    I prefer this demo and comparo of these two lights over all others, and I've watched over 7 others. Crispy Things is real world honest integrity. I have purchased 2 other lights based on his reviews and have zero regrets.

    I've been using this light and it's been pretty good. The spill isn't great, but it also has less of a green tint. The exchange is that the throw is much further at lower levels, so you hardly ever need to use High mode. Low mode throw is already great for inspections. Having that longer functional run time is very convenient (claimed 50 hours on Low). Of course, I personally don't need much spill in the first place. YMMV.
    Size is decent for me. I don't really notice the larger head.

    I have this light, and it is almost perfect under all aspects; it is extremely efficient, the UI with two vertical lines of micro-LEDs resembles the very appealing light meters found in SLR cameras during the '80s. Threads, lens and anodising are perfect and the two rubber buttons are crispy and not mushy.
    There is one single detail about the MH25 Pro that I dislike: is the greenish tint of the UHi LED - when it is driven at the lowest levels.
    Great flashlight, kudos to Nitecore!

    I have the MH25 Pro, and they have springs on the front and back, the buttons on both ends are spring loaded.
    If you put the battery in without the tailcap, you can feel it when you push the back of the battery.

    • @rondobrondo

      yeh, but noticing that would actually take effort or more than 2 braincells, which this guy apparently doesn't have

  • @MechanicallyMusical
    @MechanicallyMusical 5 місяців тому +1

    There is a dual spring stacked inside the tail cap if you press down on the copper contact point inside you can tell they are just fairly stiff springs so most people dont even know it is sprung. The way the tail cap switch engages the battery on the MH series lights is fairly unique and difficult to explain if you haven't seen one completely disassembled.

    That MH25pro looks sweet. I carried the older version. It was a good all around light. Anything with over 500 meter throw was what I needed. I often carried 2 lights. One being a thrower.

    The Mh25 pro wouldn't have the spill of the mh12 pro. Mh25 designed for a tight hotspot. For edc I would take the 12 pro. As for a high 2, I don't think its needed as the 1200 lumen level is more than adequate, on my olight warrior 3, yes, a high 2 would be nice as it has an 800 lumen high and low candela.

    • @itanamullik
      @itanamullik Рік тому +4

      In my opinion the mh25 pro compleatly replaced the space of the olight warrior 3, the olight warrior 3's low mode is way to low to use for walking then the mid mode is just blinding for walking also the beam is wierd a large 3 stage hotspot (a hotspot with spill,not an eyeball. then a larger spill). The mh25 pro has a pretty high low mode but is perfect for walking, obviously it has a hot spot but the eyeball around the spot and spill in low mode is more than usable. Not tried the mh12pro but it looks too close a beam as the mh25 pro to get both

      I think you're always going to find different preferences; go by what you've preferred in the past; personally, I disliked the Pros green beam, so I gave it to my son-in-law and kept my MH25s; its whiter beam, and the fact it holds turbo three minutes or more in warmer ambient temps, rather than the 20 to 30 seconds for the Pro, made the MH25s a better suited for my needs.
      Now, my son-in-law has zero issues with the Pros beam, and living in a cooler climate gives him more turbo time.

    • @ChrispyThings

      The tail screws down on top of the battery and keeps it in place. If the light is jostled there could be a flicker due to the battery not making contact with the terminals

    Depends what style of light you like, wider or tighter beam or what you need. When you search for something close to you, you use wide emitter, when you search for something more far away, you use tighter beam, so simple. Both flashlights are useful and worth the money. All the LED flashlights worth their money, we don't talk about the very cheap. But all the flashlights from brands that are dedicated flashlights makers worth their money. The differences are in the lumens, the candela, the led technology, the emitters, what batteries they use, and the overall quality. That's my experience. If we talk about these two specific flashlights depends what emitter you like the most. Me i like the long throw beam flashlights, but if is to long throw is not the best always, you need also a wider spread light. That's why if you have money you buy more flashlights to have more options. Personally i like the Multi Task HYBRID series and i have the MH25GTS and after this video here maybe i will buy the MH25 PRO because of the longer throw and more lumens compare to my MH25GTS. By the way, very nice video man, good job.

    Hey Chris!
    I'm wondering how you got to where you are now - I've just started a UA-cam channel about reviewing LED torches and the goal is to get Nitecore and/or other brands to send me torches to review. Presumably you applied to review that torch, and then they sent it to you.
    My question is what did you do to get to the point where companies send you torches to review? In other words, how did you get to where you are now? I've heard things like "you need heaps of subscribers" and "you need to upload x number of videos first", but I would really appreciate a bit of guidance from someone who has done this before.
    Thanks heaps,

      @JohnDoe-zg6fn Рік тому +2

      @@twosix_00 I have both and I love the 7i. The reason I choose the 7i over the 23 is simply because of the control I have over the light. I can dial in the exact amount of light I want and do it very quickly with the ring. With the 23i it is set to those preset light outputs choices. Also, the ring is nice because I can lock out the light and quickly unlock the light with a simple twist, you can't do that with the 23. The 7i also seems much much brother and can throw further than the 23. The only problem I have with the 7i, which really isn't a problem, is the size. I can fit it in my front pocket no problem I just wish it was more slim like the 23 but again it isn't really a big deal to me because of all the other features and power the 7i have over the 23. Also the 7i can stay in turbo for much longer than the 23 and it doesn't heat up the same like the 23 does. Hope this info helps you out.

Comparing performance, the SRT7i produces about 30,000cd more and with its longer head produces a tighter beam that is brighter and throws further. If I wanted more spill in a thrower, I would have bought the P23i, for a thrower, the P23i has good spill. But for better throw performance I went with the SRT7i.
