Tyler, I have a tip for you when making tier 3s: the higher your mixing spoon is, the slower the potion moves on the path. If its tip is just barely in the cauldron, it allows for extremely precise movement.
it's no different than people in medieval times not wanting to deal with bandits stealing their money and belongings so instead they sometimes had to sell their belongings to pay feudal taxes to mostly useless nobles, really, lol
I just started playing this game a few days ago, here are some tips about the whirlpools: (Spoiler Free.) 1: Their path is not revealed until you travel with them, rendering most a risk you don't want to take if you're on course for brewing something. 2: If they're near a pocket of bones with the largest size of experience book, they oftentimes place you inside them. 3: I recommend going on a few brews with cheap ingredients to figure out what each one does, that was a godsend for me. I tried my best not to spoil anything and I hope you continue with the series. I love your playthroughs. I know most of this is prerecorded but I hope you can get something out of it regardless. Oh yeah, have fun with the oil.
@@bensoncheung2801 uptop for instance, there is a giant patch of bones with two circular pockets where there are super big experience books placed inside
For potions that want half of an ingredient I realised u can just make the potion normally than add a ton of that ingredient at the end of the potion before saving it
quick tip: you can save an unfinished potion as a recipe, so if a lower strength is requested (or you need a quick way to another effect without adding the base recipe's effect) then you can simply start from that spot and work from there (add water for weak potions, etc.) edit: by unfinished, I mean it's on the tier 3 but I save it BEFORE I use the bellows to finish it (or perhaps you save a potion at the crossroads between other effects)
this is what i've done in my playthrough! it also helps with requests for specific ingredients cause you just dump enough of the ingredient and brew it, using the path isnt required
@@wingedfish1175 only works if you haven't "created" the potion yet, and even if it did work, what if there's a boneyard ahead of the water? maybe I wasn't clear enough, I'll edit my comment to be more specific
Tyler, that guy with a blade who offered to toss you a coin for the potion - it was indeed a reference. Witcher series with the song "toss a coin to your witcher"
I wish one could use potions as *ingredients* for other potions. I'd love for them to either have miniature versions of the path you took to create them (you're "diluting" them into your cauldron) or offer you *straight* movement according to their alchemical alignment (their position in the map relative to your base origin). The idea being that you could craft simpler potions in order to move in very precise ways to craft the more complex ones. Not that this would be different to *starting* from a potion recipe. It wouldn't imbue its properties to your final potion, it would only provide movement.
Overall great changes so far, potion rotating, more complex potions and special requests from customers are great, this way you are always busy with potion fine tuning and don't get stuck with boring off the mill potions.
I’m not sure the guy at 14:20 was actually hiding from bandits, why did he need the ingredient that’s described as being slippery and wet in his invisibility potion…
It so much more suspenseful to watch when we only get them once in a while. Licking he is playing my two favorite games on the channel of recent so in having a great time. Love the videos and hope your vacation is going well.
You can almost freely choose your position in a whirlpool by simply using water to the edge, then rotate to where you want. That way you always get maximum distance
This game feels like what is suppose to be a mini game inside a much larger one. Like a big RPG. But this does look quite in depth in gameplay. For starters, I hope the potion logic of the type of ingredients that mix in varying amounts and stir time, actually match the map that is being drawn to. I'm assuming they are connected, and that it's consistent.
The "I won't pay very much" can indeed be a big lie when secondary objectives are involved. I just had a dude who wanted to buy a weak potion with multiple effects to hide from the guards. I sold him a swiftness, charm, levitation, invisible potion. Despite his claims that he wouldn't pay very much, I got 3381 after haggling O.o
You can use foggy parasol to go straight up instead of windbluming or featerblueming. Also if you want to rotate a potion try to get sun salt and moon salt.

Eh, personally the rate of episodes doesn't make it more or less exciting for me, because it's the same content.

I can't resist the urge to add extra effects.
