These hairstyles are beautiful and they look gorgeous but I don’t feel comfortable putting my hair into any other hairstyle then a high bun. kids in my school bully me for my hair even if it’s as hidden as I could get it. if you see this could you please give me any advice to help me with my confidence issues. I did not struggle so much with embracing my curls. I myself learned at a very young age to embrace my curls and love my natural hair. However, my seester, on the other hand, did not. She was like you, growing up she always found ways to hide her hair in buns, braids or by straightening it because she was teased and felt uncomfortable being the girl with the big frizzy curly hair. But I'm happy to say (and I'm sure you see this now through my videos) that she too has learned to embrace her curls. She really did this by learning how to manage her curls and loving herself and her hair because that's what made her unique. That's truly the best thing about curly hair or hair in general. No one has the same exact texture, colour, or pattern and that's what makes us all unique and beautiful I hope this helps and in the future, I'd love to share my seester's experiences and how she learned to embrace her curls on my channel with you all! My hair was straight until the summer before Junior High. No one in my family has curly hair, so no one knew how to do it. I had a frizzy messy hairdo for my photos. I was bullied and called names. So for 8th and 9th grade I slicked it back into a clip/bun. By 10th grade I w as starting to mess with it and figure it out (UA-cam wasn't a thing back then). I tried until I found something I liked. The crazy this is. I am 33 and until last year I NEVER wore my hair all the way down. I felt uncomfortable and awkward. I got a new haircut, tried new products and now I love it. Don't let anyone else define you. I feel more like me than ever because I embraced the curls. And now, people give me compliments (and touch it 😕) all the time. You are amazing, you can do it! Maybe start small. Wear it down to a store, etc. - Heather
It honestly sounds like they're jealous and just stupid. I know it's hard to deal with the bullying. Confidence is a huge weapon against that. I'd try wearing it and embracing it. If anyone has anything to say about it ignore them. I dealt with bullying of my curls for awhile. The compliments I get easily outweigh the negativity I used to get.
Nea Djordjevic the only thing I'd say is: after you graduate school, NONE of these kids will matter, they won't affect your future, and many of the friends you have now won't be close to you in adulthood. So screw what they think, they tease because they're bored and they know their teasing bother you. If you let them dictate what you choose to wear or how to act, they 'win' (not really but it gives them satisfaction) don't let them, sweetie. You are beautiful, your hair is beautiful. Show it off
Hi I'm hana! I've always had a trouble discovering my curly hair... I have long hair and a tight curl pattern.. I didn't discover my hair until the 7th grade.. In grade 6, I use to straighten my hair everyday so I won't be known as the girl with frizzy hair... in my elementary school years, my hair was either in a braided pony tail, a bun or straighten.. it was only one time in the 5th grade where I left my natural hair out.. I got many compliments but I felt insecure...

These comments have made me love my curly hair more and more. And these comments have helped me become more confident about my hair and my self..

I work out 6 days a week and only wash twice. I shake it out post workout and scrunch in the sweat and it’s not too bad lol. Sometimes I use a little water to reactive fluffy or frizzy pieces!

Until I was about 13 or 14, my mom would cut my hair. and that was just a disaster. She really had no idea how to deal with curly hair. She took me to a salon before a piano recital, and my world changed! It took me me a few years to get it longer and then learn a style or 2, but I've never been good at figuring out styles. My hair is very long now, but I'm ready to go back to medium or short. I'm so glad to have discovered your channel so that I'll have some options! 😄

I need to thank you again as the difference in my 5 yr old 's curls is unreal. I now get curl structure, how it sets, how you hold it, build it, tease or train curls to behave, I use the right tools, products and now techniques ...............Even got her a satin hair wrap with a treatment you can sleep in too. I really cant thank you enough as before I was so lost as in what to do with those lovely curls (my wee one may have more products and time took on her hair than me lol!)

I've been trying to train my hair, but it's too long for my lazy ass, so I'm going to try and get my hair cut professionally. Getting it done at a salon that does deva cuts. I'm super nervous! Everyone that's ever cut my hair has ruined it. I've had mullets. :/ You have been so informative and helped me want to actually try and embrace my curly hair. Even though the curls aren't there yet. Can you make a video about different haircut styles for different type of curls?? And suggested fixes for issues curly girls come across when they get haircuts??
For example I have 2b,2c, and 3a waves /curls. Less curly hair at the nape of the neck and goes curlier to the top.
