest role to play as you're active at any engagement.

    • @Degonyte
      @Degonyte  Рік тому

      Yeah, I currently run DW sword on my Templar healer and it's very nice. I switch back and forth between 3x Infused and 2x Swift/1x Infused depending on whether or not there is a speedbot in my group. I mostly heal on no-CP these days though, so the choice of usable mythics is limited.

      Hi just wondering how easy it is to survive by being in med instead of heavy would it be 5 med 2 heavy? Am currently working on warden argonian as my main healing for both contents but using all heavy atm

    • @Degonyte
      @Degonyte  11 місяців тому

      @@likes2playcatch844 I run 5 med, 1 heavy and 1 light. I believe this is the best option for any situation other than battlegrounds or smallscales (4-5 or less). In groups bigger than that, your survivability should come from cross-heals and positioning rather than tanking damage. In the end it's a matter of perspective, but I believe that if a healer ends up absorbing a big part of the damage, they're doing something wrong.

    • @likes2playcatch844
      @likes2playcatch844 11 місяців тому

      @Degonyte but in most cases on the front lines of battle you can't avoid taking damage even if your good at kiting you still take the brunt of all types of damages so if your running medium what sets?

    • @Degonyte
      @Degonyte  11 місяців тому +1

      @@likes2playcatch844 You can't avoid all damage but you can avoid a good portion of it comparative to the rest of your group. My philosophy for healers is to match the survivability of the DDs in my group (but do not exceed it).
      For example, in Ravenwatch I play in groups of 6-9 with 5x medium, 30.7k base health, 16k base resist and no vampirism. Most of our DDs have 34k base health or more, Vamp 3 and higher resistances. Still I am just as survivable as they are because I position myself outside of damage clusters while healing them, and blend into the group as soon as I am singled out. Over an entire run, I end up taking about 1-2 million less in damage than the DDs.
      I mainly play on Ravenwatch where I use Heartland Conqueror + Amber Plasm (I made a separate video on that build), but on proc-active servers it's entirely dependent on what the other healers/supports are running. Most of the time I'd probably run Powerful Assault with either Spell Power Cure or Robes of Transmutation. Ozezan monster set and Snow-Treaders. If you are completely alone it would probably be better to replace one of the sets with Wretched Vitality and use Dead Dealer's Fete as a mythic.
