In this episode we take a look at some facts, secrets, and history of Nintendogs. Nintendogs is a pet simulation game by Nintendo for the Nintendo DS. It was originally released in three different versions: Dachshund & Friends, Chihuahua & Friends, and Lab & Friends (Shiba & Friends in Japan). It has been re-released twice, with a special edition Nintendo DS with a new version called Nintendogs: Best Friends, and later as Nintendogs: Dalmatian & Friends. Nintendogs received critical acclaim and has won many awards. As of March 31, 2015, all versions of Nintendogs combined have sold 23.96 million copies worldwide, making it the second best selling DS game behind New Super Mario Bros.

Oh, there he is, Shadow (i was younger okay) just sleeping there all dirty and hungry. I decided to give it away to a friend's cousin, she even thanked me for that and still plays it daily... I'll remember you, buddy. I'll get another Mario Kart item for you on +cats one day...

PETA 2011- hated Nintendo over a Tanooki suit power-up in an unrealistic platformer game.

So I got this game a while back, and my dog is trapped in a never ceasing purgatory of death and destruction. Let me explain. My sister used up all of my cash on hats. However I would then have no money for food or flea repellent. So my dog begins to starve. the only way to earn money is to win dog shows. But because my dog is covered in fleas he cannot participate. I could find money randomly on walks but my dog is too weak to do so. So my dog has pretty much been reduced to Schrodinger's dog. In a constant state of living and starving to death without cease as it whimpers to me in it's Luigi hat. RATED E FOR EVERYONE.

One time when I was younger I got a DS and the person that gifted it had also gotten me Nintendogs. Up to that point in my life, I'd never had a pet aside from a guinea pig. I was so hyped about the game. I played with my golden lab every day, and he loved me. Then one day I went out with my friend and brought my DS like always, but at some point I'd left the game cartridge in my pocket. It wasn't until the end of the day I realized I had lost my nintendogs game.
I straight up cried about it, and for a couple weeks felt like I had actually lost something important to me. Eventually I told my mom about it, and she even offered to get me another copy. But I never did. I never got over my poor lost pup. Well, in video game form anyway. Quite happy years later with my two cats.

For instance, I'm a wrestling fan, so I really respect WWE for all the charity work they do with sick children and anti-bullying campaigns. On the other hand, I think all the movies they make are godawful garbage. See how that works? Not fucking complicated.

I recently dug out my old DS and found my Nintendogs card and started playing it due to this video that popped up in my recommended. I also found Animal Crossing, all my Mario games (Super Mario 64, Mario Cart, Mario and Luigi: Partners in Time, and Yoshi’s Island,) Horse Life, Animal Planet’s Vet Life, Ubisoft’s Dogz, and Happy Cooking. Even though I have much newer games with better graphics, I truly honestly enjoy playing my old DS games more. Thank you for making this video. I’ve felt a lot less stressed now playing games like Animal Crossing instead of games like Overwatch.
So every time Shigeru buys something he makes a game out of it.

I personally experienced a big need to pee on the floor and eat from a bowl with only my mouth after playing this game. You know, because games do that to you, they make you act like characters in the game act. Thank god I don't play something like GTA or I would be on the street killing people.

Nintendogs: Chihuahua and Friends was the first video game I could ever call my own. Before, I shared the GameCube with my older brother who kinda hogged some of the games, but when I got my first DS for Christmas, it was a match made in heaven.

The reason why I loved nintendogs when I was younger was because my family didn’t have one after my childhood one passed away. So 9 year old me really appreciated having all the dogs I wanted, replicating my buddy and playing with plenty of other dogs.

Nintendogs was the first video game I ever got. I loved it and the sequel. Though I have to say, I don't get why the developers thought cats weren't as interesting dogs in terms of activities they could do. Lots of people take their cats outside on walks and there are plenty of competitions and cat shows people enter them in. They could have easily incorporated these things into Nintendogs+Cats. Why they didn't, I'll never understand.
