These new designs of the base of the tank are in contrast to the legged one I had from Craftsman that lasted 19 years. Now I gotta jigger some pipes and I’m starting to think I should just use 1” pex so I get some flexibility. I only have like 14” from the feed to the tank inlet/outlet.

Water worker is made by Am Trol for the big box stores and are not recommended. The authentic Am Trol tanks come with like a 7 year warranty compared to a year on the Water Worker.

Help! The company that installed my tank 15 years ago installed the drain way above the bottom of my tank. The diaphragm is blocking the air valve. How the f#ck do I drain it?? Can't even move it to replace it!! Any help would be appreciated!! Do I drill a hole in the bottom of the tank to drain it??

Galvanic corrosion will occur with copper and galvanized steel

Let's say it so people get an understanding of what you are saying, "There is a problem with copper and galvanized piping are joint together, some people says Brass is ok but that's not ok either, when connecting copper and galvanized pipes you should use a "Dielectric Union which will allow you to connect the pipes without the 2 touching each other and will not allow a breakdown or a reaction.

That "1-14"x3/4" adaptor" should be Brass! to defeat electolosis... and it's called a "bushing".

Keep in mind if you are replacing your tank the bladder is likely leaking and there will be lots of water in the air space above the bladder so not only will the tank be heavy but it will be top heavy and awkward to move. Normally there would be a drain valve down at the same level as the inlet into the pressure tank (usually of the tank tee withe the relief valve and pressure switch) so that you can drain the tank completely before moving it. If your bladder has been leaking it may take a bit of time for all the water to drain out of the tank.

I had to replace my tank the gauge and the pressure switch but have old copper lines and old unions were on there. I replaced the unions and the t along with the gauge the switch and the tank. I taped all the threads but I can’t get the unions to stop leaking any tip? I feel this is why I have no pressure still

You are telling pure fact truth, they gave me the same price, I can go to Home Depot and buy 6- 32 gallon well tanks for $1,500, seriously I did not need them to install it, I always change them myself for less than $300.00 $250.00 to be exact, it's a real shame that these companies are so hog hungry to take advantage of people and not have a conscious about it! There is one thing you should not do, do not directly connect copper pipe with Galvanized pipe. Dielectric unions would be in order.

I have a proflo new as of 2015 I am guessing 44 gallon one so watch should the pressure be on the tank and at the pressure gage . If you use brass can you use a steel coupling for the turn off valves . I was always told brass to brass . The one turn off valve to the house broke and emptied the pressure tank int my crawl space and glad now crawl space is 7 feet deep and all I hd to replace it was a steel coupling with a brass turn off valve and now thinking I should replace the turn off valve with a new one also since it needs backflushed . I wanted am trol but could not get one any where here so went to fergusons and got the proflow one and new switch and everything The tank the well driller put in was to tiny for this house hoping someone can answer this soon

Look on the inside cover of your pressure switch. If it’s for example, a 40/60 psi, then set the pressure tank to 38 psi. Brass is always best for fittings to prevent galvanic corrosion. The bigger the pressure tank, the better because it means you’re well pump will not have to turn on as often.
