The Chiron Super Sport is BACK, and it’s facing off against two mighty competitors!
Over on the far side of the track we’ve brought back the crazy twin-turbo Lambo Huracan, and between the two we’ve got an all-electric WRX rally car!
Why? Well, because we can - that’s why!
So let’s see how the three compare. Starting with the Bugatti, it’s powered by an incredible 8-litre quad-turbo W16 that pumps out 1,600hp and 1,600Nm of torque. It sends power to all four wheels via a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic gearbox, and it tips the scales at 1,995kg. There have only been 30 ever built, so as a result, it’s pretty expensive, costing around £4,000,000!!
Next up we have the Lambo, and it’s had a whole load of work done to it, including a fully built engine and gearbox! As a result, the 5.2-litre naturally-aspirated V10 can produce 1,800hp (although today it’ll be running at 1,600hp) and 1,500Nm! What’s more, it’s a whole lot lighter than the Bugatti, weighing just 1,650kg!
And then finally we have the WRX rally car! It’s only powered by a 2-litre 4 cylinder turbo engine, but it still puts down an incredible 600hp and 1,000Nm! What’s more, it’s easily the lightest car here, tipping the scales at just 1,300kg!
So will the Bugatti destroy the competition? Or could the rally car or Lambo snatch it? There’s only one way to find out… LET’S RACE!

yeah, most tuned cars are bugged in real life. On paper they might be fast, in reality something allways goes wrong. This Lambo kind did the same, but still came first. respect.

Lets just appreciate the level of stupid that someone thought it was a good idea to link the GPS to the engine management.
This was definitely one of the most interesting and most entertaining races on the channel, that lambo is actually insane, the fact that it can handle all that power in an instant is beast like
It's insane that the GPS is tied to the engine management! And that the GPS is so unreliable and/or intrusive. Guessing that's some bonkers EU mandated speed management nonsense? Combined with Audi level reliability electronics...

It seems odd to have your engine slaved to a GPS signal. That was on an airfield and no trees etc either. I'm sure there is a good explanation that I am too dumb to work out.

Thanks to my fellow West Aussie at the Lee car collection. Been to their meet ups before and they have some crazy vehicles including a tuned pink Lambo Huracan and few other rarities.

@@cjohnson9211 it's not that weird of a feature. Cars estimate their speed using multiple sources (e.g. estimated wheel speed, GPS, current gear combined with current engine RPMs...). If one of these isn't consistent with the others, then the whole system goes into limp-in mode because a failure may have occurred :)

Above all, I’m mostly impressed at the i4 banger mini coup that launched that hard off the line then kept up with the run… WOW just WOW 🤯 the handling too, so much torque and so much control. That Mini is amazing!!!!

@@davothegreat9990 The owner said that the gps is helping the car put the power down by using actual vehicle speed. He also mentioned that when they disabled gps the car was all over the place.

Gps works for stability control and gets vehicle wheel speeds per wheel to give the most amount of power to the ground via gps speed readings it will also then reduce speed per whee/axlel so the car can go as fast as possible ie right at the edge , Sadly the unit was cracked and giving false speed readings to the ecu - there fore telling the car it was doing wheels speeds it wasnt and it was confusing the ecu due to the damaged gps unit..
Its all for safety and to get the best performance of the vehicle..
As you would have seen in the Rimac vs. the Lambo race, we did.

New GPS unit is installed. it's for the safety of the car. As frustrated, the viewers were me, sam and my team were too.

I clicked on this video because I saw a Chiron at the Cars and Coffee in Perth today. Nearly fell out of my chair when I saw it was exactly the same one. Wild times. Not even day you get within a metre of a specimen like that

Koenigsegg got beat by Turbo S in drag race and Plaid in rolling race 50-165 mph rolling race Plaid hits limiter and Agera RS Barely passes
While Chiron Supersport destroyed Plaid track pack in every drag and rolling races
Chiron SS flew by Tesla plaid track pack
Tesla track pack was doing over 190 mph and Chiron SS was doing 212 mph about 2 bus lengths ahead
Agera RS only 191 mph at 1/2 mile rolling race
So we have a clear winner bud

Reliability. Is what conquered the races here and also overall admiration for what the highest quality looks like. Lamborghini with its briefly-lived spells of brilliance, BMW giving new meaning to 'it's not the size of the wave, its the motion of the ocean', and finally the Bugatti which is the all-encompassed King of the Road.
Whenever someone says 1600 hp is 1600 hp it is not true. Proper engineering and loads of testing does the 1600 hp. I think I've heard somewhere, that a Chiron is built to stable launch a 1000 times a day.
