    I bought the mh12 pro for my mom because she is a retired Tampa police officer of 36 years and she lives at home alone with three dogs in the middle of nowhere in Tennessee with limited sight. She needed something that was both user-friendly and powerful that she could spot potential threats from a distance away on her property that spanned over a acre. She's happy and safer now because of the mh12 pro, and I'm happy and proud that she's able to see and blind any potential threats that may come on her property. Nightcore is the only brand that I recommend, I personally own six variants of Nightcore flashlights and will never go back to the basics

      As a native Tennessean I can say this.. She is wayyyy safer in the "middle of nowhere" than in the four main cities here, and definitley more safe than living in Tampa. In most of the small towns here in middle TN it's extremely common for many people to just leave their keys in their cars half the time and not think twice about it. I think that's the perfect choice of light for your mom though.

    Can the proximity sensore be switched off?
    One of Nitecore's competitors had such a sensore on one of their models. During snow or heavy rainfall, the sensor kicked the output down because it detected the rain or snow as an obstacle.

    I considering get one of these as an airline pilot to perform my preflight checks at night. Would love to be able to get some hands on experience with them, since i'm not sure which would be the better light for me. Whether I would like the longer throw of the MH25 Pro or the wider hotspot of the MH12 Pro. And also whether I would be able to live with the slight green tint of the lights

    I’ve just bought the MH12Pro and love it. However, it gets very hot very quickly in high and turbo mode. Does the MH25Pro handle heat better than the 12Pro with its larger head? Thanks.

      Possibly making it a larger heatsink, but should be fine the amount of testing they do unless you not giving it a good chance to cool down after turbo

    With regards to sensor protection mode, some of us don't want it as heavy snowfall can activate it. Found this in the manual: when the flashlight is turned on with the sensor protection function activated, short press the mode button to deactivate it. To reactivate this fucntion, siply turn on the flashlight again.

    To me this would have been the perfect tactical edc if the user interface was slightly different:
    1. THE PROBLEM: for every time I want to turn the light on and change the brightness I need to adjust my grip, this is because the light turns on at the back and the brightness is adjusted at the side-switch. I get that this light is designed for the “forward grip” but why then do I have to turn the light on at the back?
    2. THE SOLUTION: Make the option to turn the light on using the side-switch: The side-switch should enable the user to use the “daily-modes” in a “forward grip”, then the back-switch should enable turbo/strobe in the hammer-fist grip for tactical situations
    Finally: I love almost everything about this light, I love the fact that it has a true moonlight mode (being able to adapt to all different situations is a part of being “tactical”).

    Hey there, thanks for the video! I just had to drop in and share my two cents about these Nightcore flashlights. If you're in the property management 👮 like me, you know that being prepared for anything is the name of the game. Let me tell you how these flashlights have been absolute lifesavers in my line of work.
    Late-night property checks? Emergency maintenance calls in the dead of night? Yeah, they're all part of the package. That's where these Nightcore flashlights come into play. They're like the superheroes of our toolkit, ready to save the day (or night) at a moment's notice.
    First things first, these lights are bright - like, light-up-the-entire-room kind of bright. When you're inspecting a property, whether it's a massive apartment complex or a cozy rental, you need to see every detail. These flashlights, packing 3,300 lumens🔥🔥, make sure nothing escapes your watchful eye. No more stumbling around in the dark, trying to decipher the mysteries of that creepy basement.
    Now, let's talk about runtime. The MH12 Pro's 4 hours and 30 minutes at 1,200 lumens? It's a game-changer. No more rushing to swap out batteries or dealing with a flashlight that goes dim when you need it most. These lights keep going strong, just like us property managers!
    The grip on these flashlights is legit. Climbing ladders, crawling into tight spaces, and handling emergencies - it's all part of the gig. With these grippy buddies, you won't be dropping your light or fumbling in the dark. They've got your back, so you can focus on getting the job done.
    And that proximity sensor? It knows when to dim down to 1,000 lumens, so you're not blinding yourself or anyone else in the process. It's all about working smarter, not harder.
    The battery indicator is a godsend. No more second-guessing if your flashlight will conk out on you. You can check the power level at a glance, so you're always in the know.
    In the world of property management, where surprises are the norm, these Nightcore flashlights are the reliable partners we've been waiting for. Whether you're dealing with a power outage, a sudden plumbing disaster, or just a routine property check, they've got your back. It's all about making our lives easier and properties better managed.🏢❤

    I have Nitecore MH12 before and one of the greatest advantages are one it's the slimmest 21700 battery powered flashlight. I like the 1800 lumens but 18650 is not sufficient. 21700 is a much better option runtime last much longer. Also MH12 use generic 21700 or Nitecore 21700. Either way you can choose between two brands of battery. I always keep spare battery. Proprietary 21700 from Nitecore that runs the i-series are expensive. I worked in construction and maintenance so I have to use light with different intensities. Inside the building you don't need that full 3000++ lumens. That's when the step down lumens is best. Also to conserve battery. Outside of the building you need that strong output.

    These should be made as a tactical flashlight with 1 handed operation and strobe ready features. It is disappointing why Nitecore didn't make it that way especially when the performance, both runtime and beam, just dominates something like the SRT7i. I hope these pro model performance gets integrated to the tactical lights soon. I am in the market for a nice, mixed beam tactical light with good runtimes.

    • @HelplessTeno
      @HelplessTeno 11 місяців тому +1

      This has a tactical mode that allows for instant strobe or turbo. But no one handed operation, you are correct. These are made to be more of an EDC light than tactical. They know they're getting beat by Olight and Streamlight for tac lights.

    As a forensics officer with SPF, a good torchlight is equivalent to god’s help especially in low light conditions when we are searching for forensics evidence. This torchlight would definitely be helpful in the recovery and preservation of forensics evidence found at scene by allowing us to be visually aware of the surroundings and not accidentally touch it under low lightings. Using just the handphone flash isn’t suffice as the light is not concentrated and cumbersome due to its bulkiness. After using MH25S, it is really a game changer and a worthwhile investment.. I hope I am able to win this newer series to continue in the recovery of forensic evidence at scene due to its monstrous capabilities 👍🏻

    Thanks you !

    • @Technician_One
      @Technician_One 5 місяців тому +1

      Nobody answered your question yet.
      Heat & cold are _both_ enemies of all battery technology. So far, anyway. If you have a desire to get the maximum life-span of your li-ion cells, or even ni-cads or ni-mh, then prepare to charge such at the low to medium charge amperage, mAh input. This keeps the cells cooler.
      _That_ is what you really want. Don't fall for the _quick-charge_ gimmick. That is a marketing ploy.. When more & more electric cars catch fire during _fast charging_ ... people will finally get wise.
      For our high-powered lights, the best advice that I can give for longer life is to get plenty of_extra_ batteries and charge them all low & slow, OUTSIDE OF THE FLASHLIGHT BODY.
      I do this & simply swap in the freshly charged cells as needed. Get a quality charger to accomplish your charging needs.

    • @NitecoreSG
      @NitecoreSG  Рік тому

      They’re both pretty similar, both mixed. The MH12S just has a cleaner tint at lower brightness. The MH12 PRO is not true white at lower lumens. Something they should fix in later versions

    Off topic but I'm liking the direction Nitecore is going with their proprietary LED units.
    I am still finding the EDC27's UI to be the best for my use case compared to the MH12SE and P20ix, EDC27 took the cake. If Nitecore can update the EDC27 for 2024 maybe the EDC27 Pro or something maybe put a single UHi with the same 3000 or upgraded 3300 lumens output but with even better battery life, I'd buy it instantly. It doesn't need the twin emitters like the twin SST40 just a single UHi emitter with the same output or better to keep the price in the same range as the older model it'll be perfect. But if they turn it into a tiny monster and make it spew out 6000 lumens for 10 seconds or for strobe I'll be happy too. Also I hope they add some sort of crenulation to the head to protect the lens.
    I'm already on my 2nd EDC27, the first one got lost while riding at night in the rain, probably slid out of my rain pants pocket and didn't notice it fall because of the hectic situation it's not the built-in clip's fault; it's my stupid unaware ass. Even if I just bought a second EDC27, I'll happily buy an updated one for next year IF EXISTS AND IF it comes out. It has nowhere to go but move forward and keep improving. As long as it's reasonably priced twin dual stage tail switches are simply *chef's kiss*.

    • @NitecoreSG
      @NitecoreSG  Рік тому

      Oh then you’re gonna be happy with the upcoming lineup! There’s 2 or 3 models based off improvements from the EDC27. Look out for them!

    Only Nitecore have the assortment of flashlight I encounter. They have every lighting solutions. From the flood P20iX, P10iX, MH12 compact 1800 lumens on a compact 21500 gemeric battery which is more commonly available. You also have the SRT series which is I think is really good. Especially the SRT7i. You have every control on the tailcap. You dont have to tap to keep adjusting the light itself.

    Why not keep the MH12/25 the same lumen output as the EDC33/35? I thought the EDC was just the tail light button version of the MH's

    Still miss a new version of my beloved SRT5. I used a MH12, the old version as an EDC for a while, but it wasn't for me. I want something multicolor that I can adjust in the dark without looking at it and get the correct color and brightness. But the MH12Pro does look like a feasible option

    I have both and they are great but the P20IX is the best for defense with 4k lumens but main reason is the instant strobe switch on the back and not on the side which takes longer to activate
